Nokia 2730 Classic

I want to buy this phone as a 3g tethering modem for my android tablet. Is it any good? I don't care about its shitty sound or image quality, just the 3g speed and signal strength.

@wommaster The sound quality is actually pretty good, warm, loud and clear sound from the speaker and also great display with 256k color. Signal strength is very good, always above 80%

No problems with the phone. Actually it's the best budget nokia I have head. Excellent audio provided you listen to with good headphones. Pictures and video are poor though.

who said anything about facebook or youtube browsing, im talking about the phone in genral. i bought 1 of these phones and had to return it 2 days later after a software issue then it was replaced and i got a new 1 given, then the new 1 starts been funny so i take it back and same is done old 1 for new 1 again, 3 weeks later the 3rd 1 goes on me, and 1 other thing which all three phones didnt have was signal reception........... be prepared to have the fuck on of your life !!

this phone is... well, awesome, BUT it has shity sounds... especially when you talk in the phone you have to focuse on the other line :/... but it has almost 1gb space by default, photo quality is good for a 2meg camera and you can listen mp3's with regular stereo head set which is a good plus....

I don't know dude, its mine like that as well and I looked around the net for answers and I didn't find one. Wallpapers look like crap because 40% of the screen is this clock. Yeah you can disable the clock and date in setting but then you have to carry a watch.

I liked this phone better when I didn't own one. ..

@insidiousboot also clear the cache on ur web browser reguarly. And leave as much room as possible wit ph memory. Get a memory card an transfeer as much data as u can to it. That also helps with the freezing. Hope this helps

@insidiousboot. Wel its slow for me anyway. The biggest 2 problems wit this ph. No desktop view. Of course u can dowload opera browser. But stil not good. Other is screen saver . It just keeps goin off in seconds leaving you in dark all the time. Nokia admitted this fault. 2 dam late for most people. Like me lol. It has its good points. But them 2 mess it up. Try taking back of ur ph when on web. It does help wit the freezing problem

In regard of the first question: the 2730 is an anti-shock phone, so is durable, not like the b2100 samsung, but witha tough casing, except the screen part, i feel.

the 2nd question is a yes. It has a similar setup like the medium price xpress music, 5220,5130,5310,5670, etc.. I believe i'm correct, if not, please, correct me

to haispan: where country are you from? Check your NETWORK MODE on PHONE SETTINGS. If your country uses 3G network, wave or frequency of phone same with japan and US or whatever they may call it i dont know? Use dual mode but if not and still uses GSM select GSM still on the NETWORK MODE on your PHONE SETTINGS and your battery will last longer. hope it helps

Quindi è questione di qualche settimana... poi lo sappiamo che nokia è sempre un po' vaga e fa uscire i modelli sempre un po' in ritardo rispetto al periodo annunciato. L'unica cosa che non mi piace del 2730 è il fatto che il navy key non si illumina.. peccato...
