  • I want one!!!!

  • A wise investment. I bet many rich people are eyeing up bunkers these days to turn into luxury bunkers.

  • Im so jealous! lol!

  • Given the disturbing world in which we currently live, this isn't really a bad idea at all. You could probably stack about 5-years worth of canned goods in that massive garage. :D

  • absolutely fantastic re-purposing. I could just enjoy the adventure of scouting out the place, have friends over to work on our cars in the palatial garage, then go tear around the property. yup, i could do that.

  • Before you move to any decommissioned silo you better call Russian and Chinese defense minister to get you of the GPS target list as new peaceful resident.

  • Us Canadians will buy your land and your old silos too store our beer eh!

  • Us economy big flop! Building for 25 million! And selling for 40 million lol haha!

They are weird to live underground! It's like jail! Stupid who ever buys it!

  • @MrYatabtab sell for 40 million? he bought it for 40,000.

  • @MrYatabtab He bought it for $40,000.00 not 40 million. Open your ears!!!

  • @MrYatabtab And that, my friends, is why the US economy is so bad. Thanks for that example, Mryatabtab.

  • @MrYatabtab You notice when they are inside, you can't tell you are underground. Even the interviewers didn't know. Like jail? wow!! educate yourself.

  • @MrYatabtab Are you stupid?

  • @MrYatabtab

You added a few zeros, retard.

If this was anything like jail, I would be out committing as many crimes as possible.

  • @MrYatabtab Built in the 60's for 25 million, has been vacant an unused for many years bought for 40,000 Dumbass. that is forty thousand dollars not forty million. This here is proof that some people should not breed.

  • bob sagat at 4:10

  • why is the U.S.A economy in trouble? selling a 25 million dollar place for 40 000 dolars is why lmao

  • The only loss in investing such a freakin property is that this property was once owned by airforce. no one know when nation will go in crisis again, n if this happen airforce will come again n they will throw him out of his property in less then a minute. choice is ur's folks.....

  • @jeet2318

    so true,

i would buy another house just incase

  • @jeet2318 The U.S. still has nuclear weapons. One would assume that they are storing them somewhere that also has the ability to launch them. Considering that the new owners of those silos would most likely renovate the place, I highly doubt the government would view those places as being ready enough to launch missiles once again.

  • The contaminants that the military left behind -- and not only in the ground water -- make any property they have touched a very, very bad deal. This poor guy can expect some very rare and interesting cancers, no doubt.

  • Did anyone else notice the star of david at 2:43

  • We let the wierdness in.

  • If I had one I would build/buy a hollow/fake replica place it in the silo, and have some sort of system for making large launch sounds, and creating smoke, that way when the new family moves in next door I can scare the shit out of them :P

  • @awsomeking5

had to laugh at that LOLOL

  • @Decopainterandtea its true! maybe get a nuclear alarm and set everything off at midnight, watch the neighbors run out screaming and shitting themselves

  • @awsomeking5

ya maybe say "haha its ok, just joking around"....... :o) seeing if you were paying attention...lol

  • @Decopainterandtea lol I would try but they run off and cant catch them all, 20 minutes later FBI is at my blast doors asking questions lol

  • living the dream

  • i want one of these home

  • I need one of these so bad.

  • 40K?? Why haven't I heard of this before? Wonder what he does for a living? Probably spent 200K getting the place fixed up.

  • was this man on a show in britain sometime?

  • 40K is a steal.

  • I WANT ONE!

  • @tachi203 there are hundreds of them for sail now :)

  • @lukakitanovski but I cant afford one lolololol. but theyre fing epic.

  • hmm if i owned that, massive grow op

  • 40,000 for that? thats not bad lol

  • @tsadrummer Yea, but that was a long time ago haha, now if a silo just like that went for sale it'd probably be a lot more sadly... haha

  • at 6:43 chuck noris

  • A man made a shipping container cellar for $12,000 did the work himself. You got a great deal for a home and a storm shelter.

  • holly fuck id live in one of these, rent it out to fucking ex military guys.

  • vault 101

  • I miss Wierd US. :(

I really wish they'de bring it back.

  • oh my god only 40k

  • 40 ummm a normal house cost like 500

  • 40 thousand? Hot damn I can afford that. Renovating that probably cost hundreds of thousands though.

  • I LOVE living in my missle silo; I just feel so SAFE...But what if the Ruskies in their usual efficient way forgot to take the site off their strike list as being de-commissioned - OOPS!

  • The room you did not see is the "grow room" for "Herbs"

  • Luxury living space?

It's roomy but it doesn't look luxury to me.

  • woow he sure got an invertment..

  • I know were I'm goin when the zombies attack

  • that guy is really really lucky

  • I want to live in a nuclear missile silo!!!.......an active one

  • The room at 5:25 is gut wrenching.

  • hell its a mini vault that guys familys safe.

  • Hl Jonah this thing sucks!- omen-mi-men. IQ Jonah

  • "We're still underground here?" -dude, are you that clueless?

  • @32cricker Seriously, how fucking stupid is he. It's a fucking silo!

  • this is rad

  • that silo cost about 250k now

  • $40k to buy, millions to make livable. Most of the props that are still for sale, the silos are flooded with water 100ft deep or more, good luck with that.

  • @Zoomer30 what about cancer?

  • Pretty cool living underground. But it might be costly to maintained it

  • lucky hippy bastard

  • This is soooo cool !!

  • We laugh at him now but he will still be around when a nuke war starts lol

  • an oxymoron , a hippie lives in a nuke silo .........hmmmm

  • @tomjohnson1974 The spoils of a Cold War!

  • @tomjohnson1974 Green Peace V2

  • @tomjohnson1974 Its not a nuke silo. Its a home now. How is a hippie turning something used for violence into something to sustain life an oxymoron? Thats kinda their thing...

  • @tomjohnson1974 Haha. It is an oxymoron. But what hippie wouldn't want to live in one? It just means that the Nuke Silo wouldn't be used for it's original intended purpose. It would technically be one more step toward peace. haha. Unless a new one has been built in another location.

  • @AMANDAtheAWESOMEone i like the way you thing , good comment .

  • @tomjohnson1974 That isn't an oxymoron, it's just ironic. Just saying :)

  • @tomjohnson1974 peace has won over war ;-)

  • @tomjohnson1974 More like poetic justice: a peaceful man living in a former weapon of mass destruction. Good on him.

  • @tomjohnson1974 Have you ever met this man? Because he declares himself a peacemaker doesn't make him a hippie. Seems you're going more on appearance than anything, which is wrong. Like me saying to you... "It's not the jeans that make you look fat, it's the fact that I have vision." I've never met you, so not really fair to judge. What's your contribution to society?

  • 40,000 bucks for such a badass home?

I'd take it if it wasn't 100,000 miles from everything.

  • first thing that comes to mind would be radiation problems?

  • It would be an awesome place for your own fantasy factory or skate den lol

  • Haha I want to go inside a missle silo now I've seen a minuteman2 silo never been inside of one though only the seperate launch facility

  • well it would be a great nuke shelter

  • for $40,000 I would be worried about contaminants being left around.

  • If I owned one of these depending on what state it was located in. I would find out from the Fallout lore what vaults were in that area and name it after one of those vaults.

  • DUCK UNDER THE TABLES!! that will protect us from the nuke!

  • i thought from the title of the vid that this guy might be strange, but he is actually pretty cool.

  • Fail. The Atlas E ICBM carried a W38 nuclear warhead that had a 3.75-megaton yield. That's over 104 times more powerful than than both Little Boy and Fat Man combined.

  • @nukewarfare2 Most of the Nuclear Warheads on The U.S. ICBM's And SLBM's now days are in the 175kt-500kt range for each MIRV .. But alot of the Russians ICBM's Warheads are 550k-750kt, But Russia Still Maintains A Good Number of R-36 ICBM's which carry a single 18-25mt warhead...

  • @theapocolyptic Yeah, the SS-18 Mod-1s. Purposed for the destruction of NORAD and other hardened targets. I wish the U.S. still had post-Cold War (1990s) arsenal for our ballistic missile warheads. According to NRDC, we had 2,000 W78/W87s for our Minuteman IIIs and Peacekeepers. And now it's down to 500. It's not like I'm a war-monger, but my philosophy has been if we're going to have nuclear weapons, we might as well have enough to do the job right.

  • @nukewarfare2 Let me ask you this.. Do you think the government is really going to tell you Exactly how many nuclear weapons the U.S. Holds.. Of Course Not.. They just tell us "a" number to let the people know we have them and to make the citizens feel safer in some sort of way... Just like area 51... the government probly wont tell us anything about it in the near future.. Because its there secret.. also we might keep the weapons actual count hidden from other countries because we want to

  • @nukewarfare2 want to have more than they do.. its like this... We tell russia we have 5000 nuclear weapons.. they might build make it to where they have 6000 so they have more power or whatever... but actually we have 9500 nuclear weapons and they dont even know about it.. so they "think" they have more but they actually don't and it makes us feel safer... But this works both ways... If I were to make a skilled military guess. I would say america has 9500 nuclear weapons and russia 7500..

  • @nukewarfare2 And all these treaties.. like SALT and START.. Its all a show just to make it look like were "really" worried about the devestation of nuclear weapons and other causes they "made" the treaties for.. America must remain the # 1 super power in the world.. At least in the publics eye.. So thats why we can't get rid of nuclear weapons as that damn socialist president we have he'll be the one that gets rid of em.. But hopefully the republicans will get majority of the house & congress

  • @theapocolyptic You're probably right, but now you've gotten into politics. I'm an independent because I have a bunch of liberal views and a bunch of conservative views--this just happens to be one of my conservative ones. Anyway...

Question for you: do you think it would be wise or unwise to trash our land-based ICBMs for, say, an additional 10 ballistic-missile submarines with Trident II SLBMs?

  • @nukewarfare2 In My Opinion. We always need to have land based ICBMs.. Right now I think we have 450 with Single Warheads. And 50 with 2 or 3 MIRVs.. I miss the Peacekeepers.. They held up to 8 MIRVs.. But The Titan IIs were awesome.. Even though a Single reentry vehicle.. They Still Packed an outstanding 9mt warhead.. But they were outdated and had to be replaced.. But back to you're question.. we always need subs to be on stationed patrol thoughout the world.. to have a first strike capability

  • @nukewarfare2 But we also need Land Based ICBMs to back them up.. because if com sats for the subs were nocked out... then we would only have direct comunications with the Land Based ICBMs.. even thought we have 18 Ohio Class which can hold 24 Trident II SLBMs and can hold up to 12 MIRVs (if no treaties were in session) that can be 300-475kt each.. I still think we should maintain our missle silos.. and if so.. build a few more...

  • @nukewarfare2 but into politics.. as I say You Can Never Have Too Many Nuclear Weapons.. But You Can Never Have Too Much Power..

  • would make for a killer grow op.

  • @zekehoop for sure

  • they have ones in Nebraska and Montana that are like 150 foot deep tubes with 10 levels to live in, i totally want one.

  • @GeneralChurch Where abouts in Montana do they have those and are they for sale?

  • He was my high school psychology teacher. Pretty cool dude.

  • 2:40 - 2:55 Let the man finish, now we'll never know!!!! Good one, jock lol.

  • Has anyone ever considered turning on of these abandoned missile silo into a mock lunar or marsian base for university students or astronauts. They could implement technology for occupants to simulate living on a distant planet.

  • @09kolmann Why do that!? We could throw a giant rave in there. Fuck universities :D

JK, thats a good idea you got though.

  • People call it weird for now. But if the time comes, people will be begging to get inside.

  • wow guy in 2:08 looks like Liam Neeson ( Qui-Gon Jinn )

  • Former Minuteman II/CDB Combat Crew Commander at the 321 SMW Grand Forks AFB, ND 1978-1982. Pulled average of 8 alerts per month for 4 years usually at Oscar 0 or November 0. I had primary responsibility for my 10 birds but could launch all 50 in a given squdron if needed. Each missile had 3 warheads independently targeted (MIRVED). And yes, I absolutely would have turned keys if directed by National Command Authority. I also knew where each RV was going since the 321st had retargeting.

  • My life goal is to buy one when I'm out of college. I'm so into that kind of shit...

  • I'm sure all the stuff in there costs $100,000. Even from Sears, 17 couches, 83 lamps...

  • How the hell did he get it for 40k$ I was looking at his homepage and are now planing to buy one within a few years.

  • you think the goverment cares about money its our money there spending not theres they dont work for it.. were the ones that give it to them.. they print money too as much as they need plus black ops and stealing technology oh yea the world needs to be destryed all of man needs to end.. hurry up coment apophis

  • WROG the government doesnt have money, they borrow it from the federal reserve which is A PRIVATE BANK and they are the ones that print the money out of thin air. Money is loaned into existance making a system based on debts that cannot be repaid and if they could be repayed somehow the whole world economy would crash. Its hard to undrstand and might sound whack but its the crude true. you can watch how the money system works looking at the Crash Course videos here in youtube. ;)

  • nice waist of money(25mil 1960$), building such a big shithole for using it only for 4 years..

  • id be scared to live there, it could be haunted :O

  • @industryfails That would make it all the better to live in.

  • lol it's a missile silo, not a graveyard. But it would still probably be pretty creepy.

  • @industryfails oh, yeah.... sure....

  • @industryfails haunted by what? I doubt any one died there lol, it was an old nuke site not a war zone.

  • @industryfails yes a ghost is going to shove a nuke up your ass

  • @industryfails haunted by what? radiation?

  • build a house underground and own a house above it and rent out the house on top :3

  • I would want to make sure the Ruskies know it is de-commisioned if you know what I mean, maby the chinese as well.

  • I've had that thought before....maybe not as safe as it sounds.

  • @HarmonyChurch88 Fuck the ruskies and the chinese.

  • @HarmonyChurch88 lol, you think that they may target it in the event of nuclear war??

  • @nunvikingsofthesea This facility was most likely been targeted during the cold war. This guy living in the silo is kind of Zany.

  • at least he doesn't have to worry about tornadoes!

  • 250-300 a month? BS

  • My dream home.

  • Thats a bomb shelter... Legit, i don't know if its one that can survive a nuclear blast, but if it is... He doesn't have to worry about anything.

  • i live about 5 miles away from this guys house and he gave us a tour of it, it was awesome!!!

  • I am so building a bunker on my property.

  • lol me too amazing

  • haha, make me want a missile base home now...

  • that is so awsome
