Superbly appropriate for October in general and Hallowe'en in particular: kind of stark, cold, eerie beauty that evokes the rising of a (full) moon at that time of the year and the mood it creates.
This is the most amazing piano playing ive seen and heard in a long time:D I could listen to your compositions over and over and not get bored:) Unfortunately my family gets mad when i play the same songs over and over:(
I hope i can be as good a player as you one day:)
Nice composing! I truly are impressed! BUT, you could work on your peformance, get more "feelings" into the playing. Its the same speed and volume.. But im going down to the piano right away and going to play it!
I have to thank you dude, I played this song along with Valse Op64 No1 for my my piano recital, everyone loved it. I been trying to play as good as you but I've only been playing for 2 years so my hands aren''t as used to this type of song using so much octaves. I always mess up at 2:08 those 2 notes always get me. THANK YOU SOOOOO much, it was the best $1.99 I invseted in, well actually my mom did
i luvv this song sooo much! :D in fact i purchased the music sheet of it and i was wondering if you changed the song up a bit when you were playing it in this video because it sounded different than the one on the music sheet
I'm either in a tavern in the old west watching a horrific duel occur or I'm in an old fashioned black and white movie theater watching a movie about just that!
wonderful... I'm over whelmed.. I started to learn how to play (well teaching my self) and i really don't think i can even get a fraction of your skill.. I'm amazed this is so wonderful.
I feel Truly Inspired, I have plyed alot of piano, just learning to read sheet music though, and this is a piece i think ill have a go at.... maybe a little slower though.
that is the most beautiful thing i have heard in i can't even remember how long! i listen to completely different type of music but i sat staring like dumbfounded the hole time! absolutely amazing!!!
@ilytaty Hi where did you buy the sheets from? I cannot seem to find the link/actual site anywhere? Could you send me a message with it or soemthing? Thank you very much
this song is awesome. i am now working on this and your black star. black star is my favorite song i can now play on piano. thanks for selling the sheets these are awesome songs!
the only thing i dont like about this song..... is the fact that i cant turn it up REALLY loud or else it'll start sounding scratchy thru my speakers =/ fml
this is really good! would you mind if i used it in my piano GCSE presentation as an example of modern classical piano? Very passionate and amazing :) x

You'd be in "gifted"

I love your music and I'm sure the same can be said for hundreds, possibly thousands, of others. Be aware not everyone can be pleased, but also be aware that you've come pretty much as close as anyone could to pleasing the entire crowd. Keep writing!
@Noydeuh that's a good suggestion. I'll definitely look into recording some of my compositions in a higher quality studio version. and thank you for your compliments =)
@musicalbasics the highest quality you can get from a piano is to buy an expensive microphone and audio card for you're pc. Or you could go the "cheaper" way and get a blue snowball..
While maybe he stated it somewhat rudely, I can understand where ktm was coming from. He was honestly correct about his claim in my opinion. I wouldn't really classify this piece as "classical," it sounded more like videogame music. Sure, it sounded "cool and catchy" like most modern music, but it lacks originality, structure, and transformation. Either way, if it had all of those things, it likely wouldn't appeal to mainstream.
I'm going down the road to becoming a manga-ka and if my books ever get famous enough to become anime i would totally ask you to compose music for my anime! no jokes, your music is wonderful!!!!

Really great work - I jst wonder, is there any chance to get "better" quality somewhere, somehow? The youtube is... well, far from how things really sound like.
I love all you're music. I might listen it maybe everyday! Please don't stop making this beautiful music cause I'm sure lots of people love it like me^^
If true beauty needed a storyline, it would be very expected. If he can defy your "rules of music" (which to me sounds kind of oxy-moron-is), and still make his music sound beautiful, I think you should burn your little law book.
@fiyrdragon5 I'm not sure what you're talking about. When did I say it needed a storyline? All I said was that it was dreadfully boring. Reminds me of someone just recently learning piano and learning that when you fool around repeatedly in one scale, it sounds kinda cool. There's no sadness, or anger because it just repeats and repeats and repeats. When a song does that, it makes itself seem mechanical. But I do see how it could seem "cool" to many for its distinct melodramatic feel.
Climax and progressing? I do beleive that it means a certain line must be followed like a story. And I have heard plenty of songs that are very popular and repeat. It's called having a theme. Look at some of Joe Hisaishi's songs.
@fiyrdragon5 All i'm saying is that this song is repeatedly using--no, ATTACKING the SAME SCALE throughout the whole song. At least in good songs that repeat, different modes and tones and emotions are explored, but not in this one. Come to think of it, there are MANY like it on youtube. Beginning pianists who make horrible songs like this and get over a 1000 views in like a day, because no one's heard anything better or takes the time to. Look up Claude Debussy. That is real piano music.
@ktm64 Okay, well us "ameature music listeners", as you are implying, enjoy it. Is that not what composers want? Just because you've got a maggot in your mouth doesn't mean we have one in our ears. We can hear plenty well and know what we like. That's the straight truth, whether or not it follows what you beleive. Now, I hope you go deaf sometime soon because you're going to live a life of misery when him and other "horrible" composers become the new generation of music makers.
@fiyrdragon5 Seeing how the world of music has been going recently, I most likely will be living a life of misery. And apparently you're not only amateur music listener, but an "ameature speller" as well.
@ktm64 You do know that this topic is about the song, right? The only reason I can think you would even mention that is that I posed a good argument, and you can't counter it. I have dyslexia, but I can tell you have much bigger problems.
@fiyrdragon5 Dude, I already finished with this argument. I will live a life of misery. Reiterating will probably not help you understand anyways, seeing as you've just admitted that you're mentally challenged. And as for your dyslexia, I couldn't give two shits, because you're right, it has nothing to do with this argument; but i digress. The point is, I gave my polite and backed up opinion on some music, and you rudely replied, thus invoking my rude retort. This really is your fault. Ameature.
@ktm64 Well, feel free not to reply to this, but really: dyslexia has nothing to do with mental sanity. I study psychology, and dyslexia has nothing to do with being mentally challenged.
"This is really your fault"? Eh, whatever. You're the one who decided to spend your time attacking something you didn't like. I spent my time defending something I loved. Personally, I think I'm a little more justified to argue.
Anyway, if you don't like it, don't listen to it or waste your time on it. Amen.
@fiyrdragon5 I'm just going to take your word on that you study psychology. Considering a commenter on youtube is so trustworthy...nvm. To the point. I don't listen to his music. I browsed it, heard it once, thought it sucked and commented. And I will "waste" plenty of time on bettering the musical community. Btw, don't put words in my mouth. I said you were "mentally challenged" which is true no matter which you misconstrue it. I never attacked your "mental sanity." Two different things buddy.
@ktm64 Dude, you aren't "bettering the musical community". You're putting one composer down multiple times with pathetic excuses you call "critiques". If you're going to give advice, at least make it worthwhile for the composer.
@fiyrdragon5 Perhaps it is futile for me to try and explain why I do what I do. I never said the words "I want to help him." Fuck that. I merely tried to throw in a little honesty into the increasingly sad musical community that we live in. None of what you're saying actually matters, nor will it change my opinion. If you were really a student of psychology, you would've known that of all human nature, one of the most basic is the inability to change others. Wait for people to do it themselves.
@fiyrdragon5 As my last comment would've been to long, what I'm trying to say is--for lack of better terminology--what you said to me didn't change anything except for maybe a small part in your little dyslexia-infected brain-world. Thank you for your time, as I will not be responding to any more of your dribble. You persistent, musically bastardized imbecile.
Your playing just leaves me in awe!

