befor patch 50 ip per game.. for a 6300 champ you need 6300*10/(50*60) = 21 hours...

little holidayjob ... 10 euro per hour =1779 RP = 1,8 x 6300 cham... in 1 hour...

21 working = 210 euro = 37359 RP =38 x 6300 champs...

i dont understand why people doing ip farming (its waste of time.. time is money)

@thuesen207 - That's interesting, as I used this to gain upwards of 35,000-40,000 IP and I'm still playing. You probably got banned for something else you did during that time, IP farming doesn't break any rules.

@JamesxDC - I thought so too at first, but after a quick check just now, IP farming seems more viable than ever. I just ran a 9 minute solo test game which awarded 70 IP (was 71 pre-patch), so they seem to have removed the minimum time limit on rewards, while leaving the IP gain roughly the same. This is especially attractive in light of the new (reduced) IP gains from normal games. Plus, if that new 180min/day limit means the 6game/day limit is gone, this patch was a huge buff to IP farming.

Update: There must've been some glitch in the system, because I had a per-win IP boost in effect (Riot's compensation for downtime), and I was getting 70+69 IP per match. After the boost expired, I'm only getting 43 IP per match. Bought a 1 day IP-boost to see if it goes back, but it's giving 43+43 with the boost now, so that seems to be the new normal. On the other hand, you can finish games in 5-6 minutes now, with the ability to do 25-30 each day if you want, so it's still viable overall.

PS: It's just more efficient to do IP farming in groups now, as a good group can finish faster than a solo champion.

@technoexpert112 - It depends on the server load. Riot disables 1v1 custom games to preserve server capacity when the load is high so you can't always do this. But during these times, you can go on group IP farming matches, which can work just as well, provided you don't get too many clueless teammates.

@1crapacila - You need to have an equal number of champions on both sides, otherwise you get no IP/XP for the match (due to imbalanced teams), so if you're playing solo, you need at least one bot to play against.

@ch0biq - Good question. Looking at the patch notes, he seems like a really potent farmer. If his Ruthless Predator skill works on towers, and has a low cooldown, he could be up there with Mundo. However, Mundo's E skill literally eats towers and has such a low cooldown, that it's almost always active. It's pretty hard to beat, but when it comes to IP farming, you don't need to be as fast as Mundo to make it in 11 minutes, other champions can do it as well.

@strykersro - Yes, you don't get anything for winning before 11:00 real game time*. This is to prevent people from farming practice matches in just a couple of minutes. That's why you see me just standing around near the end.

*By real game time I mean the time shown on the post-match victory screen. It's usually not the same as what the in-game clock shows, as the in-game clock is late by 10 seconds (unless you're having major lag), so 11:00 real game time is actually 10:50 in-game time.

@Steafonn - The most efficient way of earning IP would be to do this:

- Win a normal game for the First Win of the Day bonus.

- Do 6 practice games. Mark the time you started doing them (they reset in 22 hours, just like First Win of the Day)

- Play more normal games if you have any time left.

Repeat each day.

IP boosts can help as well, though I only suggest getting the X-day boosts (never the per win ones) and only for days when you can pull off several hour long LoL marathons.

@ragelfragel2 - As shown at the end of the vid, that game in particular awarded 142 IP since I had an IP boost in effect at the time (Riot was giving them away for free to compensate for some heavy server downtime).

But normally you get 71 IP / game. You get IP/XP for 6 practice games / day. So that's 426 IP and 400-900 XP depending on your level for roughly an hour of your time each day. I didn't keep track of total gains but it was probably around 25,000-30,000 IP from level 1 to 30.

@vonerzz - It depends on the server load at the time you're playing. Riot is currently trying to upgrade server capacity, but they're obviously not there yet, so when the load is high, they restrict practice games to minimum 2+ players per game.

Back when I recorded this, 1vbot practice games have been re-enabled for quite some time so I naively thought it'd be permanent. Looks like it wasn't, so you just need to wait and keep checking - they often re-enable them for off-peak hours.

@nvhk - Mundo is definitely one of the fastest champions for this, due to his E skill which literally eats towers.

But since you need to wait until 11 minutes of game time has expired anyway (otherwise you get no IP/XP for winning), many other champions could probably make it in that time as well.

Best suited for the job are champions which have some attack damage/speed increasing skill (to take out towers fast) on a low cooldown (Trist, MF, Xin, Yi, Sion, Nunu, Olaf, Udyr etc.).

Personally, I played these IP farming games to level my new EU summoner, because I didn't want to ruin it for new players by smurfing. ;)
