i was throwing high 130's with the 1.6k disc...now I'm throwing 100's in Div III track with the 2k...word to the wise...train with the bigger disk..I wen't back to my highschool to teach technique and stuff to the seniors and tossed the 1.6 atleast 150. It adds a lot to your throw...like swinging two bats before you get up to hit in baseball...same concept...gl with the rest of your season.
that depend if you throw i higher weight....if you throw the higher weight long enouph you get used to the weight and somtimes if you go back to the smaller one your ballance may be off....but thats not for everyone tho
the key for you is going to be keeping your (what is right now INCREDIBLE) upper body flexibility. you will need to add on strength to throw the 2k well and with that you will need to stretch a ton to keep what you have now. very impressive technique though.

It's debatable... I definitely think that throwing a 20lb hammer in practice helps, but alas, these are not the same events.
