I've always wondered why I never liked CGI/computer animation but it has always left me cold. It's at its worst when it tries to pass as reality and at its best when it's pure animation. That said, it is completely sterile and devoid of any signs of humanity or nature: hair, bodily fluids, foul odors, ugliness, rotting material, sex, energy, etc. There isn't any contact between the artist and his/her medium in CGI - it's all virtual - like much of modern day human interaction. This is a problem.
so. (^ care to fix it? I mean find ways to add all that stuff to CG? or do you just want to watch work by those willing to reach toxic shock levles for you?

yeah its the same with software synthesizers and many digital workflows but, its getting better.
with haptics and software like zbrush its becoming more organic. but yeah. i totally agree.
