  • Just asking....what volts do you recommend ive got one of those ones that you plug into the wall and that goes up to 24V

i need it for my hands and feet

So far ive been doing 12 on my hands and 15 on my feet

One day i forgot to adjust the notch and i think it was 24 volts on my hands i cant really remember but that was the day it started itching hahahah oops... :/

yeah so what voltages does everyone recommend?

  • hey! its my 2nd day doing this...IS IT MEANT TO MAKE MY HANDS KINDA ITCHY AFTERWARDS? im scared its gonna escalate in a week or two and its going to end up hurting......

  • @hanahisbabo Hi there, iontophoresis can do that, yes. You can try applying a little vaseline to your hands where the water-line is when you put your hands into the water. You can also try using bottled water instead of tap water. Good luck!

  • @ilovemuchalls thankyou! i realised i was doing it a bit high on my hands :) oopss hahahh

  • can i use this on my face???

  • @MrGrownMan8819 No, but you can buy iontophoresis machines that will treat your face. If you want to message me via the forum I can help point you in the right direction. I can't post links on here.

  • Hi, thanks for posting this video! Question: how were you able to use the alligator clips with the AC-DC adapter? Usually, they have a barrel plug, right? I don't know much about electricity, but if you could shed some light, I'd appreciate it!

  • @neocarpetbagger Hello - you're welcome! I'm afraid I don't know anything about electricity myself. I think the best thing to do is to find an electrician's/diy forum (shouldn't be too difficult!) in your country - they'll give you the best advice. Not much point asking me, ask me anything you like about computers but I get through a kettle every six months for some reason! I'm sure it'll be a nice easy one for someone who knows what they're doing.

  • @VerySweatyBetty Cool, thanks =)

  • small question : i do it once and i dont get sweaty again or i do it every day?

  • @Colville1997 Hi there, I've got some instructions but there's quite a lot to it - not so much what you do but how to get the most of if. I tried c&p the info into this box but there's nowhere near enough room. Can you go to the website on the video title, click on 'forum' and contact Beverly (admin). We'll make sure you have the full instructions and any other help you may need. As the forum is closed, you will need to register - but it keeps people feeling safe :)

  • @Colville1997 Hi there, sorry it's taken a while to reply, I didn't get a notification this time. If you come over to the forum I'll be able to send you a factsheet - it tells you how to use the Iontophoresis and get the best out of it.

  • thanks man! i just bought all these components and i just did this for my first time. and one more question, how long will it take to actually notice something cuz after the 1st time i noticed it for a little bit but then they started sweating. thankyou.

  • hey sorry for asking but whats the little cube thing thats 12 volts?? and where could i get one? thank you so much im sick of my hands.

  • @MrMx825 Hi there, it's a battery - maybe try your hardware store? I hope it works for you - it's a really effective treatment :)

  • it says 12 volt right ?

  • o___o this is going to be like my first time doing this but what Voltage or battery thing should i get first before trying something stronger?

  • @YummyPie532 Hi there - good luck with your make! I would strongly suggest following the exact instructions, I wouldn't recommend trying any other source of power other than what is mentioned in the video - it could easily be dangerous as combining water with electric can be lethal. The battery mentioned will be fine. If you find after 4-6 weeks that it doesn't work, please register on our forum as someone will be able to help you.

  • @VerySweatyBetty could i use a dc gama car recharger as a power source because it also has 12v and 2/6amps which i don't know what does that does... if you know can you tell me?

  • @YummyPie532 Hi there, I'm afraid that's gone right over my head! I'm sure you will be able to find an electrical forum online whose members would easily be able to advise you on that, I wouldn't be able to even begin to hazard a guess. Sorry about that, it's well worth finding the answer though, this is a really effective treatment :)

  • Hi. i didn't hear what he said in the video very. what kind of battery is that again please ?

  • hi! can you recommend this to a child? because i notice that my 5 year old child is starting to have a sweaty hands and feet. i'm afraid she might suffer a lot if i don't give attention to it soon. please help. thank you!

