You know I endorsed him first. Then when it looked like he couldn't get many votes and when Obama was way ahead in the polls I endorsed McCain out of desperation. I am disappointed that I did that. I should have stuck with Bob Barr.

Libertarians are just ashamed-republicans-in-hiding with an extra dose of greed thrown into the mix.
Do us all a favor and shut the fuck up & go hide in your US Flag jammies & suck on your independent thumb while dreaming of fiscal responsibility while we set to work fixing all the damage that your fiscal responsibility nutjob ideology about has done to turn our country into a Hellish mess of uncared for sick children, ruined airlines & public transit systems, dead factories & falling bridges.

Libertarians want to abolish Social Security and condemn millions of old & disabled people to fend for themselves in the streets or to grovel at some church for a little food. Is that the sort of America you want??
Bob Barr - The perfect idiot to represent one of the kookiest of political ideas.
i actually just decided im voting Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party instead after reading an article Baldwin wrote entitled "Christian Right Just Doesn't Get It." In the 2nd paragraph he says, "We are pro-life; we stand for marriage as God defined it, we believe children should have the right to pray in school." He's too much of a theocrat for me. Im pro-choice and I support ALL individual rights including gays. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! I guess I'm more libertarian than conservative.
Bob Barr is a distraction, designed to split the revolution.
He voted for the war and the Patriot Act, is pro abortion, changed position on the drug war, and isn't for ending the income tax... among other things.
Why do you think he's getting so much positive press coverage? Don't be fooled!
Chuck Baldwin 2008! (Because he didn't have to CHANGE to get your vote.)
I think all Libertarians and all minarchist libertarians are worried about Bob Barr. Whether he is just trying to get votes or he has truly changed his opinion is left to speculate.
This life-member Libertarian is excited for Bob Barr as our candidate. He's the best candidate we've had. He handles himself with the leadership qualities needed when he's interviewed on Glenn Beck or other nationwide media outlets.
bobbarr2008(dot)com donate today. Let's get him on the ballot in all 50 states, and continue the libertarian revolution Ron Paul started.
Bob Barr is a great speaker, he's already had more media coverage than most past LP candidates got in their entire campaigns.
Yes, he's a recent convert to Libertarianism. And we need more like him. It's up to the long timers to help the newcomers to move along the road toward pure liberty.
I prefer Ron Paul to Barr too, but I was strongly against Ron Paul slightly more than six weeks ago. Barr has been in the LP for two years. It's possible to see the light and have a complete turn around. He should have known better, and I should have known better, but people are changing their mind - even closed minded people like I was. Keep getting the message out.
Good for you dsing. Just like Wayne Root, I too brought into the propaganda initially and was pro-war after 9/11. I have always been a very politically minded person so it took alot for me to swallow my pride and admit it when I was wrong.
I am happy to have seen the light, however, thanks to the Thomas Jefferson of our time: Ron Paul.
Bob Barr voted for the Patriot Act! Add Bob to the list of frauds running for President in 2008. I'm sure he regrets voting for it, but we could vote for someone who didn't vote for it the first time.
I'm sorry bu Barr needs run for a position smaller than Prez and build a libertarian voting recored then MAYBE I CAN TRUST HIM WITH MY VOTE. isn't Ron Paul's voting record the main reason why we luv & trust him? I don't know abut you guys but if Paul does not get the Nomination Chuck Baldwin of the constitution party will get my vote, at least Chuck busted his ASS campaigning for Ron Paul, where was Barr when Paul was at his peek? voting yes to the Patriot act? screw Barr!
I don't have a problem with anybody voting for Chuck Baldwin or Bob Barr...we need to deprive McCain of a victory...that is the ONLY way to move the GOP in a way toward liberty...If McCain wins,he can just kiss the limited government,pro-freedom wing of the Republicans good-bye....it's also VITAL to make sure that your vote is counted...I'm afraid alot of write-in votes will be ignored....Baldwin or Barr.....is fine
I know that Bob Barr is not the perfict Libertarian. But he is way way better than McCain or Obama or Clinton.
If Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination I will vote for Paul but he will not run 3rd party because he wants to keep his seat in congress. We need Ron Paul in congress.
Put some of the differences you have with Barr behind you and vote for the most Libertarian running for president.
Seems the Libertarian Party is playing the odds these days. They went with a female candidate and one that is a sort of turncoat Republican once a representative of the Neocon movement. I understand people change but I'm worried about the legitimacy of their selection and hope that it is honest.
Maybe his "conversion" is sincere. I'm not a mind reader. But couldn't the L party find a candidate who did not vote for the Patriot Act and the Defense of Marriage Act?
Bob Barr should reach out to Jesse Ventura, judge napolitno (typo) or Ron Paul for a libertarian party ticket. He needs a v.p. with just as much name recognition as himself.
To be honest with you i'm not a big fan of bob barr. My dream ticket is Ron Paul/Jesse Ventura. We need an online petition ask for this dream ticket. I'm sure millions would sign the petition.
i'm not either. he doesn't appear to be solidly libertarian. i'm with ron paul all the way because he's built up his libertarian credentials for decades as opposed to barr who appears to have a gop stooge for all but the last five or so years.
the libertarians (really disgruntled republiicans) have further lost any credibility when they nominate a real nutball for the presidency of the united states.
hey you dumb libertarians, if you really want to be taken seriously, don't nominate so called southern "christian" hate mongers as your candidate for the highest office in the land.
Staying "pure" would have generated more of the same results we've had in the past, the media ignoring us, blocked from the presidential debates, our message not heard outside of our own circles, and 1 % of the popular vote in the general election. I am grateful to see our party nominate someone who will move the message of libertarianism into the mainstream. Please realize that people do grow, change, and come to see the light. I hope we heal this rift, and work together for freedom.
I am currently SERIOUSLY considering becoming LIBERTARIAN, since the GOP has been so disappointing in the last 20years. I have read the 2008 platform for LP and agree with the main items FREEDOM and LIBERTY. Even tho' votes for Barr / Root will probably end up getting O'B into the Presidency enough of us turning to the LP will force the other parties to look twice at what they are doing. Look at the local politicians that are LP and help them! Get out there and do your part for LIBERTY!
I thought this guy was WAY over the top during the impeachment days. Maybe some of you know (?) if he's still "Republican" to the core . . . or indeed a libertarian. I'm interested in real issues that matter to the country, not sex lies, etc. Heck, if lying about sex gets you impeached, then what's the just punishment for Bush/Cheney? Crucifixion?
I may watch to see if he's changed, but I still plan to write in Ron Paul.
Hey! There are all 5 dozen Ron Paul voters there! Maybe crowd psychology or human nature does not permit civilized man to live with no government, or a government that does not spend or tax. But a government that does not spend or tax sounds like any oxymoron. Hence, as long as we shall live government will always be around to tax, spend, and intrude. Kind of like a forced marriage for life. At least she's no whore!
I swear, McCain is the worst. We need Barr to humiliate the old usless McCain and take his votes, just like McCain had that phoney Huckabee tak votes from Mitt Romney...YEAH WE DIDNT FORGET THAT JOHN! McCain and Obama is only more of the same, we are going to lose this nation unless a barr gets elected.
Bob Barr is totally different from Ron Paul, and just wants Ron Paul voters!!! His background clearly indicates he is neo-conservative not libertarian!
Bob Barr is Pro-Ron Paul. Get behind him, Paul supporters. He's not Ron Paul, but he is for liberty, privacy and for withdrawl from Iraq. And, unlike Paul, Bob Barr will be on the ballot in November. God Bless Ron Paul. God Speed Bob Barr!
The best candidate won the nomination. Bob Barr will finally take the Libertarian beyond the 1% vote total its members are used to seeing. I hope the leftists in the LP finally get up and leave. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.
Mary was pro-Ron Paul and those rich not really libertarians didn't let her win and voted for Bob Barr!! Rich Bob Barr real view is totally different from Ron Paul policy.
you sound as though you are sitting in filth, hating ppl with more $ than you. clean up your trailer, get a job, contribute some cash for the cause of liberty.
