  • im memorizing this speech, and want to be able to give it one day and then be able to say thanks for the words of greatnessss :)

  • Too bad he never got a chance to serve as president.... It is a shame someone subverted the democratic process ... I am sure he would have become the next president of the US if he had lived. I hope someday we learn what really happened to him and his brother. The Democrats of the 1960s were more principled than the Carpetbaggers in office today.

  • @kdfromhb We know what happened. They pushed peace and love, said no to war and our Military Complex didn't like that!! So they were assassinated!! We all know the Government did it...some of us just don't want to believe it!! They killed so many greats during this period, they didn't kill the Revolution though!!

  • hahahaha Come on I liked the video until they showed corrupt Pelosi and Obama

  • one day after MLK's death.

  • He has my vote for President :) He would have been great!

  • He was without a doubt one of the most sincere and compassionate leaders we have ever had. How I wish I could have known him, and helped him.

  • @AgaMbadi You can still help him, by helping all of us: keep his ideas alive. Hold them in your heart and share them with the world.

  • @elboertjie I like to think that I do, every day. Peace.

  • As humans we're on the continuous dilemma of prevail or disappear. Today there are many challenges, and it's really incredible after 2 terrible wars and 6000 years of history we can't cooperate less thinking as a collective. Now in a world of crisis where implosion of society seems to be around the corner, the politicians have their own agendas, and we're fighting each others in a non-sense struggling while time is running out. Today is time for change, before it will be too late...

  • Oh yeah. No wonder they killed JFK and RFK, and 'John John', too.

The 'farmers' don't want courageous, free thinking chickens, let alone those that can 'inspire' the rest of 'us', in a battery hen farm.

  • great!!

  • Thanks for uploading the video. RFK and JFK affected my life.

  • Where did you find this speech/song from the BOBBY soundtrack?

  • What's up with the guy at 1:58? Gotta say, that's the first time I've seen someone with a baseball hat, a t-shirt, and a sword.

  • I pause to imagine where America would be, had JFK, RFK, MLK, and Malcolm, all had the chance to live, and perpetuate the change our nation needed so drastically then, and so hungrily now.

  • this is one thing us democrats can say that no republican can ever say we dems had bobby and jack your reagan was no equal only abr. but not for the 20th cen.

  • The world is a lessor place without John and Bobby. How we all sob as a nation. Without a leader that cares for it’s people. Maybe Ron Paul can come close to what the Kennedy’s wanted for us. That is if that don’t kill him too.

  • really well done video with incedible speech and words.

  • This is the pre-eminent example of how you can never speak too slowly while speaking. The pauses, the tempo, the inflection of his speech are absolutely perfect. His confidence comes through so absolutely in this speech that you can't help but be inspired.

  • This is one of the most honest speechest on any subject I've ever heard. He lays out the evils of violence not by repeating cliches that every politician makes but by blunty describing what is at stake. Furthermore he does it in a way that is not patronizing. He describes humanity in it's purest form and in doing so is able to point out clearly why every human should stand again the desctrution of one another.

  • those who live with us are our brothers, that they share with us the same short moment of life; that they seek, as do we, nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and in happiness

  • Why I'm going into politics and becoming a democrat

  • @sgtmjames Remain Independent... also Ron Paul is the modern RFK

  • @LovehammerMedia i like ron paul

  • True words from Senator Kennedy. But don't look to government to solve these issues. If they could then they would have done it already. These issues, these problems exist in the human heart. Only by one person at a time can we ever hope to change our world. Look to Jesus. True life can be attained only through Him.

  • @augietec I agree the problem is in the human heart, but that's why we need to look WITHIN, at our own consciousness. We've looked to Jesus (and Abraham and Mohammed etc.) for centuries and it has failed us. War and suffering...mostly by the hands of god-fearing people, Christians too. Despite the good words of these prophets, and the goodness of many of their followers, society is a mess, and we need look inward and find the love and compassion in our collective souls to turn the tide.

