  • i bought a reall nice one in the winter for 2800. gotta do alot of lookin. there are deals out there to be had.

  • Question to all 96 mustang owners I just got a 96 mustang gt convertible I was just wondering if it was normal for the 4.6 to have alot of pinging noises when you get done driveing it cause I have a 95 gt and it will make the pinging noise every once and a while but not as alot as the 96 why is that???

  • sorry meant exhaust

  • yo what kind of mufler you got set up it sounds sick , please be really clear as im a 17 year old noob that doesnt know shit about cars but im get a 1996 mustang gt 4.6 police interceptor next month :D and wan make it sound MEAN!

  • @sinister3556 well i hope you take it easy a mustang gts pretty fast for a new driver

  • @blaqkXelectriqk

I'm 20 years old now, but I had a lot of fun with it when I was in high school.

  • Does anyone know if 2,000-3,000 can buy a decent mustang gt? the 4.6, not the early 5.0?

  • I bought this one for $3700 about two years ago but it was pretty rough. I ended up putting new rims, tires, exhaust, and convertible top cover on it. Then, I sold it less than a year later for $5k and broke even.

  • @ErichMaxheimer its kinda hard to find a nice stang with the v8 for 3,000. but ive seen Cougar xr-7's and the thunderbird lx which both have 4.6's are relatively cheaper, but id still rather have a mustang.

  • @MrBruceBartsch I found my 1996 GT for $2500. Full PI swap, leather, built rear axle w/ 4.10:1 gears, bolt-ons, and full exhaust with long tubes. Has a few small quirks that need fixing and the odometer reads 182,xxx miles. So there are deals out there if you look long enough.

  • @ErichMaxheimer where did u find the convertible top cover? u mean like hardtop cuz i wanna find one for mine

  • @blaqkXelectriqk if u know ppl u can find a hook up or good deal. i got the best deal ever on mine! i only paid my uncle who owns a shop for the money he put out for exhaust. the customer couldnt pay him so he took the title and i paid him for the exhaust. i basically paid for exhaust that came with a car! lol

  • @blaqkXelectriqk I didn't get a hard one. But, I did put a new soft one on because mine was ripping.

  • @ErichMaxheimer shit i would have bought it for 10k depending on the miles

  • @MrBruceBartsch hell yeah i bought mines for 2grand but i had work to do mines came along way. i had bought the car and drop a very strong used motor in it that has out performed pi head mustangs. with 2 grand to 4grand you can get a nice 94-98 GT 96-98 being 4.6 94-95 being 5.0. craigslist is very good on having all mustangs but just never buy till you see it in person.

  • @MrBruceBartsch i just got me a pretty nice one for 3600. the paint isnt the greatest, but there is some motor work done to it. ill get a video of it up eventually.

  • @MrBruceBartsch

Depends where youre located at.. Around Missouri, you can get a running/driving one, wont be the prettiest.. Down south? You could get a nice LX 5.0 5 Speed for around 3K.

  • @RyanShelton63366 Yeah, i live in las vegas. I still wish on getting a mustang 5.0 or 4.6. Its really what i want. But in Vegas? Shit.. it feels impossible.

  • i need the original rims do you have them?

  • Never had them

  • The interior color I'm not crazy about but other than that I'm digging it. It's cleaner than my 98 GT

  • sounds nice and looks nice ...... nice ride bro .

  • pretty Mustang ..

    nice sound

  • i have the same car in white and not convertible. only have cats as well and it sound way better and has a great popping sound

  • what kind of exaust you have?did you get the h pipe

  • @jtrain100179

It was h pipe, no mufflers, only cats

  • @ErichMaxheimer ok im getting a h pipe for mine i got flow masters and was woundering what it would sound like.nice car btw i painted mine vista blue with red decals

  • it's performance improved heads. 96 and 97 modular engines have crappy heads and intakes. this design was improved in 98, i think, to performance improved heads which were a few horsepower better. It is possible to swap the heads

  • nice stang bro. did u do the pi swap yourself of did u buy it with the swap already done?

  • It didn't have the PI swap

  • mustangs ftw!

  • Hi ErichMaxheimer, what kind of headlights do you have, and what color? Was it easy to install?

  • @coolstyle08,

I bought that car with the headlights already like that. I think they were just a blue bulb. I bet it would be pretty simple.

  • make the rear wheels deep dish then it will be more than perfect

    love the car

  • ur lucky u can garage it, ill never be able to put those nice decks in haha! that shits just one slash away from bein gone. great lookin car.

  • i thought they were all black at bottom?! i mean i have a 96 gt black and even the bottom is flat black

  • all you need is some smoked head and tail lights also fog light, then that car would be badass, but it looks great

  • ya you got lucky than, mines just red.

  • no thats really what im getting and thats driving conservatively no flooring it at all. Just did a lot of maitenance work on it so hopefully it will be better; oh i cleaned the MAF and wow what a difference! should really do it if youve got a oil based CAI on there.

and last question: Did you paint that bottom part of the back bumper black or were you just 1 of the lucky ones who has that stock??

  • @09portillo

Oh, I see. It was black when i bought it so im guessing it's stock. i never noticed other cars not having it that way.

  • oh alright thanks for the swift reply. Oh wow 20mpg thats good well ya ur right it doesnt matter when uve got a sports car but in my case a 195rwhp mustang shouldnt get 11mpg lol

  • @09portillo

Is that really what you're getting!! or are you just kidding?

For me, mpg's all depended on the way I drove it.

  • really nice SN95 ive got a 97 GT no vids unfortunately, but was wondering: I thought having no mufflers was bad for gas mileage due to back pressure loss? correct me if im wrong

  • @09portillo

It may have a small effect on gas mileage but I didn't notice. I still had the three cats per pipe on it, so that probably gave back pressure. It got around 20 mpg but gas mileage isn't really the focus when you're driving a sports car anyway.

  • damn that's what a gt suppose to look and sound like

  • your car was in neutral? oh damn, now i remember why i put a short shifter on my 96 haha. nice car bro

  • Thanks for the video of your clean 96 Mustang with no Mufflers, today I had my 96 Gt Mustang mufflers removed. My stang sounds Mean .Thanks again!!

  • Stick shift! Good man

  • Clean ass interior bro! nice!

  • What kinda exhaust you running?

  • @chrsmoore91

I only had cats on it and no mufflers.

  • Rep the npi!

  • like the side stikers

  • Clean opal frost gt vert! Keep immaculate harder to find in that condition!

  • nice and clean

  • this is lame. :p

  • look its my car lol but ures is convertible
