An idea that you apply to your martial arts training, for instance let's say you practice different martial arts. You find a TKD kick very useful to you, there is a karate punch you find good, there's a Wing Chun block that works out well, and so on. What JKD is about, "Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own."
