And this is the country my mother was from... You know, the US isn't perfect, and I do agree that the War in Iraq has gone too far from the point, but burning the flag is another thing. You know, I can't believe that my mom is from a country that hates the US, I feel like I'm from a family of traitors. And you shouldn't just blame the president for the mess. You should also blame congress, as they passed the bills that the president has signed. Bush is pushed around by congress and takes the hit
Im not for the war in Iraq, and im not happy with alot of what happens in the world, but burning a countries flag no matter the country is I think stupid, ignorant and wrong. People have died under that flag, and the US has done good. Every country fucks up. All good to be anti that, but seriously think people.
Finally, someone who knows what they're talking about! So, what do you say, will Iraq be better off without Saddam? Or will another tyrant take his place when the US leaves, and the violence and corruption continue like before? Can Iraqis live in peace? Or will the Sunnis, Shi'ites, Kurds, and Iranians always be at each others throats? We want to know!
You fuk'n drop kicks need jobs. You create no value for this country with your bullsht protesting. The only thing you understand about putting your head down and tail up is when your pig hippy btches smash your pussy arses.
I was at the protest and I own my own home free hold and have an excellent job $82,000 a year
Do You?
I know all about hard work and Im working hard to make sure american terrorists such as bush and rice dont push their filthy usa agenda in my childrens country
You love America so much then move there go on piss off.
Good one! Tutang - or is this name you trying to be Wutang. Funny that your play on my user name was changing kiwi to kike. Do you view all kiwis as jews? Finances?? who can validate what I earn or u earn? All I can say is owning a $30,000 house in tokoroa and earning $82,000 a year from your plantation does not make you a stand up citizen. The point I am making is that we are all ignorant to what really goes on out there, at least I am not the attention seekers protesting about unknown shit.
your pretty extreme mate. Go to the south pole and live there if your so aganist usa. Or get blown up by some terrorists after USA and NZ have withdrawn from iraq. Dont need your stupid opions here in NZ
New Zealand isn't currently deployed in either Iraq or Afhganistan in a combat role.. Iraq has one defence force attache posted, and afghanistan has ca. 150 Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) deployed to help rebuild inferstructure.
New Zealand actually showed little support for the war in Iraq.
NZDF myself, I think these students, should study a little harder, and maybe educate themselves fully in foreign policy.
the kiwicanuck you should change you name to theusacanuck why do you care if they burn the flag? maybe if the stupid cops were out shutting down p labs instead of protecting rice cake there wouldnt be all those shootings in auckland
I would find it offensive if someone burnt a NZ, Maori, or Canadian flag, so I don't condone burning anyone else's flag either. Just think how many clan labs the cops could have been shutting down while they were forced to hang around babysitting these guys instead...
yeah they baby sitting alright babysitting a terrorist named condomlezza rice thats the only reson they were there and think why no one burns NZ or Maori or canadian flags
because none of them are going round destroying the world and for your information the guy who burnt the flag was an american
i agree with you kiwicanuck. primativemorbid the police are going to have to have some sercuity for officals like condonlezia rice. But they could have less if stupid extremes were wasting your time and everyone elses time protestng for nothing. Maybe there woud be more police to shutdown p labs then
Looks like the coppers are escorting the protesters? Still, if they didn't and one of 'em got hit by a car or bus there would be complaints all round I'm sure.
Yeah, you wish, mate. I had never even thought of making an alter ego to support my own arguments. I'd be ashamed to, it goes against my "everybody-play-by-the-rules-and-be-fair" mentality, which you may have noticed already. I'm not going to try prove it, I shouldn't have to, you're all just going to have to take my word for it. But if it makes you feel any better, I noticed some foul language in NZGhostdog's first comment, and have removed it. Have a nice day everybody!
To those who will no doubt berate my views I say this. My comments are based on my observation that the protest movement in New Zealand is generally small and fragmented. It is my belief that this is a direct result of living in a free and democratic country with high voter participation and a mostly representative parliament. Protest is more likely to arise in the absence of these conditions. I'm glad I live in NZ. I don't agree with the protesters but respect their right to protest.
I agree rightly or wrongly we are part of an occupying force. However it would be worthy to note that without that force the current weak government of Afghanistan would be overrun by the Taliban who draw support not just from the south of Afghanistan but also are supplemented by forces from Pakistan and the rest of the world. You choose the lesser of two evils. The weak partially democratic present government with all its failings or the Taliban. That's the decision the powers that be have.
Click on the profile for NZGhostdog below - they joined yesterday, have watched one video and made one comment - this profile was just made up in order to create fake support for thekiwicanuck's views. FAKER!!!!!
Interesting observation. I thought it was odd myself, though his comment did ring true, maybe too true for some. I too, get sick of seeing the same miserable loudmouths at all the anti-government, anti-police, and anti-USA type protests, when they can't be bothered demonstrating about issues that are actually relevant here; drugs, violence, child abuse etc. For people so concerned about human rights, they get their kicks abusing theirs. Burning flags, screaming obscenities, spitting on cops etc.
What can I say to that ... I'm a long time listener first time caller? Posts like yours are the reason why for so long I have chosen not to post comments as it becomes a competitive hate speech match instead of a debate about an idea. How is kiwi faking support? He made and posted these video's. Respect his channel and his ideas much like he is showing respect by allowing debate.
Oh, hahaha! It took me until now to realise digitalbath was accusing ME of being a faker! I was gonna say, he sounds like some of the activists in the video above, they see a conspiracy at every turn... But as you say, these threads all turn to custard so quickly, I'm already considering disabling comments... Peace, and thanks for the backup...

Thanks Kiwi for posting these.
I think NZers have to accept that they are part of an occupying force in those afghan persian? lands, right or wrongly is irrelevant now.
Move to put things as right as possible and aim to make a better world.
Clearly the powers that make these decisions are going to stick to them until there is a proper exit plan.
And that's where these protesters do us all a favor, cause they show them and us that we ppl do care, and I applaud their efforts.
