  • If only he could still play this well...

  • David Walliams looks happy :)

  • All the best players have gone the game is nothing now I loved it in the 80's early 90's when players had massive still. Jimmy a great player shame he never won the world title.

  • amazing.

  • Sick!!!! Jimmy was a monster snooker and pool player, his banana shot in the world championships whilst using the rest remains the greatest shot ever!

  • @MegaHipHop007 Which world championship was it? Can you see it on youtube? :D

  • @tw4tz0r most gifted player to ever pick up a cue? thats a tough one I know, I think maybe yea. Ronnie fans might have something to say though

  • Served him at B&Q recently. MAESTRO is not a great enough word.

  • at 0:14 he's like...it's time to make spin history.

  • Look at KIrk. Great reactions. Respect

  • From the era when players could smoke and drink booze.

  • Wow, was this the match Kirk got his 147? That must have been an awesome clash to see back then and there!

  • This is now a good banana shot xd

  • Cheer Up Jimmy! lol.

  • my left ear loves this audio!

  • Text Book

  • kirk became jimmy's fan after this...

  • ball falls out at :33 (thumbs up?)

  • WOW

  • thats before he was drunk

  • jimmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy

  • love the guy screaming at 0:01

  • You got to hand it to Kirk`s sportsmanship, even he was a fan if Jimmy`s magic..how the hell did Jimmy pull off the pink spin shot ?

  • he hit it that hard he put a hole in it LMFAOOO

  • does jimmy white remind anyone else of lechiffre from casino royale?

  • I am 45 years old and remember when Jimmy first turned professional in 1980. Jimmy was such a great player to watch and played shots that no other player could play.

  • @Davewise1965 he was perhaps are the entertainer in snooker game LOL heart him :D love his curl ball placing ..

  • I grew up watchin this stuff. Alex Higgins was the greatest player ever, closely followed by Jimmy White, then Ronnie O'Sullivan and now we have Judd Trump. Still no-one will match Alex Higgins, he was ahead of his time

  • man i wish i was alive to see him play he is the bomb!

  • Judd Trump is like him

    Its called Banana shot

  • Judd Trump is like him

  • After this match, these two men had their first homosexual experience.

  • @capoman1

hahahaha! thats so disrespectful.. but hilarious

  • Nice going, Kirk. Clear and pure enjoyment of the game.

  • even though it was a scratch you see the score. kirk got no more chance of winning.

  • Much better player than O'Sullivan for me

  • Have you seen the cueball go in to the pocket at 0:36??

  • ทรงผมเท่ดี

  • @maxbank100

    I totally agree mate

  • ทรงผมเท่โคตร

  • they had pool tabels in them days??? lol

  • @MegaSmitty86 its snooker btw

  • For those asking how it curved, it's pretty simple. He's run the exact same shot as a draw on the straight, but instead, hit it at an angle (to pot the colour). Learn to do power draw shots and these shots become a lot easier.

  • one of the greatest players ever.. no player, even today could match his brilliance back then..

  • @fairhillnorrie really?

i don't think so he even loss to efren reyes

can you just first watch efren reyes before you say something then think afetr you watch his shots..

  • Table looks smaller ??? is it???

  • @1985sta Just thinking the same thing :O

  • wow how did he did that cueball curved he must be a well trained

  • how it curve like dat

  • Spin shots are all well and good, but they don't help you when you get anal raped by Davis and Hendry now do they? :)

  • Did the last shot just tear the pocket or drop the balls?

  • Anyone think Jimmy White looks a bit like Murphy from Robocop in a wig?

  • at the end he broke the pocket LOL

  • i dont think anyone was expecting that unbelievable bit of check-side on the cue ball at the end!! this is why jimmy is a legend. theres not a player now, who could even dream up a shot like that!

  • @johnykoop judd trump can. He did the same exhibition shot in the crucible in 2011. He ended up in final playing against the world number 1 John higgins unfortunately Judd lost.

  • @anoj1994 i tend to agree wiht you. judd and robertson could pull this off, but the conception of the shot is what makes it wonderful.

  • Jesus! What cue power!

  • every time i watch jimmy, it reminds me how shit at snooker i am

  • @gordthelord12 Doesn't need Jimmy for me to realise that.

  • @TimeBreaker1987 Dickhead

  • he scratch at the end..

  • Jimmy white= Le chiffre

  • love the score 106 to 1

  • BEST PLAYER TO NEVER WIN THE WORLD TITLE!!!!

  • @Tw4tz0r correction best player ever :P

  • @Tw4tz0r Right about that 100%

  • It was great of Kirk Stevens to applaud as well!