  • @glitters36 Hello! I'm sorry to hear your child is suffering. The 1st thing to do is see your dr for a referral to a dermatologist. Hyperhidrosis can be a symptom of something else, rather than being a disease in isolation. Arm yourself with questions before appointments. We've lots of info on our forum, so do pop in for a chat. Once you've got a diagnosis, we can help you with coping strategies & support. We have a pets corner to help little ones, it's run by aspiring vet, Milly (aged 14) :) x

  • @VerySweatyBetty thank you very much for a prompt reply, really appreciate it. but i'm afraid if i can bring her to a dermatologist because here in our country dermatologists' fee are really expensive. do you have any treatments that you can advice for my child? any recommendations? God Bless!

  • @glitters36 Hello again! I'm sorry to hear that. You really need to get a firm diagnosis for your daughter's sweating - has she seen a dr at all? Your dr might be able to prescribe something for her. Alternatively, you might be able to seek better advice from a chemist/pharmacist as your child is so young. Please contact me privately through our forum at verysweatybetty I may be able to put you in touch with a company that might help. Please see a dr for a diagnosis and we can go from there :)

  • @djandreal Thank you for your accusation. We have already credited the video to the owner and not once claimed ownership. We are NOT using it to advertise our website, we are using it to help thousands of people who already use our website. By adding it to our channel, it keeps all related videos in the same place and easy to find. Unless you object to our free website helping people with a serious skin disease, we politely request you take your internet policing somewhere it's actually needed.

  • @VerySweatBetty hey there can you please give me a complete list of the materials on that video (i mean the exact name of the materials) thanks :)

  • @TheRoseGun Hi there, I'm afraid I don't have a list. You could make a list while watching the video. I think they're mainly bits and pieces that are generally laying around in most homes :)

  • I started doing this three days ago. On the first day I felt a strong electric/ tingling sensation in my hands when I placed it in the water. The last two times I tried it I cannot feel that sensation anymore. My batteries are resgistering 18V. I haven't seen a reduction in my sweat at all. Is this normal?

  • @madukamj2003 Hi there. It's quite common to get the tingling sensation. So long as your batteries are working and everything is connected and working fine then I can't see there being any problem. You might be one of the lucky people, not everyone can tolerate it. It will take a good month or so before you see any real results but stick with it, it's effective in 98% of sufferers. I've not tried this but you can always chat to our forum members who've tried iontophoresis as a treatment :)

  • @VerySweatyBetty that's shannobowling vid..i hope u asked for permission at least..not claiming this vid as urs doesnt mean u can steal other ppl's vids..u're clearly using it to promote ur website.. cheap move.

  • I have been doing this for 4 days every day for 30 minutes and I haven't really noticed a difference, but I still believe it will work with more time.

  • @jma3234 You won't be noticing any difference for a while yet - try doing this for 15 minutes each hand, every other day for a month or until your sweating subsides. Once your sweating has stopped, twice a week for maintenance should be fine. You are the best judge of what works for you but it's all trial and error until you've got the right strategy for your sweating. There are additional things you can try if it's not working well but give it a month before you start worrying. Good luck :)

  • Should my whole hands be in the water even the tops or just the palms?

  • @jma3234 Hello - just the bits that sweat :) If you sweat between your fingers, make sure the water line is high enough to immerse your hands up to that line. Good luck, let us know how you get on! x

  • Comment removed

  • @biyayan Boiling the water will help remove impurities that you may be getting an adverse reaction to. Some people experience a reaction along the waterline - if that happens, smear some vaseline/petroleum jelly on the areas that are affected. Don't use it below the waterline, it will make all this a waste of time!

Iontophoresis works for over 90% of people, or so I'm lead to believe. It just takes time! Please visit the forum where you can chat to other users.

Hang in there and good luck!

  • can u please tell me the name of the battery that ure using ..

  • @i12bplaya The brand doesn't matter - it's the voltage you need to get right :)

  • @VerySweatyBetty

Thx for ur reply, its a tap water from the sink, i read some side effects of it. and i noticed that it cause itchyness so i thought its normal, for how many session do i need before i get the result? i already did 6 session with 18 volts batteries and still fish can swim through my palms. lol .

