  • yeah 4:38 my god he must have gone pale

  • At 4:55 u can see the photographer in pink getting told to fuck off lol

  • Italian doctors are always the last to be seen in a race accident I remember '94!

  • 4:38 Whooow , That's So Close....

  • OMG what a Horrific accident....but first let´s see what happen at the Pit-Stop...*lol*

  • He looked at the replay the next day and was like, holly shit that thing almost killed me.

  • one of the commentators sounds like he's smoking a doob

  • If my name was Allan McNish, I would shit my self in this situation ;)

  • 4:07 "this looks like its a repray" they make Jonathan Legard sound good.

  • Lucky he didn't hit McNish's Audi...would have been far worse.

  • @tompa666 matter of fact, he only suffered a broken ankle!

  • @2t9j0bowler300 ok fine .

  • @FormulaOneSpy right, a broken ankle, but nothing else, amazing

  • I think he just got some air underneath the car and like Dumbreck in Le Mans 99 he catapulted into the air and narrowly missed the crazy Scot, Allan McNish

  • wow, lousy rescue, lousy announcers

  • Damn the doctors took forever to get to the scene. That's unbelievable to see something now a days. And also these are the worst commentators ever, not knowledgeable, and have no clue what they are talking about.

  • "on youtube before you can blink"

    ...hmm...

  • @rioross and he was right...

  • WOW !

What would happend if he hit the audi with that speed?! i dont think it would look so nice...

  • God saved the driver of the audi. Man!!!!!!!!!! it barely missed his driver's side. Just 6 ft and the car would have hit him dead on and most likely killed him.

  • Comment removed

  • Those commentators are fuckin HORRIFIC.

  • they can't Identify the car. Its clearly is the Courage-Oreca Matmut.

  • the helmets the cea guys are wearing remind me of the movie flash gordon.

  • No catch fence could have ever stopped that Rear tire!...it must have reached 50 feet and then disappeared into the woods!...scary!

  • looks like he just locked the brakes up

  • Brakes were not at fault here. It was later deemed to have been either a suspension failure or a wing failure that caused the crash.

  • wow, only the cage left:S

  • Suspension failure / Flat back tire. The wing seems fine. Possible downshift at high Rpm at the wrong time before the chicane could cause this also.

  • what i love on the peugeott is that sweet hood part but i don't like the look of the peugeott it self i like the audi better but what i love now is the audi r-15 but unfortunately they lost the lemans 24.

  • Really Bad crash, Watch from 4.35.Nearly takes the head off of the Audi driver.Anyway Stephane Ortelli and the Audi driver are lucky to be alive.

  • GOO PPPEEEUUGEEOOOTTT, they just win le mans 09, with 2 first places :)

  • yup..i've watched all the 24 h with 3 h of sleep and a lot of popcorn and juice :P ..it was cool!!

  • thanks for sharing this video

  • Who let Deputy Dawg commentate?

  • These commentators are terrible.

  • jeez. at 4:37 he nearly decapitated that audi

  • christ!

  • Poor fella hurt his ankle and he was probably really shaken up :\

  • Who is this second commentator - "Chris"? Someone needs to tell him to not spit all over his fucking mike. Stupid cunt.

  • And the comments quickly turn into a NASCAR hatefest. I like all racing....I don't have my nose in the air thinking one form is better than the other.....I will admit that since the COT has come it is quite boring.....exept for the restrictor plate tracks.

  • motorstv. come to america. there is a market. speed tv (formally speedvision) is now all NASCAR all the time. i love ACO racing but you never saw this on U.S. tv. (i voted for it on the speed performace awards)

  • I totally agree, what exactly has NASCAR done for auto technology advancement in the last 25years, hardly anything, this is where its at, Nascar was good stuff until the 80s then they just stayed the same. nascar makes all the money though, so its too bad. I was at Road America for the ALMS the last 5 years, great racing.

  • NASCAR can be narrated into few phrases:

    Left Turn

    Pit Stop

    Minor Crash

    SUCK!

  • If they'd ditch the Pimp my Ride and Wrecked "shows". Then they'd have room to get Euro LMS (and DTM and V8, etc. etc.)

But apparently they're trying to turn Speed into an FX-2 channel. So whos knows why Newscorp wants to abandon a perfectly good segment of the audience.

  • motorstv...and eurosport

  • canada ontario, all we have a "speed" its bunch of nonsense i want to watch racing not cars that look the same race in an oval! like ye going 200 mph is sweet but there are other race series in the us other than NASCAR. hell id watch the japanese show "best motoring" all day over nascar

  • harsh!

  • Orz nearly touch with the Audi

  • "You'll be on youtube before you can blink i'll tell you now"

Too true, but nasty accident. Glad it wasn't more serious and looking forward to LMS racing again in a week's time

  • he only had an broken enkel ;) i heard it just a moment ago in the le man 08

  • if this crash happens during 1960's-1980's the driver would be dead by now..

    very lucky!!

  • Man Audi took LeMans, the LMS title, Petit LeMans... I think Peugoet gets an EPIC FAIL for this year.

  • audis really do kill man i have to give it to them they are the best, AUDI/VW baby

  • Which is kind of a shame for Peugoet. They looked a lot better than they did the previous year.

  • Medical team needs a faster vehicle, that took too long. Ortelli, McNish, and f1's Kovelienen are all lucky to be alive. Close calls lately. Thank god for their safety.

  • 2:14 is that some random guy stealing the wrecked diffuser? Doesn't look like a course marshall.

Also the coverage is terrible. Pitlane, cut to 2 seconds of a huge crash, cut back to pitlane. wtf?

  • I don't know but might be this: after Senna's accident in F1 it has become a habit not to show the car/driver after serous looking crash.

  • Possibly. Think it was last year when David Reutimann had a bad accident in NASCAR and the TV coverage showed him slumped over(he had an on-board camera). They cut right back to the scene outside...he turned out to be okay except for a bruised ankle, I believe. But I think the people that cover live racing know better to begin with.

  • Okay I know the broadcasters have to be sensitive, but it really annoys me when there is a huge accident and then it cuts away leaving you wondering what's actually going on and if the driver is ok.

Also the commentators are rubbish. They don't even have a spotters guide and it takes them 3 minutes to identify the car and driver involved.

  • that's a bit unfair considering that if the accident's at the other side of the track, all they've got to go on is the same stuff you have- driver number or possibly the colour of their helmet. 3 minutes is probably a bit long, i agree, but they're human

  • Thats very unfair, mind you at the time I had a fair idea it was Ortelli cos I know the helmet but even then I wasn't certain. but from the view they had there was very little to indentify the car. the last thing you want to do in a huge accident like this is misidentify the driver remember family and friends are watching.

  • I'd like to see you try and identify that mangled car.

  • I don't really follow LMS closely but how many cars have a red/yellow roll hoop?

  • Its MotorsTV, there coverage is always poor lol

  • @deltree Seems he started dropping the parts just at the end, looks alil suspicious with those clothes on agreeed

  • They mentioned "they'll be on YouTube before you can blink..." at the end - that's great to say the videos are here; even Motors TV have their own "condensed" recorded version of the crash...

  • how did he miss the audi

amazing it is on youtube already

  • Add some wings and you've got a nice take off.

  • That's orrible crash...the Audi driver was very lucky...

  • LMAO, "It'll be on YouTube before you can blink" LOL!

  • ROFLMAO So True!!!

  • He almost hit the other can when flying over the Rettifillo chicane. It is amazing that he only broke his ankle. 10 years ago he would have been dead.

  • The guy in the other car was Allan McNish
