  • They should have played this video in my German class.. !!

  • WELTSTARS sangen auf Deutsch .

    Das waren noch Zeiten .

  • sarGent-_-_-maJor got a message in the old Aramaic for you, but I figured your people couldn't translate it for you so I decided to send it on to you ANYWAY, in German (Du hast ihr wehgetan)

  • IM SO DANCING TO THIS WHOOP WHOOP

  • Wow. I heard part of this on a movie about the Germans winning WW2. I thought it was just a joke about how we'd all be speaking German now and the Beatles would have been "Der Beatles" (or something). I didn't know they actually recorded 2 songs in German. Anyway, this is awesome and the German lyrics are nice and pronounced quite well.

  • i never hear it before.. sounds good...

  • What's with the green and red banner on the screen for the entire song?

  • @colderbeer And the blue at the very bottom...

  • Dickkke eier

  • "Come give me your hand"

  • greman+the beatles= odly attractive :D

  • @Live0Laugh0Twilight thats one reason what attracted me to learn german :))

  • I find them singing in German attractive.

  • @toranyah me too :D

  • Man, I can't stop listen to this.

  • One day, I'm gonna take a german class just to sing along 2 this song

  • Somehow, this doesn't roll as well off the tongue as it does in English...

  • As a german speaker I am very proud that the fab four gave their versions of their wonderful music im deutsch. AS FOR THE TRANSLATOR BOYS A KNIGHTHOOD

  • Whoever disliked this should b shot then buried then dug up and shot again

  • @333Beatle Ja ich weiß, rechts

  • MLIA.

  • I don't think that the schoenheit frauleins gave a hoot about their poor accents. Heck, Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand was even a hit in North America! They could have sung in Swahili and the girls would have screamed themselves hoarse all the same.

The Beatles were wunderbar and that's all there is to say.

  • why these stupid tags?

  • @deltahu What's wrong with them?

  • my god, it was a joke. i'm one of the biggest beatles fans that i know...and i'm not offended in the least. its funny...loosen up or else take your overly serious attitude somewhere else...ya know...like somewhere outside of the internet. that way, people can laugh at you in person.

  • excellent pronounciation. respect beatles!

  • There isnt that many bands in the world who would of done several language releases, such as German or Japanese. The two languages are fairly complex, and at times must of been a real pain for Lennon, McCartney, Harrison & Ringo to sing

  • this was so cool of them...i love German!!

  • thats so cool!

did they speak the languages they sang other than english or could they speak them too?

  • @ChristineScholz They could speak limited german as they spent several prolonged periods performing in Hamburg. This was in clubs along the rather sleazy Reeperbahn which was the red light district. George was actually thrown out of Germany once as he was then only 17 and thus underage. Paul could also speak schoolboy french.

  • I love the German and English Version....my granddad was German so I love the language!

  • I wanna see them sing this in Chinese.

  • but we have to remember that the beatles became famous in star club hamburg, in germany.

  • I feel like I should know the words, but I don't speak German! xD

  • Das ist perfektes Deutsch.

    That's perfect German.

  • @bAbyDin0sauris They are saying "Come, give me your hand".

  • @bAbyDin0sauris haha awesome funny

  • @bAbyDin0sauris No they're not. komm gib mir deine hand is come give me your hand

  • @bAbyDin0sauris actually it translates into come give me your hand

  • @bAbyDin0sauris No they're not. Do you know any German? If you did, you would know that it says, "come give me your hand"

  • @bAbyDin0sauris not according to google translator.

  • @bAbyDin0sauris

Kommt gib mir deiner Hand . ( deiner = your ) not DAD .

  • Comment removed

  • @EricoSuaveBigD

Komm gib mir deine Hand. The correct spelling is right in the title....

  • @EricoSuaveBigD na, it's deine, without an r ;) deine = your :)

  • @bAbyDin0sauris Nope. They are saying, "Come give me your hand".

  • @bAbyDin0sauris That was immature.

  • @bAbyDin0sauris Don't worry, while it seems most people didn't get your joke, I did. And I laughed.

