My favorite is Yoshi. Yeah, he's not the most powerful, but his Stampede move is hilarious to me. When I got mine, it was pink and I named it Pimposhi. (If I could make one for letter, it would be Pimpyoshi)

Vivian, Ms mous, and Bobbery are my favs. Vivian can burn foes (plus she's super cute), Mous can steal foe's items or badges (good way to get extra HP badges and free items) and sniff out hidden things, and Bobbery's basic attack is Bomb (which is much better then Bombette's bomb attack which needed FP). this is just my choice and reasons for liking them.

Sorry for this comment but for me bobbery is the 2nd and Vivian th 1st I beat the shadow queen with Bobbery but at half battle he fell so i put Vivian and never fell, she even hid me when she charged her attack

5: Flurrie [With extended health, she can survive battles and hit hard].

4: Goombella [She can tattle enemies, and enemies without spikes should watch out].

3: Sushi [When upgraded, she's a great damage-dealer, and is well-rounded].

2: Watt [When upgraded, he can power up your attacks, and stun enemies].

1: Yoshi [Although not much health, he can swallow any enemy, and spit to another enemy, quickly defeating both].

By the way Goombella towards the end of the game (I don't remember exactly when) concludes she is female... I don't know, dude, despite being a boy in the Japanese version of the game, Vivian is still totally a "she" to me. But that's just my opinion.
