I'm sorry but that's a pretty bad wallpaper to use. Too many bright and dark colors mixed in the picture. It'll make it very hard to read the icons that are displayed on the desktop.

You don't have to go through your toolbar to desaturate, just set the Values of Hue Saturation and lightness to 0.

the picture with the green light stroke you've put inside looks really bad!!

i would change the blendmode to screen or smth like that and would encreas the black through levles!!!

hey. One tip for you my friend. If you have black background with your design you can just set it to "screen" it's like above the layers where it says normal. And nice sources for images. thanks :) and good luck you're doing great keep up the good work

cs3 is a lot better than cs4, cs4 is too slow andcomplicated as cs3 is very fast and easy to understand.