  • @augietec But this is the window where you anti-governist right-wingers must stay silent. It was your best friends who killed the kennedys and martin luther king. The empty belief in free market hysteria is a teaching of white men, the ones who stalled the breaking of segregation and rasism. government is something chosen by people free. Corporations are something imposed on the free souls by those filled with greed. And greed is not something good, it is something base and elementary.

  • world history could have been different if both brothers lived longer. R.I.P

  • may be a few nice words however, government has never stepped up to the plate to effect an actual difference. the cost of crime should rest on the shoulders of the government at large and to be unburdenend from the taxpayers by the labor of prisioners currently held. they hint at blacks being oppressed and yet this 40 years later they not only are massively destructive of their own people but other races as well. progress has not been made in fact we are 2,000 years further from solution

  • one of the best speeches in history.

  • Who knows what this country and world would be like today, had RFK and JFK lived? But one thing for sure, it's a big freakin' mess now!

  • Great speech, the video does not do it justice...

  • Love him.

  • best speech ever still timeless

  • We have lost too much and still the takers keep coming. When will we have true statesmen in the congress and white house again?

  • this speech is timeless

  • This is such a great speech, normally I don't have the patience to listen to speeches but this was good. :)

  • You guys were so lucky to have these fine brother's RFK,JFK,EMK..If only our Canadian counterparts had at any point in time such kind, honest intelligent men in office..It's so sad very sad! They were killed for wanting change...May God keep them well in heaven...and us? keep their memory alive and thier ideas as well...

  • Would've been a great President. R.I.P Bobby.

  • this is so real and up to date...God bless these meanings

  • Today of all days this is something to think about.

  • @rway019 Why so?

  • @rway019 Never mind. Actually used my head and thought for a second. So true.

  • One of the most beautiful speeches I have heard. Brings me to tears every time.

  • TO MAKE IT ALL SIMPLE......WE AS PEOPLE WHO WORK LIVE IN AMERICA...DON'T ENJOY THE FREEDOMS WE THINK WE HAVE."THINK". ....WE ARE NOT MESSING UP OUR ECONOMY...OTHER COUNTRIES ARE DOING THIS TO US....CON-TRAP-TIONS!

  • he fucken had to go

  • @beardedswine why?. because he tried to change this country for the better

  • Us Canadian's love you! and your family Bobby...see you on the otherside brother..

  • i like how the person that made this video that made this video when Robert used wielders of force and power and swagger, used the bush's pictures.

  • Might don't make it right!

  • i like RFK he is the most ethical of the kennedys and he was caring and understood the common man.

  • Many of you say that he was ahead of it's time. But its not like this, the problems that he was faced we face today, nothing has change, only the face of evil and the light of good is fading away!

  • Wow, great! 2:13 - "Swaggah!"

  • is this from "Bobby"

  • So moving and sincere, this is an example on what American politics lack. RIP Bobby...you were taken too soon.

  • I like the Speech but the video is incredibly liberally biased

  • @sgtmjames Yeah the guy who made the video clearly doesn't know Bobby was a devout Catholic and never would've supported gay marriage,ah well.

  • @DustyAndPistolPete actually i think that he would support gay marriage because he was for equality for all not just race but also for certain life styles

  • @DustyAndPistolPete . . . and you clearly didn't get what Bobby was saying. "We can perhaps remember, if only for a time, that those who live with us are our brothers, that they share with us the same short moment of life, that they seek, as do we, nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and in happiness. . ." He didn't have to support others beliefs, just their right to "live out their lives in purpose and in happiness. . . and (for us) to become in our hearts, brothers . ."

  • @unity1016 Did he adopt that attitude towards the mob?Politicians didn't think in those politically correct terms back then, the Kennedys hated communists for instance. They wouldn't have been soft on the war on terror either. But according to the guy who made this video, gay people and Muslims are the most persecuted.Personally I think it's offensive to take something like the suffering of black people in America and compare it to two men trying to redefine marriage to suit their sex life.