  • @biyayan It's likelythere's a particular chemical in your tap water that is creating the sensitivity - I would recommend changing to bottled water or even try water that's been boiled and allowed to cool right down. Both of these water methods should be easier for your skin to contend with. If not, then it's probably time to rethink your strategy as your hands might just be a bit too sensitive. I'd try 10 mins per hand every other day for 4-6 weeks or until you see benefit - then use as needed.

  • i have AC current running thru my house..will it work?

  • @neckroopimp You mean plugging this into the mains instead of using the correct voltage of battery? With water? NO!!! Don't even think about it!!! Water, electricity and people do not mix!

  • no i didnt mean tht bt nevermind..plz luk at the rest of my comments

  • @neckroopimp Was there anything else in specific you need answered? Please send me a PM via the website (verysweatybetty com) and we can discuss it further as we're limited to characters on here. You can PM either me or Anne - she's my partner x

  • @VerySweatyBetty haha..my other comments are on ur other video with the batteries

  • @VerySweatyBetty the rest of my comments are on the other video like this one

  • i developed hives and rashes after 3 sessions. suggestion any1?? ammm. is it normal to sweat more after the first few sessions? thanxxxx

  • @biyayan Hiya - it sounds like you've had an allergic reaction - where did you source your water from? Have you tried bottled water?

  • What about armpits?

  • @nativsun We have lots of recommendations for you on our website, all the products we trial are blogged about so you know exactly what to expect and what might be the best products for you to try. Please send me a PM on the forum if you need any help and I'll talk you through all your options - Beverly

  • Good information, thanks for posting.

The above comment about deodorant is out of ignorance. What I have found is that there is no antiperspirant which works to control hyperhidrosis -- it is not normal sweating. I use a regular deodorant, however. No deodorant/anti-perspirant is good to use on your hands as you can rub it into your eyes when you sleep.

  • @courag1 That's why you wear gloves when you have gels/antiperspirants on.

  • Good information, thanks for posting. I'd imagine that it could be modified for your feet as well.

  • ok guys try this take some deoderent and put it on your hand

  • @achievementSTriker Deodorant? Why? There's no such thing as Palmar Bromhidrosis. Unless you mean antiperspirant? If so, have you tried it for your Hyperhidrosis? Did it help, and which brand did you use? That is - if you do have Hyperhidrosis and aren't just trying to be facetious? If so, do you really think that nobody has thought of - or tried - to use, every product under the sun?

  • how many milliamps?

  • have been suffering from hyperhidrosis for many yrs. will try this procedure n thank u very very, very much.........

  • @ritaa251 Hi Rita - one of our forum members has had lots of success with this, his blog about it is on our website - verysweatybetty com - don't forget to add the full stops/periods - YouTube don't allow you to link in the messages x

  • @VerySweatyBetty please advise how many sessions in a month ? and for how many months ??

  • @arshadwm Try starting off with twice a week - 20 minutes is enough. If you're not finding any relief, increase to three times a week - and so on. Once you've found your sweating has subsided, you only need to use the machine for maintenance - just experiment until you hit on the right level of treatment for you. You only need tap water so there's no drugs to worry about. Good luck and let us know how you get on!

  • @VerySweatyBetty i used tap water initially but after few days it started giving me light electric shocks, which was painful, so i have started using mineral water with less salt which is quite easy to handle and results are almost same...Few Question ? is this a permanant solution ? will this hit or affect any organ..i shared this technic with my Physician, who said that its very safe or even it would treat your weak organs too. Is it true ??

  • @arshadwm Tap water often has additives - for instance in the UK, our water is treated with fluoride. Mineral water is great - if that's what you can tolerate then go with it. Eventually you will be able to manage on using this once or twice a week. There's no permanent cure. Your physician really will know more about this than me, although these devices have been used for many decades. The body contains electrical impulses naturally so it's nothing that we're not used to.

  • @ritaa251 You will be amazed with results...once you start getting desired results, you would be needing moisturing cream :)

  • Isnt this shannonbowling video???

    not verysweatybetty....

  • @PianoGirl555 We never claimed to own it PianoGirl, we just added it to our account so people could find it easier when looking at our own videos. Good spot though.