Don't listen to the guys critical of this. Obviously, they've never had any sense of rhythm.
You should get the recorded in a good studio. I want this on my iPod. You'd at least make some money off of me =)

No climax. No suspension. All resolution. Very repetitive. Absolutely, dreadfully boring. Thumbs down me now, if you will.

If true beauty needed a storyline, it would be very expected. If he can defy your "rules of music" (which to me sounds kind of oxy-moron-is), and still make his music sound beautiful, I think you should burn your little law book.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 I'm not sure what you're talking about. When did I say it needed a storyline? All I said was that it was dreadfully boring. Reminds me of someone just recently learning piano and learning that when you fool around repeatedly in one scale, it sounds kinda cool. There's no sadness, or anger because it just repeats and repeats and repeats. When a song does that, it makes itself seem mechanical. But I do see how it could seem "cool" to many for its distinct melodramatic feel.

@ktm64
Climax and progressing? I do beleive that it means a certain line must be followed like a story. And I have heard plenty of songs that are very popular and repeat. It's called having a theme. Look at some of Joe Hisaishi's songs.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago

Now, I hope you go deaf sometime soon because you're going to live a life of misery when him and other "horrible" composers become the new generation of music makers.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 Seeing how the world of music has been going recently, I most likely will be living a life of misery. And apparently you're not only amateur music listener, but an "ameature speller" as well.
ktm64 1 year ago
@ktm64 You do know that this topic is about the song, right? The only reason I can think you would even mention that is that I posed a good argument, and you can't counter it. I have dyslexia, but I can tell you have much bigger problems.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 Dude, I already finished with this argument. I will live a life of misery. Reiterating will probably not help you understand anyways, seeing as you've just admitted that you're mentally challenged. And as for your dyslexia, I couldn't give two shits, because you're right, it has nothing to do with this argument; but i digress. The point is, I gave my polite and backed up opinion on some music, and you rudely replied, thus invoking my rude retort. This really is your fault. Ameature.
ktm64 1 year ago
@ktm64 Well, feel free not to reply to this, but really: dyslexia has nothing to do with mental sanity. I study psychology, and dyslexia has nothing to do with being mentally challenged.
"This is really your fault"? Eh, whatever. You're the one who decided to spend your time attacking something you didn't like. I spent my time defending something I loved. Personally, I think I'm a little more justified to argue.
Anyway, if you don't like it, don't listen to it or waste your time on it. Amen.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 I'm just going to take your word on that you study psychology. Considering a commenter on youtube is so trustworthy...nvm. To the point. I don't listen to his music. I browsed it, heard it once, thought it sucked and commented. And I will "waste" plenty of time on bettering the musical community. Btw, don't put words in my mouth. I said you were "mentally challenged" which is true no matter which you misconstrue it. I never attacked your "mental sanity." Two different things buddy.
ktm64 1 year ago
@ktm64 Dude, you aren't "bettering the musical community". You're putting one composer down multiple times with pathetic excuses you call "critiques". If you're going to give advice, at least make it worthwhile for the composer.
fiyrdragon5 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 Perhaps it is futile for me to try and explain why I do what I do. I never said the words "I want to help him." Fuck that. I merely tried to throw in a little honesty into the increasingly sad musical community that we live in. None of what you're saying actually matters, nor will it change my opinion. If you were really a student of psychology, you would've known that of all human nature, one of the most basic is the inability to change others. Wait for people to do it themselves.
ktm64 1 year ago
@fiyrdragon5 As my last comment would've been to long, what I'm trying to say is--for lack of better terminology--what you said to me didn't change anything except for maybe a small part in your little dyslexia-infected brain-world. Thank you for your time, as I will not be responding to any more of your dribble. You persistent, musically bastardized imbecile.
