I think there is a difference between an ad hominem attack and a fallacy, the attack is calling him names or attacking his character (usually without due cause), the fallacy comes when you then USE that attack to dismiss his argument, like Nephy did with FSAthe1st's "Educating Nephilimfree" (Classic textbook ad hominem fallacy)