  • @VerySweatyBetty oh ok...

    thanks.. =)

hope people all around the world will cure themselfs with iontophoresis from this terrible thing called HH..

  • @PianoGirl555 I agree completely. That's why we're doing all of this - I've had it all my life (I'm 43) but didn't know it had a name or that anyone else suffered from it until three years ago. We want to reach out and help people no matter where they are in their journey with this :)

  • Excellent Results...but a message for all of you beside this treatment, please have Lipid Profile checked through a nearest reliable lab. If its too high it can also be cause. Combine the treatment and you will definitely see good results..

  • with the adapter that you use what are you cutting and how do the clips connect to the adapter??

  • @vacca23 I didn't make the video vacca - someone on our forum has made this device and it works fine - if you want to ask them about the making of it, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to answer all your queries :)

  • @vacca23 I've just remembered - youtube.com/user/kbkb248 has followed this video too, why not message him? :)

  • @vacca23 use alligator clips can easily be attached to the wires with a plier

  • man it's been 1 week since I use lontophoresis machine. And my hands and feet almost 100% dry. Couple of weeks more my hands and feet will be 100% dry.

  • @kbkb248 That's brilliant, I'm really happy for you! Please come to verysweatybetty, if you get a spare few minutes, I'm sure you could help lots of people!

  • when I put my hands in feet in lontophoresis is so ichy....

  • @kbkb248 I have heard that! The tingling feeling won't be forever :)

  • @VerySweatyBetty nopes...few hours

  • @kbkb248 use less salt water with 18 volts adapter

  • @kbkb248 use less salt water..but there must be tingling sometimes worse but results are good...secondly check if there is any cut or burn on your hand or feet will make it worse.

  • man... i just make the lontophoresis machine and it works perfecty.. VerySweatyBetty can I use 18 volts on my hand and 27 volts on my foot..?

  • @kbkb248 I'm really pleased it's working for you! That's fantastic! I really wouldn't increase the voltage, just give it a bit of time. The effects of this will build up and you won't have to do it every day. Please pop over to our forums to speak to other members about this, you could really help people - and get some more ideas for yourself, too :)

  • @kbkb248 use nomal AC DC adapter for both hand and feet...at a time...water should less saltish...results will be amazing..starting 3 sessions a week then 2 and then 1 in 10 days is more then enough

  • why do need we to reverse the polerety..?

  • @kbkb248 I'm not sure of the technical reasons but it makes it more effective :)

  • does it hurt when you put your hands in the water..please reply.

  • @kbkb248 From what I understand, I don't think it does. It might tingle a bit though? There are quite a few people on our forum who have used iontophoresis machines and they'll be able to answer all your questions.

  • @kbkb248 no until you have saltish water

  • @PianoGirl555 I've not got enough sweating on my hands to need this - there are members on our site who swear by Iontophoresis though, it might help you to discuss it with people who have tried it :)

The eBook you mention, I advise strongly against it, it's lots of money for stuff that you can fit into one page. We tried his 'method' on VerySweatyBetty forums and it categorically did not work. If you want to know the method, by all means contact admin on our forum and we'll talk you through it.

  • verysweatybetty, have you had a sweaty hands problem and if so, have you tried this mathod??

    did it work???

    Im planning on doing this..

    anything else important to know?

  • @PianoGirl555 its really works...will change the life pattern..no more sweat but be careful when you pour water in the plates should be less salt..else you might get electric shock

  • @arshadwm hehe it does work..my life has changed :) for the better :))

but I dont add salt or baking soda no more.. It does work really good even without that..

  • @PianoGirl555 yes no need to add

  • Did you learn this from the book "Cure my sweaty hands" ? How did you discover this method?

  • @dontstopthemusic7 I have to say I don't know where the idea of Iontophoresis machines came from but I don't think they were from that ebook! We found the video online and added it to our account so the members of our forum could try it for themselves if they wished. Iontophoresis machines are extremely expensive, especially if you don't know whether it'll work for you - and it's almost impossible to find one for sale.

  • @dontstopthemusic7 is that book your talking about from andy goodman??

    do you have the ebook???

    pleaseee reply
