The worst thing about this game is that, it has no openworld.

That's why I prefer Oblivion.

@Vultar666 Yeah, but if they put the combat system (and mabey this forging system) in oblivion, it would be THE new elder scrolls! (lets hope it's something like that in skyrim XD)

@Vultar666 thats the thing. open world is really cool. but Oblivion has such shit gameplay. So this game went and did the opposite. Not open world, but with AMAZING gameplay. Thats why i like it better =D

actually to begin with, weapond were made out of bronze because iron was too soft to be used as anything but kitchen knives and such, until the syrians adapted a technique to heat the iron to very high temperatures, and rapidly cool it down to make it stronger than bronze weapons, this was in the time of ancient mesopotamia, which is how the syrrians were able to capture the babylonians

swords were never made by casting (unless they are bronze). they were, and are, made by forging. cast iron will shatter like glass when hit. so, cool visuals, but complete nonsense factually/historically.

@Unbeloved1 cast out of what? cast iron is useless for swords. all swords, knives, and cutting tools, until the invention of crucible steel, were made from wrought iron, made by a process of reduction& hammering and NOT by casting at all. cast iron is very brittle, and is only good for big block or kettles, or weights. refining cast iron into steel happened much later, through a large-scale industrial procedure called the bessemer process. only cast bronze was forged.

you can find a flamegold i think bar in the pirate ship right near goblin part its a ladder and a box next to it jump on box and climb to ledge behind it there should be a ring and flamegold bar i dont know for sure cuz ive never tried it

its not a gold sword, you can make Long Sword with the steel bar, and Earthfire sword with the Goldfire bar.

Well, I can tell you that it isn't an easy game, but it will take you about a week to complete it, but the very fun part is that you can choose your own path. Not only being a warrior, ranger or a magician, but also things which affect the story line :)

Know that if you live in the UK, you can't buy it by retail :) Enjoy :P

You can find a gold bar in chapter 3 aswell on the boat there, when you leave the room where the goblins are locked up with 1 necro in it (the necro has the key to the next door) if you climb up the wooden big box(or whatever it is) you can jump on an steel platform, a gold bar and a ring of might are both on it, it's actually precisly in the back of you when you climb the ladder and probably a thing you over see easily

i dont remember wich chapter it is but its after u steal the shadow skull from altir or whatever his name is and then he kills u and takes the skull and then xana revives u and u get her evil powers wich is demon form and then in a chest there is a flamegold bar and u get to the orcs blah blah blah place lol and then theres a forge there and u kill the orc, take the hammer and then do like this guy did to get that sword.. i got all weapons in the game :D and i own in the multiplayer lol, ciao :P

to make swords theres only those 2 silver is the console reference to the dragonclaw sword (holy sword with xtra dmg agaisnt undead) such as mm_arx_silver_sword

The Earthfire bar thing (Don't think it's actually called that, but it makes the earthfire sword) is on the ship near the beginning of the game. When you're going up the ladder to the open area of the boat, it's on a platform behind you. (:
