May I ask whether that mic is a stereo, and if so, what model? It seems like it would be a lot a lot less cumbersome than a pair of mics on a boom which is what I have, but it sounds very good.
It is a stereo mic, but only a cheap one (Hitachi HMP606). I am playing through the mic into my HiFi and capturing that amplified and equalised sound on the camcorder.
P.S. I've heard you can help "break in" a new Guitar by leaving it in front of your speakers while listening to music. I guess it could work in front of your amp too. It "ages" the wood. Sounds good to me.
Thanks a lot for playing Sor, who is in my humble opinion, the greatest composer for classical guitar ever. (Together with Barrios, Villa-Lobos and Tárrega ;))
I agree entirely with your comment about these great composers. Sadly, as a self-taught guitar player (note I didn't say Guitarist!), most of the really beautiful pieces by these guys are way beyond me....but I will never give up!!
Thanks Liran. It is the 3rd one in Segovia's Twenty Studies For Guitar by Sor. This was first published in 1945 and was his choice of progressive studies from Sor's repertoire, edited and fingered by the man himself.
I do enjoy playing "Studies for the Guitar by Fernando Sor" revised, edited and fingered by Andres Segovia. Most of them were recorded by Maestro, but few pieces were not recorded. It is a big shame for me and for the world of guitar.
Great play and melody expressed very clearly. Wander to ask u what the hacking book you down on your desk? My girlfriend Gabrilla told me say hey to you , she likes your renditions. AsGoodAsItGetsVidas
Oh come on Give it a try! I gave it a shot and ended up playing it (with a lottttt of mistakes lol ) I agree that it is tough but Believe me it wont be that hard for "You" to play , dont post it as long as you dont feel comfortable but please work on it. Its my humble Request
I will try to do some more soon. Op6 No12 is my favourite, but there are some nasty shifts in the minor part that are sure to produce a buzz or two, or three...ad infinitum.
Note the improvised mic stand only works on it's end, ie. it has to be empty!
very nice roger friendly from guadeloupe i like alot your playing

Thanks, Paul.
I haven't kept in practice these last couple of years, and working these details out might give me enough time to get the guts to
perform and put new stuff up You Tube.
