Wow. I heard part of this on a movie about the Germans winning WW2. I thought it was just a joke about how we'd all be speaking German now and the Beatles would have been "Der Beatles" (or something). I didn't know they actually recorded 2 songs in German. George was actually thrown out of Germany once as he was then only 17 and thus underage. Paul could also speak schoolboy french.

@LordEizen they can't speak the german "ch" (as in "ich"="i" and "glücklich"="happy") properly, they speak it as a "k", though it should be like a sort-of "hiss" sound. but thats common among many if not all native english-speaking people who want to speak german. besides that - it's more than obvious that they are foreigners, they could never fool a german person that they could be native speakers. this goes for any movie i've seen in which non-germans portray germans.
