  • OK so i stole this CUB and its full with 30L of beer. SO can i open it ?

  • Very nice, easy-to-understand video. Thank you for posting this!

  • To Irregularpulse and themkjm. Why is it Illegal? You pay a deposit for the keg in which they keep if you dont return it? Is it illegal to rent a movie from blockbuster or hollywood video and not return it, then be charged $20 for not returning a used copy of Bambi, then taking that dvd (which you paid for (technically) ) and using it as a coaster for your Beer?

  • my god, i hope you don't get offended, but i can't understand a single word you're saying. Your accent is just like the one heard on the simpson australian episode.

I don't doubt yours is a great tutorial but, really, i can't understand it. PEACE :D

  • @aosjimzaw australian motherfuck, can you speak it. dam americans

  • Hello, thank you very much for teaching us how to open a barrel of beer, I'm home brewer and I need to keep my beer in a keg, I can do this procedure? does not affect my beer

  • did you ruin the keg or can it be refilled ? and do people normally just buy new kegs or do they refill theirs for less??

  • how do you get the grommet out in the first place?

  • Sorry jibscunt, no matter how much they can "afford" it it is still illegal to destroy a keg that has not been decommissioned personally by the brewery stamped on the side.

Whether you give a crap is another thing, but it IS illegal.

  • its not illegal, dont listen to this moron below me, brewing companies make millions of dollars a year and can afford to lose a few kegs. The ones he is talking about probably needed replacing anyway.

  • Doing this is illegal !!!! The keg is and always will remain the property of the Brewery stamped on the side of the keg. One Brewery in particular has had to buy 30,000 keg in the last three years @ $150 ea due to this theft. Don't get caught because they have had a gut full of this !!!! Be warned !!!!

  • Yes that's right. You will have to de-gas.

With regards to the ring/washer it is never welded in. It's probably just a bit tight because it's never been removed before.

  • Im having serious trouble removing that first ring/washer... do they weld it on sometimes?????

  • yeah man....you better de-gas with the butt of a shifter. If not you will take your head off and we all know you need your head to drink your beer

  • you need to make sure yo degas your keg first its very dangerious otherwise.. thats if you do manage to remove the ring

  • thooys dont use this type of keg.. they have a screw in type same as the coopers kegs
