As a Christian I would really really like to see Ergun respond to this. It is clear that he has been caught in a lie, he has been asked by both Muslims and Christians to account for these obvious blunders that show he is ignorant of the Islamic faith. Many Christians have asked him to give an account because our community knows he is not representing his past in complete honesty. He is a sham on Christian Islamic relations and Christianity as a whole.

I think when he said "sunagogay" (it sounded like he might have pronounced the first part as "u," but "upsilon" is also transliterated as "y"), he was actually referring to the Greek συναγωγή (he is pronouncing it according to the "Erasmian" pronunciation system of biblical Greek, which is why it would sound different from the way it would be said in Modern Greek).

Still, he should have clarified that he was referring to the Greek word.

unfortunately man this I believe this in fact is true. I went to Liberty University and spent time in both his class and listening to him in church. I then left LU and went to the middle east. and what I found him to be saying was contradictory to what I was seeing with my own to eyes, hearing with my own ears, and experienceing. I don't know much Arabic and didn't know what some of the words he was using. I wanted to go back to the school and chanllenge him, but his broke out first.

Attempts to defend Caner's lies by pretending this is all a Muslim plot to disprove genuine conversions from Islam is pure smoke-screen.

I wish that some of the pronunciations would be highlighted. They go by so fast and I am unfamiliar with the language so i would like a more detailed explanation why he is pronouncing them wrong. You make a very strong case.  I am ashamed that so many people are standing by this liar.