  • @DustyAndPistolPete His brother Teddy was also a catholic and he worked to abolish the ban on gay marriage, so i dont see why bobby wouldnt either

  • @sgtmjames So what if it is liberally biased, Bobby was a liberal

  • i think i speak for everyone when i say "we want Kennedy!"

  • @protectandserve21 we would really need that!

  • "Two often we excuse those who are willing to build their own lives on the shattered dreams of other human beings"

  • Very good video. Thank you

  • I understand you frustration good sir. I am a Constitutionalists. I do not believe there is any hope for this country until good citizens like yourself accept the fact the neither Democrats nor Republicans have any of our interests in mind. They work exclusively for central banks and giant corporations. Since the death of JFK we have had an unbroken string of war criminals and treasoners in the White House. Barak O-BUSH-ma is just carrying out the horrible policies of GW.

  • @piratephil05 GW- George Washington?

  • He died for his beliefs... His son probably won't do the same, he however is just as ahead of the times as RFK was... As I will be, once I am more educated. If I was RFK, I would run for president in 2012...

  • As a Brit this is the best speech I've ever heard.

  • Robert Kennedy was a True American Hero.. Not a big man , yet he was a giant... not afraid of anyone. David Fighting Goliath.. Athough this David was murdered, he did so much for AMERICA..

  • Robert Kennedy was a True American Hero.. Not a big man , yet he was a giant... no afraid of anyone. David Fighting Goliath.. Athough this David was murdered, he did so much for AMERICA..

  • whenever i watch and listen to an RFK or a JFK i want to become a democrat but whenever i hear the democrats who like to throw out conspiracy theories I am turned back away to Republicanism. although republicans and democrats are supposed to hate each other we must understand the people who hold political offices should do what is best for their country and not what is best for their political party

  • lame slides trying to advocate politics.

  • @MyDcast it's trying to enhance the mood of the speech

  • 4 the rigth 2 rigths that JFK & BFK gave their lives 4 to give 2 us I posted on blogspot, W2Sparta a post called "POW of the NWO" ... Due 2 people mistaking facts as disputable, JFK shot by 1 gun that produced 5 different sets of gun calliber shells, see what they saw & how it is turning out if we stay silent. They were out numbered but LOGIC against WISDOM differentiates SUBDUJATION against POW. We r still outnumbered but we have the rigths they died for. "ASK NOT ..." was a call 2 arms. LIVE

  • I can't stop replaying this speech >.<

is there any other similar speeches as this one?

  • I don't think I've ever heard words that mean so much and are so poignant today. You can hear it in his voice as his heart cries out for people to come together. RIP brother. A truly great man.

  • THis was given two days after MLK was shot.

  • White, Black....it doesn't matter. This is a man worth respecting. Our country would have been a much better place with people like the Kennedys. They had their issues like every human being does but that doesn't change who they were to the country.

But those who run the government now, can't have people such as this for I suppose it would ruin their goals of every new president having a war under their belt. I still salute JFK, RFK , MLK and Malcolm X. For the 60s was the era of forever.

  • 'Only a cleansing of our whole society can remove this sickness from our souls.' JFK and RFK would've loved to kill that bastard Bin Laden. The epitome of what he speaks against in this speech.

  • RIP RFK , and thank you so much - your speaches lives after your physical death and keep our hurts burning !

  • RIP RFK.

    RIP JFK.

    RIP America.

  • TYT

  • This speech makes me hates guns. :'( Not particularly because of the content of his words by themselves, but because of their truth in the reality of this world. One bullet took a great American future away from us; his future, and our future. That's a pain we can all feel, and one that reverberates strongly his speech.

  • nothing i love more than listening to bobby kennedy speak

  • what would Jack and Bobby Kennedy think and say about whats going on today ?

  • America is Finished :-( what makes me sad is that America had the best opertunety to change the world for the better, insted they let them selfs be rolled by the old evil empire, and do their dearty works for them. Still American solders run when they are tolled without using their brains...So i say fuck America!! GOD SAVE THE NEW KING!!

  • One of the strongest and knowledgeable men of all time. I wasn't born to witness his strength and courage but I miss this man none the less.