  • @SonicKid7 you get it rite ? lol

  • @bAbyDin0sauris no there not dummy

  • @bAbyDin0sauris are you dumb? thats not what they're saying!

i have no sense of humor!

but really i get your joke, unlike most other people lol. it sounds like dad in the song but everyone is taking it so literal. its not immature?? wtf? it sounds like he's saying that. the person below me called you a dummy?

im pretty sure you know that they're not saying that, so why are you dumb? people piss me off

  • @jajerome2011 thanx for understanding me :)

  • @bAbyDin0sauris hahaha!

  • Comment removed

  • @bAbyDin0sauris No they're not. . . They're saying "Come give me your hand". Do you know any German? Please, at least, use Google Translate before commenting something stupid again. . . You also misspelled "they're".

  • @ImTheBatchMan He was kidding Sherlock holmes. He was talking about the bad pronunciation, they are speaking german but it sounds like they're saying "come give your dad a hand" in english..

  • @Dirxano Okay, I'm sorry that I can't hear sarcasm, or anything else, through text. . . He could have put a "lol" or a "jk" after his comment.

  • @bAbyDin0sauris ahahahahahahaha, yes

  • @bAbyDin0sauris No, they are not.

  • @bAbyDin0sauris No.... They are saying "Come give me your hand"...........

  • I like this better than the other version :)

  • English,Japanese,German,Hebrew...anyway the beatles will still be awesome.......

  • My German teacher had us learn this song, and we're going to sing it at the school's multi-cultural assembly, love it. =D

  • @lunarstar48014

We sung it in German Klasse too! Then we were quizzed on the lyrics! :D

  • damn haha this is the best german song ever :D

  • los beatles cantando i want to hold your hand en aleman , Vivan los beatles(best band ever)

  • My asshole just exploded

  • @TheMrGjokaj Ouch.

  • their accent is soooooooo cute! :D

    du nimmz mi den verstahand!

  • lol

  • Come, Give Me Your Hand. xD

  • Come give me diner hand? O_O

  • @TheOrangeTroll haha it is "komm gib mir deine hand" :D

  • @TheOrangeTroll diner means your.

  • @ChristineScholz too bad it's spelled, "deiner"

  • ... Why are the lyrics blocked?! That's retarded...

  • they must of been cracking up while making this ESPECIALLY JOHN lol

  • German version is better than the English version plus I have the German version on my iPod.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)))))))))))

    George, George, Geooooooorge !!!!!!!!!

  • Hehehehehe....

  • im pretty sure komm gib mir deine hand means come give your hand but this is great

  • @TheDoylen

of course... give me your hand

  • @TheDoylen youre totally right ;) it means come give me your hand in German ;)

  • Ihr Akzent klingt soooo süß :D:D:D

  • it sounds like there saying come give your dad a hand

  • This was the first record I heard of the Beatles and the first record I ever owned.

  • The german's were lucky that the beatles would made the song in there language Im from denmark and when do a english band sing danish... :(... But it's okay I'll just shut the fuck up and listen to this song... xD

  • @kristiannym1234 Lol... if The Beatles recorded their material in every language they wouldn't have had time to write other songs... indeed they gave up singing in German after two songs, and besides the English versions of "she loves you" and "I want to hold your hand" are now more popular in Germany that these versions.

  • John sang the lead vocal in english and Paul sang the lead vocal in German.

  • I'm only in german 1, but I'm pritty sure it's deiner Hand. Not deine. LOL but cool story bro

  • @mileyrockz234 no, "deine" is actually right ;)

  • @LissiLinea Ahh ok :p thanks

  • @mileyrockz234 Ja...sie hat rechts. "DEINE"...ist richtig.

  • @MrEODTEK ok danke

  • To any that criticize, the quality of the German ,Japanese or any other language being sung by the Beatles on these recordings ,please try to appreciate that they wanted you to feel included in the fun that the rest of us were having.Had they not bothered -they would've had people around the world happily singing their songs in less than perfect English .So who really loses ?

  • @DaDa2Phlux Actually I like both German and Japanese more than English even though I think Italian the best i just wish I could speak them

  • @DaDa2Phlux I think their German is awesome. I wish half of the Germans would speak a great German like that...