  • @SykikSkills no and why?normal footage,no songs are anything.how come you found it annoying

  • im not sure whats more amazing in this video, jimmy's spin shots or Kirk Stevens' hair style

  • the shot from pink to black was mind boggling!!

  • @mcjuvey1 the way it spun on the front cushion to position itself on the black was incredible. That was the 2nd cushion and yet he managed to get it to spin off it.Mind boggling is right?how the fuck can you manage to do that

  • @1984ioc I agree,I know how to play most shots in snooker (I know how to...not saying I can pull them all off....lol) but I just dont get how he did that.....It came of one cushion with running side and then checked off the bottom cushion?????

To this day I dont think anyone has bettered Jimmy when it comes to flair shots!

  • if drago had a better safety play we would of witnessed so much more snooker genius.

  • Always try this shot when im playing. Its so hard to get so much power and spin, fantastic display of cue power, Judd Trump is quite good at this shot too.

  • Very impressed with Kirk's great sportsmanship!!

  • @docomo661 i think this is the match were he got a 147 the frame before wasn't it?

  • @docomo661 they were great coke buddies

  • @docomo661 i was impressed with the females in your family

  • @docomo661 thats because Coke Stevens had done a 147 in the previous frame, still buzing from it lol

  • look at where the white is going 0:32 :D

  • how was jimmy white never world champion???

  • @cribbo188 played against the wrong guy in the finals

  • Stephen Hendry = Best ever snooker play, hands down

Ronnie O'sullivan = Complete cunt with talent

Jimmy White = Entertainer who definetly had the ability to win a world championship and should have

  • haha he hits the black ball in with such force it knocks other balls out of the pocket.

  • you dont see play like this anymore

  • Kirk Stevens was Only player I ever saw on TV with chance to BEAT a 147 Break

Do not know if anyone ever has But ofcourse Max Break is Truely 155

But never hear anyone talk about it

  • Come on Jimmy!

  • Correction...

Should I say, 102-1 up with only 22 points remaining. :p

  • I used to love seeing Jimmy clear the table when he had the frame in the bag...

That banana spin is insane !

And for all those talking about Kirk's ebullient persona, then I suggest you look at the scoreboard...

White was clearly 5-4 up in a best of 11, and 97-1 up with 27 points left !

Ergo, he closed out the match a long time before this video started rolling !

  • how is that possible????!!!!! that's defyin all known laws of physics!!!!!!

  • @Jamesofhull no its not.

  • anyone else notice the balls falling out of the pocket at 0:30? so much power LOL

  • lol his spin shots are close to drifting

  • Everybody has the same haircut :S

  • what a pull uffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • the look of the irish. good man jimmy

  • how does he do that ?

  • Damn shame that Jimmy never won a World title. Still a legend tho.

  • i got poopy

  • i could tell it was 1984 by their hair....i was born in 1996...

  • Watermark FTL.

  • jimmy e muito bom mais o hendry foi seu carasco

  • How do you generate so much back right on the cue ball ?

  • Kirk Stevens: 1

  • Sportsmanship.

    How I miss it.

  • @AshtonPhoto A pint of lager during every frame!!

    How I miss it!!

  • Excellent wrist action

  • simply unbelievable

  • gooddddd

  • Cool curves ( :

I wanna learn to do them : )

  • was it bottom right-hand side on the pink?i think thats the way Jimmy was cueing...

  • Haha I saw the white ball going into the pocket :D:D:D:D:D

  • Im really happy for you and imma let u finish, but O'Sullivan had the fastest 147 break of all time!! OF AAALL TIME!!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!

  • Terrific characters in these heydays...quality!!!!!

  • Why that person keep on tabbing his middle finger .. I saw the same thing over at the ronnie o' sullivian thing

  • @msllss apparently its something to help the nerves, it takes the shakes away from the rest of your body

  • the class

  • Top Entertainer..Alex Higgins- By some distance. No one had the love, respect, admiration of so many, despite being a bad bxxxxxd at times..more than the hurricane. This was down to the shots he went for and the way he played..in terms of entertainment...no one will ever come close.

Jimmy white took over the mantle and the one thing that both of these players had in bucket loads...that Ronnie doesnt...is love for the game.

most dreary...Ebdon doesnt come close to Rex Williams and thorburn,

  • @clynol123 Whilst I agree with a lot of what you've said I'm going to beg to differ on Cliff Thorburn. Yes, he was a slow player but tactically he was brilliant and his demenour was always relaxed. He had a sharp, self-depracating sense of humour and often joked with the crowd and his fellow players. His battles against Higgins in the early 80s were absolutely superb snooker matches; the instinct and flair of Higgins versus the safety play and sheer doggedness of Thorburn.

  • @tvdd1973 I disagree. I am not saying Thorburn isnt a likeable chap. Indeeed he was very likeable.

