  • Seal the monster's lair?

  • WHO WILL HELP ME HARVEST THE WHEAT?!

  • I know it's unexpected, but the people from YOUTUBE have something to say:

This is a sweet track, I admit never playing the game myself back then, but after watching an LP this song really grew on me.

Shame how this game is relatively unknown, at least in Europe. Poor marketing probably ruined the game, because itself was just right: A nice simulation part, and some pretty cool acts and bosses.

  • Check out Scarlatti's K. 1 sonata for a piece with a similar sound.

  • This has such a medieval feel to it, i just want walk around thinking im in that era

  • @MotorsportUK2009 More like a classical feel like Beethoven.

  • My friend: Why is there an ugly cherub on the screen?

  • 0 dislikes

    Damn straight

  • @popsodarootbeers you have to say shit like that and motivate posts to dislike it dont you?

  • @123doomdoom It hasn't happened so far...

  • awesome music and awesome game i want actraiser 3

  • Aw man!!!!!!!!!!! This was the song in this game you never got tired of after hearing it over and over again for hours ^_^

  • @JK47Tubing Do you believe me that my 2nd song on winamp by number of plays has 48 plays and 1st is ActRaiser - Sacrifices with 1101... o.O And when I now add this one, thats it... :D

Btw this is my favorite game and Sacrifices and after it this melody are my two best of all the music in the world... :D

  • Definite influence from Bach's Double Violin Concerto - watch?v=-CwICXwLBmo

Especially at 2:02 in the vid. Came across Bach's song not too long ago and immediately though of this Actraiser theme.

  • @snizshizzle heh, l always thought "birth of the people" sounded like a JS Bach piece, and now l know :-)

  • @snizshizzle Actually, Birth of the People uses a contrapuntal style that is very similar to the style used by Bach.

  • My friend called the guide "an ugly cherub."

  • Its nice to see that not a single one of the 17 168(9) have disliked this song!

    Just so..... Perfect!

  • Omg. Everytime I break into song, it's this song, but I never knew where to find it cause I Was like four when my brother would play this game xDD

  • The first time my friend saw this, he wanted to know why you're guided by an "ugly cherub."

  • An excellent tune for building an entire civilization from scratch. :)

  • Those people who know about music more than I do.... This is a fugue, right?

  • I use this to pray!

  • anyone knows where I can download all the music of this game ? Never played to this one, but the music is WONDERFUL

  • @Bukosaure

    Try snesmusic org

  • wonderful echoes of Bach.....

  • @Hegelmaus81 In all his grandeur and at his best!

  • YES!!! I FOUND IT!!! This is one of the most memorable music pieces of my childhood. Now, All I can think about is playing this this absolutely EPIC game!

  • I have a bad habit of whistling along to tunes I listen to. Having not heard this track for a decade I'm having no problem whistling along to this as though I were playing it still.

  • @tantoedge

Why do you use the word 'bad' to describe this habit? I'm right there with you! :)

  • @diamondlancer Freudian slip.

  • @diamondlancer It's called "melomania". I'm a melomaniac. I'm whistling all day. Insomuch I've got serious difficulties paying attention and concentrating at tasks... It is a serious condition, trust me.

  • @tantoedge Me too, but there's always the dilemma whether to whistle along to the bass or the tenor voice at 0:19. Usually I pick the bass, though. : )

  • @tantoedge That's why I'm here today actually...crazy. I've always loved this tune from this game. Awesome!

  • *Blasts a bunch of Dragons and eagles trying to eat mah peoples*

  • beautiful....jus beautiful.....

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • @EkoKay Say it to your mom!

  • I can't believe this song has only 9,000 views.. one of the best songs made on snes thanks for sharing

  • Ah, the good old days. Nothing was better than being a young adult playing these games in an air-conditioned home in those hot summer days, listening to Yuzo's best soundtrack. So simple and comfy life was back then.

  • God knows how many hours I spent listening to this song, and I never got tired of it. Love it

  • CREATE ORDER FROM CHAOS!

  • @CitanKainUzuki Pretty much my mantra durng college semesters. XD

  • FUCK YES, LET'S GO GROW SOME WHEAT!

  • @shinkaito I love you.

  • @shinkaito

Lol! fuc Yeah! Les do it!

  • @shinkaito Alls I can say is that comment made my day! Actraiser 4 life!

  • the happiest somg ever invented

  • Most likely he had to teleport down some times to kick some ass too. Like a centaur dude all up in his forest and stuff that he had to fireball.

  • Thanks man!

  • I was about 8 when I first played this game... I loved it and I was hooked instantly! All this and not knowing english..... *games back in those times you could not choose other languages*

  • @SGTSAS Sometimes I feel like 8 and 16 bit video games created an entire global generation of bilingual English speakers (sin embargo, con las frases como "The truck have started to move" y "Somebody set up us the bomb", todavia no estoy completamente seguro que si fue el ingles que los juegos estaban ensenando pero me voy de tema)

  • Even though you could play that game in sheer action mode without the RPG segments, that game was so intense that the RPG segments actually provided a nice break in between the fierce adventuring. XD

  • Megadriver made an awesome cover, one of the best songs I heard.

  • One of the catchiest tunes ever.

  • It is o_O I heard it for the first time when I was 10 and I couldn't get it out of my head since.

  • when I was about 7 I had this game but never paid much attention to it..

  • yea...verily.

  • I love you for this.

  • Ooooh, esta música es genial... inspirada en el Barroco... espero y puedas subir también la versión orquestal...

    Ciaoo
