This drives right by my cottage! What I can't figure out tho' is why doesn't the drive start entering Agey from the other end - you miss the church and the rest of the high st (the prettiest bits) including stippy stappy...
My Aunt and Uncle have just bought the house on the left at 0:30, which was originally owned by my Great-Grandparents - the Osbornes. They have extended it and renamed it Osborne Cottage. Hello Aunty Sue and Uncle Laurence!
Thank's for the info. I lived in the pub in Mithian called "The Miners Arms" for several years from 1947 but never heard of your fathers name. Could you let me know when he lived in Mithian or give me any other information? I have a book with a lot of history and names of people who lived in the village.
I am constantly amazed at the things you can find on YouTube. I lived in a small village called Mithian, about 2 1/2 miles from St Agnes. I cycled to school along this road for about 5 years. This video picks up my journey about 3/4 of the way along. That was during the years 1948-1952. The school, about half way up the hill on the right after turning left at Petersville, has now been turned in flats. I am not sure where the new school is situated. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks. You drove past the house where my family used to stay B&B every year for years. over 30 years ago. Very special memories brought back. Thanks for postin this.
It closed down years ago then an Objective One funded multi-million pound (£5.7m) project to create Cornwall's first film studio was built on the site and it went into administration in 2004. It is just rusting at the moment :-(
I love St Agnes, great video, never seen the Truro side before, great work :-)