But watching him play was no picnic. Not going to diss the guys tenacity and dogedness- he was after all the grinder...but god he was dreary as hell to watch.

  • @clynol123 Fair enough. We're just going to have to agree to disagree. I enjoyed watching Thorburn against the more attacking and 'spectacular' players of the day (White, Higgins, Stevens etc) because I loved the contrast of styles. Thorburn v Eddie Charlton was a different matter, I do accept that.

  • my most fav match ever it had it all 147 those bananna shots pure magic

  • It's great to watch Jimmy and his brilliant shots.

  • when i play like this the fuckin retarded ppl of snooker union in my country

say this is wrong and not how it should be..............................

  • I'm always amazed that he sinks the ball when he hits it as hard as this. When I hit the balls as hard as he is here, it hits the back of the pocket and comes back out, or it spins down the pocket and pops back up and out.

  • @adronias The answer is in the 'spin' of the ball - always remember that when you put 'spin' on the cue ball, the object ball spins the opposite direction. e.g. if you 'top' spin the cue ball the object ball is 'retarded'; If you bottom spin the cue ball the object ball is 'advanced' therefore if you hit a cue ball on its left side the contact with the object ball will be opposite - that's how you see the object balls seemingly 'swallowed' by a pocket. Try it by hand with two tennis balls.

  • @waldenhouse That isn't entirely true. Yes, I agree that putting left spin on the cue ball will make the object ball take some right spin. Putting top spin on the cue ball will now however 'retard' the object ball. The most top spin you can put on the object ball is a natural roll from the beginning, which doesn't 'retard' or impart any backspin on the object ball.

  • Anybody who would like to know where JW is hitting the white in order to play these shots.... On the cue ball, If H1 (Height 1) is the very bottom of the ball, H5 (Height 5) is the middle & H10 (Height 10) is the very top of the ball. L1 is extreme Left side, L5/R5 is center of the ball and R10 is extreme right side.

Jimmy is hitting H2, L2 for the deep screw with check side on the pink. And H2, R8 for the deep screw with running side on the black.

  • @jeannietwilight You got the contact points right but it was running side for the pink pot and check side for the black pot. Notice the cue ball came off the 1st cushion at a wider angle after the pink pot - hence running. Notice the cue ball came off almost straight from the baulk cushion - check

  • Born to play billiards. Jimmy White ball

  • vie my channel for snooker fans

  • I Agree tvdd .........The glory days of snooker . Could be wrong here but i think this was the match where stevens knocked in a 147 !Snooker's in the gutter now im afraid ............ Thanks to Mr J Higgins

  • OMG chuck norris in a disguise!!!!!

  • @Failedguy07 ANOTHER SHIT FCUKIN CHUCK NORRIS JOKE...

  • @liarobe O Sullivan could ;-)

  • @liarobe

unless you play him in the world championship final

  • @liarobe fuckin loser morelike

  • @noele10 what?

  • @liarobe IN-FUCKING-DEED

  • @liarobe u can if u meet him in the final

  • @liarobe unless your Stephen Hendry..

  • Kirk stevens made a 147 earlier in this match so that could be a reason for his cheerful demeanor. Also, anyone wearing that suit must have a sense of humour :)

  • @JimmyMac2708 excellent comment.

  • @JimmyMac2708 Or it could be that he's just a decent guy who appreciates how well Jimmy was playing. (More likely).

  • @JimmyMac2708 plus their good mates

  • more like Jimmy White - The best snooker player EVER

  • is it just me or the ball should have bounced the other way off the baulk cushion after the final black?

  • @SwampyQ2 It's just you. The cue ball was spinning rapidly anti-clockwise while travelling from the black to the baulk cushion. Meanwhile, it would've developed forward roll on the way due to the cloth friction. The anti-clockwise spin is of course what made the ball "banana" to the left, but the cloth friction would also induce right (opposite) sidespin due to the rolling.

  • @grouchysin you need to in...duce some beer,a smoke,a a womans pussy.,,what a boring fker u sound

  • @ciggyface fleshjoy

  • @SwampyQ2 it's called sidespin jackass fuck you

  • @outdoorpooltable correcting its not side spin, but its called screw back

potting non straight ball with screw back = amazing spin!

  • @KillUncleJohn believe me i know how snooker works and can play theses shots myself. if you'd seen the comment i was replying to you know why i was talking about sidespin. have a nice day and go fuck your mother.

  • even his opponent is like "holy shit nice one!"

  • he looks like christopher reeve..

  • any1 else think that kirk looks like jurgen klinsmen?

  • ha ha

  • I love Kirk's white suit lol

  • i never noticed he left handed lol
