Does your Zune HD have a native mail app? The app store had a couple thousand apps within months of its launch. Zune HD has been around for nearly a years and still doesnt have that amount of apps yet. And the iPod started with 11 apps, not one.
@johnathon124 the reason there are not so many apps on the zune is because when apple had the idea to open an app store there were hundreds of people who came up with new games, new useless apps, and business apps, etc. Now with an app store just opening all the ideas have been taken, theres not nearly as many people left who would switch over to the zune to make an app when they are making money with apple. Give it time and microsoft will have updates and apps.

well in the Fry's electronics of City of Industry California (where i reside), the display zune is not loaded with anything and the UI is only present. and I hardly believe that you spend the necessary hours of time needed to make an informed conclusion about a device in the middle of a store. i bought an iPod touch and used for several months, but the UI was bland, i couldn't export video anywhere but a computer, and the apps were dismal. the backlight also burned out, mind you.

And i dont know if youve heard this saying yet, but when you run into something on iPod, iPhone, or iPad that you cant do, "There's an app for that." Ive even gone against Apple and installed iMovie on my iPod touch [ its only available for iPhone 4 officially ], and there is always an app that can help me do what i need to do.

works. ZWAM is currently in beta stage, and it only has a few app preloaded into it, like a guitar tuner and Simon Says (too name a few), but it won't allow you to acces all of yours apps throug it unless you add them to the application's codin in XNA
u can't, it's a security measure placed by microsoft, the reason it restarts is due to the fact that some people will steal your stuff through shitty apps. But, microsoft allows for app creation, so it won't happen for much longer once the app you have becomes available on the marketplace...
Besides a restart for your zune is the best thing it could have.

plus thats one example of a great game, and all of the Zune's good user created and official apps are free. have you seen the graphics on AudioSurf Tilt?
the colors and different track designs integrated with the tempo and beat of your music is amazing, plus the OLED screen fucking kicks ass. the point here being you can get a lot of good out of the iPod, but you have to pay so much extra

App Store killed Zune's market. iPhone 4 is here with a 720p capable display, Zune barely stands a chance anymore.

@zs7iey The closest ive ever gotten to looking at N.O.V.A was the screenshots. i have yet to buy that game or download from installous. and Zune HD is a multimedia device. the iPhone 4 is also a multimedia device. With a phone attatched. and an iPod touch is just an iPhone without phone capabilities.

@zs7iey It Seems you havent realized im not an Apple fanboy.. You're a bit slow. Any device that has the Google Android OS is a multimedia device. As long as its on a architecture that can fully run the original OS at minimum, it is enough to be called a multimedia device. It Plays music, plays videos, plays games, browses the Web, has a photo gallery, and can do just as much as iOS and Zune can do. What you seem to not understand, iPod touch and iPhone run the same freaking OS. as well as iPad.

@zs7iey if you acknowledge that iOS is cross platform, then Zune HD and iPhone 4 are comparable. the only thing you need to do is look aside from the phone features. Same with android. Take away the phone features and youve got yourself the exact same thing you had 5 minutes ago, except the phone. They're all comparable.

oh so i can compare apple shitty iPod nano with my zune and my droid because their both "media plauers" . in that case my PC plays media, so i guess it's a media player too. well my pc can make calls, has an 8 megapixel web cam, has millions of software functions, and has multiple usb ports, not to mention firewire and ethernet. oh and natvie wifi. it doesnt work that way moron. the iPhone is in an entirely different market.

@zs7iey You lack the minimum amount of common sense required to be called human. you sir a robot. the store has the Zunes on display. these Zunes are just ones pulled right from the box. its loaded with several songs, apps that are and arent available on the market. several high quality photos. and HD Video. on top of all that, its content is updated frequently. Android is HD capable and can provide sound better than Zune HD, plus it and iOS has several more features the WCE for ZHD.

well in the Fry's electronics of City of Industry California (where i reside), the display zune is not loaded with anything and the UI is only present. and I hardly believe that you spend the necessary hours of time needed to make an informed conclusion about a device in the middle of a store. i bought an iPod touch and used for several months, but the UI was bland, i couldn't export video anywhere but a computer, and the apps were dismal. the backlight also burned out, mind you.

And i dont know if youve heard this saying yet, but when you run into something on iPod, iPhone, or iPad that you cant do, "There's an app for that." Ive even gone against Apple and installed iMovie on my iPod touch [ its only available for iPhone 4 officially ], and there is always an app that can help me do what i need to do.

does the zune have a gun app? cuz i played with a friends ipod touch and his gun app was very fun to me for some reason.
trying to decide which to buy. almost perfectly on the fence. the ipods got the speakers and then a ton of apps that do a ton of stuff. if the zune at least some of the good apps then ill probably buy that.

@Johnny2691 thats not exactly how the Zune Wide Application Menu (or ZWAM)
works. ZWAM is currently in beta stage, and it only has a few app preloaded into it, like a guitar tuner and Simon Says (too name a few), but it won't allow you to acces all of yours apps throug it unless you add them to the application's codin in XNA

u can't, it's a security measure placed by microsoft, the reason it restarts is due to the fact that some people will steal your stuff through shitty apps. But, microsoft allows for app creation, so it won't happen for much longer once the app you have becomes available on the marketplace...
Besides a restart for your zune is the best thing it could have.

in windows, right click the file you just downloaded and look in the tabs general or security near the bottom for a button that says unlock
click that and youre good to go =)
