Russians never wore costumes like that, they are more of Western Ukranian decent, mixed in with Moldovan(the designs and the colors used) and also the cut of the costume is very different form the Russian balahon, these are more fit, which was traditionally worn by Kazaks, and Ukraninans, Modlovans, And Romanians

These costumes are worn in Bucovina. It has nothing to do with russian costumes

Excellent video to display the variety and beauty of UKRAINIAN art,not Russian, which represents another culture and country and is often mistaken for all that Ukraine has to offer.

Those folk costumes look so un-moldovan! They look like a paiazza, like an all-Russian dominion wardrobe.

ok, I will try to explain that for ya... 1. The ukrainian singer Sofia Rotaru (by the way) is Moldovian or Romanian by origin (and you can find here so many her songs in Romanian). 2. The song "Teche Voda" , which is mean "The Water Flows" always associates with Western Ukraine, Karpatian Mountains and "Zakarpattia" - the area "after" (and also "before") Karpatian Mountains, where the costumes are what you can see at the Video. 4. And we are not talking about Russians here :-)
