i actually just decided im voting Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party instead after reading an article Baldwin wrote entitled "Christian Right Just Doesn't Get It." In the 2nd paragraph he says, "We are pro-life; we stand for marriage as God defined it, we believe children should have the right to pray in school." He's too much of a theocrat for me. Im pro-choice and I support ALL individual rights including gays. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! I guess I'm more libertarian than conservative.

I prefer Ron Paul to Barr too, but I was strongly against Ron Paul slightly more than six weeks ago. Barr has been in the LP for two years. It's possible to see the light and have a complete turn around. He should have known better, and I should have known better, but people are changing their mind - even closed minded people like I was. I know that Bob Barr is not the perfict Libertarian. But he is way way better than McCain or Obama or Clinton.

If Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination I will vote for Paul but he will not run 3rd party because he wants to keep his seat in congress. We need Ron Paul in congress.

Staying "pure" would have generated more of the same results we've had in the past, the media ignoring us, blocked from the presidential debates, our message not heard outside of our own circles, and 1 % of the popular vote in the general election. I am currently SERIOUSLY considering becoming LIBERTARIAN, since the GOP has been so disappointing in the last 20years. I have read the 2008 platform for LP and agree with the main items FREEDOM and LIBERTY. Even tho' votes for Barr / Root will probably end up getting O'B into the Presidency enough of us turning to the LP will force the other parties to look twice at what they are doing.