  • @JessiLOSTinTheUSA So the Germans can't speak German D: ?

  • @DiddyTheDuck2 Achso okay.

  • @HappySunshineStar well half of the Germans speak like a mixture of English and German...

  • @JessiLOSTinTheUSA Not really xD

  • @DaDa2Phlux are you kidding me? without germany there wouldn't ever had been the beatles

  • @Video7898 You and i are in complete agreement.Berlin & the friends they would make there played a pivotal role-down to their haircuts ,the clubs, the girls .....even the great hash.all provided the crucible to hone the new sound. And then on to conquering .... The World ! Haha

  • only reason: germany thrid greatest music market worldwide. even back then. singing german versions increased the sales. only reason for that and it's enough: money!

  • @moeloehoe

thats the truth. johnny cash recorded in german for the same reason ... but the beatles kind of grew up in germany playing as nobodys in several hamburg clubs. the club owners gave them booze and amphetamine pills and then they had to play for hours... but it only did them well it seems ;)

  • The hairstyles they took up wearing n droped the Teddie duck tails for was from the German 'Exi' scene. A group of German beat-likes were called the Existentials. They wore their hair in ancient Roman style.

  • why not sing in German FOR Germans? I found out from an American who has the cassettes with English and German versions.

  • monk, that person lied. I am born German. "In deinen Armen bin ich glücklich und froh, komm gib mir deine Hand" ist perfektes Deutsch

  • I sung this live at a gig, and a German man walked up to me and told me this is'nt proper german...

  • bEATLES IMMER GEIL

  • It's like a Chinese person saying 'Come give your dad a hand'

  • I heard the reason that this song has to be in German is because EMI Germany stated that Beatles records would not be sold unless sung in German. The Beatles detested the idea. They had to record this song at EMI's Marconi Studios in Paris, France.

  • come give your dad a haand!

  • really , I fainted.

  • jonno2 very versatile very british,,,,,

  • John's voice remains impeccable no matter the language

  • alemanes quliaos

  • it's wrong. komm, gib mir deine hand means: come, give me your hand, it is not " i want to hold your hand"

  • @Scheissdigga yea duh. they probably had to change the words in German to make the song sound right. they do that a lot.

  • @Kaymax13 yeah sure, well, actually i didn't born in a english speaking country, so you are right! have fun and enjoy your day, kisses ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @Kaymax13 yeaah sure, actually i was born in a spanish speaking country, german and english are not my first language, but i can speak them! have fun, and enjoy your day!

(...`Alter´, haha!!!)

  • spitzenmäßig!

  • Glee --> 3rd episode --> Hold your hand ---> Wikipedia article for "Hold your hand" --> Read "German version?" --> Youtube --> voila.

  • I've noticed in the early days of the Beatles Ringo had the time of his life and having fun when playing on the drums then when Sgt. Pepper came around and then he looks frustrated all the time

  • LOL at 2:10!!!! the guys!

  • At least they werent lipsyncing XD

  • how their pronunciation? if theres any german person watching this =) i dont speak german so im curious ty

  • @LordEizen

Their pronounciation (especially when considering John's disability to speak German, in contrast to Paul or George) is quite good. Well, at least I don't have any difficulties understanding them and I don't think any other German should have ;)

  • @Niggelz ohh. cool thanks =D

  • @LordEizen they can't speak the german "ch" (as in "ich"="i" and "glücklich"="happy") properly, they speak it as a "k", though it should be like a sort-of "hiss" sound. but thats common among many if not all native english-speaking people who want to speak german. besides that - it's more than obvious that they are foreigners, they could never fool a german person that they could be native speakers. this goes for any movie i've seen in which non-germans portray germans.

  • @katho8472 thanks for clearing that up =) im watching this movie i watched a long time ago called Das Jesus Video.. it so hard to find!! i couldnt find english subtitles, just spanish fan subtitles xD im not sure if they are accurate.. i hope so cause its all i have.. =( great movie!

  • it means come give me your hand, but i think this version is almost besser than the English version, das singin ist besser, but the beatles are always good. Does anyone know where i can bu the original german beatles song, not one redone by someone else. Danke

  • it sound like come get me by my hand
