I find this hilarious despite being black and asian american.. its not like he was trying to offend anyone... its just t.. no its not but theyre just joking and his hand motions made it funny - which explains the getting out of seats and laughing like crazy people.. but still . .. ..... im just saying..
What makes this video really unsettling or weird to me is how they're all like falling on the ground and jumping out of their seats laughing like a bunch of maniacs. Their behavior is so odd, especially to an American viewer, that they seemed to be filled with racist fervor or something.
Uhm. Guys. This is offensive. Who gives a shit if it wasn't offensive to you, doesn't mean it wasn't offensive to someone else. Stop being in your kindergarten "I don't know how to sympathize with others" mode and grow the hell up.
Lol I was expecting to get angry but this was actually funny. I think it helps that some of the people at the table don't actually believe that stereotype is true.
Im actually more perturbed with Min's comments than anything. Joo actually was funny and did good acting that wasnt over the top. Min's ass on the other hand thought it be funny to overly dramatic and mimic what she sees in movies.
@AprilShowers007 Hey, I'm subscribed to your channel and just happened to see your comment here haha. But what did Min do exactly that was overly dramatic? the hand gesture? just curious b/c I thought she was much less dramatic than brian lol
@Vharon Hey there! Yes i thought her hand wave and "uh uh girl" was like thats how all black girls must talk, but i didnt take it heart tho because I love Miss.A and support them wholeheartly. I just feel that Min has a distorted image of black girls based off what the media displays. I dont think any of them are racist but laughing at another race isnt "nice" or classy either. Its like it there was a show in America mimicing the stereotypes of Asian girls or guys & everybody laughing at it.
@Vharon Gikwang of B2ST is one I do believe is racist or at least demonstrates those tendencies. He's the one that shouted "Say his nostrils are too big!" Like WTF? So I guess we all look like baboons n are dark as the pavement? What if someone commented and said his eyes were too small. He wouldn't like that at all so why he think its okay to be stereotypical of another race? He's also done blackface before. That crossed the line for me. & B2st music is soul influenced so im really confused.SAD
@AprilShowers007 Yeah I gotcha. I don't think gikwang is necessarily "racist" but rather really ignorant. Koreans just have no constant exposure to other races/cultures and therefore probably don't know what can possibly offend. For example, when I was like 6 I would slant my eyes and pretend to be asian. I wasn't making fun of my asian friend at the time, but it came across that way. Of course I learned real quick not to do that. I think it is the same with kikwang, he just doesn't know better.
@Vharon Well the thing I hear the Koreans havent been exposed but living here Ive seen a whole different Korea. The country is promoted as this untouched country but in realilty there are a ton of foreiners who have inhabitet Korea for years. Theres even Itaewon which a an entire city for foreigners Half the time I forget im in Asia bcuz I see so many foreigners. Another thing is why is it always JUST the black race they make fun of. ITs never any other. And that reason is because Asians feel
@Vharon (like many other country's) that the white race is superior and that there is no stereotypes to attach. But in the black race they "see" problems and stereotypes. It's really sad. Also just being mature adult should make them realize making fun of other races is not classy. My last point is theres a difference when someone is laughing WITH you or AT you. Unfortunatly in this video they werent laughing WITH Brian but AT the black race.
@AprilShowers007 lol sorry this is so long ;) last note. Living here in Korea i personally have not dealt with any racism whatsoever. No one has even asked me what my race is so, this video doesnt represent all of Korea but it shows that there is much progress that should be made with the media and peoples perceptions of other races. Whew! that was long. Thanks for responding hun and ill have more videos coming!
this is sooo hilarious that i cant even be offended lol smdh but he kno he wrong for that even not all black females do this you have to admit some of them do.
If we can make fun of Asians and laugh our asses off, they should be able to do the same with Americans! Considering Brian is American-raised and Asian, it's not racist.
I'm black and I thought it was funny! I cracked up to be honest! I just felt like the comments are what makes this seem racist... But to me BRIAN JOO didn't do anything wrong!
Oh Brian man ima expert at english . i wanna have a black girls fight with em. not trying to be meann. gee Gikwang aha says"say his nostrils are too big" LMFAO xD
@zizyi my dear i'm not speaking for all black people i commented stating my opinion ,if u like brian's impersonation ,fine if u don't , i don't care, i'm not forcing u ,its up to u if u think his racist or not . u don't speak for all black people either
Here, the guy is puckering his lips and making his nostrils big, and he's not talking in Korean which might sound funny because he might have an accent the others are not used to. If someone were to immatate an azn that person would talk in an accent and close his eyes really tight. They are the same forms of making people laugh, so no one should get upset over it, no one's really making fun of another race ... well maybe if you hate ppl like Russell Peters then ... hope this helped ^^
@denimecool You're one of the few who understands. I don't know why everybody's getting so upset, i'm black and I really enjoyed this. Ofcourse I don't speak for all black ppl, but everybody makes fun of everybody no matter what race. so everybody should just chill.:)
@MsJQJ Thank you fro reading my comment and responding to it! I was hoping it would get a few likes so others could see it on the top rather than the ones that are there right now, and sometimes it starts fan wars ;__; I don't want those tbh :/
brian joo is s nice he woud never make fun of black people it was just the other peole saying that he was and in an interview he said that he and his friends were act like divas so no one should get the wrong idea of him

I love Brian though, what he did was so funny, I died laughing at him. But a bunch of Koreans laughing at a black impersonation is disturbing.
@janat39 Having black friends doesn't absolve you of ignorance, that's the oldest excuse in the book. "B-b-but, I have a black friend!" Give m a break. Oh and BTW, you don't speak for all black people. This made me uncomfortable and it's not the first time this has happened with Kpop.
@janat39 OH REALLY? I'm Black and I think you sound very idiotic. I mean, I'm sure you didn't mean to sound idiotic because your best friend may be an idiot or you have a ton of idiot friends. Of course, if your last girlfriend/boyfriend was an idiot you may not have meant to sound idiotic.
@hitxthexdeck OH MY GOD i stated MY opinion if u disagree, u disagree ,thats up to u but stop with this whole "if i find it offensive then every one who doesn't is an idiot crap" the people that liked my comment didn't either ,that's there opinions ,not yours !!!!!! again if u have a differing opinion thats up to u
@janat39 I was not mad at your opinion. I was dissapointed that you think just because he has no problem talking to Black people doesn't mean he can't be a racist, stereotypical asshat. I know Korea has little to no Black people there but they have to be smart enough to know that that shit is NOT OKAY.
@hitxthexdeck well i've been a fan of brain for over two years now and i have to say
1. his friend that he was imitating has seen this many times as he use to do his female impersonation from high school in america.( he was the only asian american in his school, he grew up in america )
2. if this is still not enough ,because some people who shared ur opinion tweeted him about it he has since apologised several times and has never done it again despite urging of korean fans
@janat39 lol it doesn't matter if he has black friends or had a black girlfriend, he can still be a racist despite that. i don't think he is though, i just think his actions here were insensitive and stupid and he deserves to be called out for it.
I find this hilarious despite being black and asian american.. its not like he was trying to offend anyone... its just t.. no its not but theyre just joking and his hand motions made it funny - which explains the getting out of seats and laughing like crazy people.. but still . .. ..... im just saying..
