Hey, I just got this game at GameStop today, and it's taking a pretty long time to load. Does anyone know if it's supposed to do that or not? It's pre-owned with scratches and stuff. Whenever I click "New Game" It shows the text, a complete loading bar, and no gameplay pops up. I never even got to play!

@machinimamarlon Sounds like you have a broken copy, that happens sometimes at game stores, because they just pop it and see if the title screen loads up, they don't test gameplay. And to answer your question, no that game loads very quickly, I hope you find a working copy, this game really is a gem to have.

I didn't like it all that much. The story was way beneath my expectations and there was zero character development. Gameplay was fine, the game is packed with stuff to do, kill and collect, but eventually it got very repetitive.

I remember this battle; the first time I did it, I was expecting Arabis or something of that nature; instead I get Seed's doppelganger. I didn't really mind though; Seed was my favorite boss battle... O.o

Hey I'm curious if you really beated the game 100% I finished the Hunter Ranking, Rare Items, Quarries, Hunting for all the monsters, Insectron, Revelation flow, Frog Log, and Factory all of MIOS quests and got all the final equipments for all the characters. I got the final forms for all the seven star swords got the dorgencalibur,sword of sin, and beated the game twice + the ghost ship extreme twice for the new game +. and maxed all the characters levels to 99..did you also achieve this??

Yeah this game never really hit too big in the US but it definitly was the best rpg i ever played, its also fun to get the strategy guide(which was 400 pages long) and then you have like 40 more hours of replayability

I'm on floor 60 40 more to go! The ship is hard as hell the bosses seem easier to take on than the random enemies, mostly because of their numbers and freakin shield and barrier statuses but Seed was one of the best bosses.

I remember scouting around for any ps2 rpg's I may have missed before they are taken off the shelves forever and I ran across this game a few times but was never really sure if I would like it. Anyway, went out and bought it on a whim because there really was nothing else and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. I actually really enjoyed this one. Lots to do and find and the story isn't terrible.

Jouxus, sorry, but I got to disagree on this one. While Kingdom Hearts is a good game and it has a better story overall than Rogue Galaxy, Rogue Galaxy is a much deeper game than Kingdom Hearts. Besides, aside from Final Fantasy XII and Rogue Galaxy, what other RPGs actually compel you for some actually GOOD reason to find and kill not only regular monsters but also bosses as well in the game and then actually rewards you with some good things after you kill them all in the game, hmm?

Go to where they say the monster is and look around for a question mark. Press X on it and you get a hint on an item you need. Use the right item and the monster comes out.

The party you use is so standard, but it's foreign to me. I prefer Simon and Steve, mostly because I just stack Missile Squalls and Icy Eye Beams on top of each other. It works, though. Mother's second form fell in two minutes, counting ability scenes. I'm gonna try Kisala and Zegram, though.

I haven't had enough time to finish the Demon Battleship, but I know this; Mother in her second form, use Kisala and Zegram, and constantly use the abilities Illusion Sword Lv 2 and, if you're in a pinch, Supernova Lv 3.

As well, use Zegram's Drunken Burst Lv 2 if you feel merciless.