  • We cannot change the past, and we cannot predict the future but we can learn from the past and prepare for the future. What of the world that could have been, how beautiful, and how horrible it could have been, but we do not move forward or backwards for fear of the known behind us and the unknown ahead of us. Yet we constantly forget that there is no choice but to move forward. Ours is a world in which we are at war with peace.

If only one person remembers the memory can never fade.

  • WTF?! There are really 32 dislikes on this? How? Why?

  • I wish there were only pictures of Bobby throughout this speech. The pictures presented make it rather political and prejudiced. Thanks nonetheless for the moving speech and background music.

  • No one talks like this anymore

  • a man who dared to dream :(

  • Who could possibly dislike this?

  • @ajrnagy1

    Violent people

  • @ajrnagy1 the illuminati - the secret societies that live off violence. their job is to enrage us and keep us in the chains of society

  • I often wonder how things would be different from now if he had not been assassinated. This was a very thoughtful video, thank you.

  • The speech was fantastic, but it happened more than 40 years ago. Looking at today's America, say... Los Angeles, there are too many individual violence between ethnithic Mexican and Blacks. Whenever those incidents happened, the local government hide away. I don't understand why the U.S. government can treat those racial problems better than they are today. I am an Asian man and I am not an American citizen, but I really want the current California government can handdle things better.

  • Very moving and how the world needs a Bobby Kennedy now......Great video.

  • R.I.P, surely a missed icon of this world.

  • Thank you for posting this. Robert Kennedy was a great man, a truth seeker, and an American politician who cared about the weak and the lost. God bless you Bobby Kennedy, and keep you. We should strive to remember his life and what he used it for.

  • who the f**k is nixon,clinton bush . JFK, RFK r.i.p

  • He was, is and always will be truly beautiful

  • public plea for help! widowed father ,not native to vermont ,finds apathy and discrimination, civil rights violations but ,,,no forum,,, i need lawyer who not afraid of reprisal

  • A fantastic speech, perhaps appreciated more by those far from the USA. His message still hasn't got through to most in his own land. You can see why those in control in the USA would want this man and his brother eradicated. They taught equality and sadly that's as far off in the USA as it was in the 60's.

  • beautiful.

  • The Kennedys were different to other politicians. They actually gave a shit about you.

  • May The Lord Bless Robert F. Kennedy! R.I.P.!!

  • @susannebass they were theonly ones that gave a shit about us obama is another puppet and another diferent human he is black and he will always be

  • @midnightowl401 You've never read the Kennedy speeches, my friend. They paved the way for a black man to become President. Judge a man by his heart, not his color.

  • This speech was well before the recent events, it was given in 68'. I do not need a new act of violence to remind me how to speak or act decent to another american. If you're a young person listening to this for the first time, unfortunately you will experience in your lifetime a great many let downs of people in society who act out in total menace. It will happen again and again. There is no reason. There is no rationalism.

  • Greatest speech ever! With the Tucson shootings, we see that violence is still a problem is this country. Everyone needs to listen to this speech!

  • Boy, we could of used this speech before the recent shootings in Tuscon.

  • Ban comic sans! Most inappropriate font ever.

  • rfk is my new hero- Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital, quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.- this is how I feel

  • @chwisch87 Where was her security detail? I think her "assassination" was ALLOWED to happen...either that or her security detail is slightly below Three Stooges in terms of quality/competence!

  • That is a beautiful piece of music - what is it?

  • @KnitsWithDogz The Music comes from the film Bobby, which was about the day Bobby was shot. It ends with this speech and music.

  • @Rogue9a Thanks!

  • Epic. Just......epic.

  • I only wish I could have only been there to see this speech. He speaks with such eloquence I can only imagine how compelling it must have been to see in person. - Born 27 years, 8 months, and 4 days to late.

  • "And only a cleansing of our whole society can remove this sickness from our souls"How will America go down in the history books? A nation for the people by the people...... destroyed by the people? We need not to look to our leaders but gain strength from one another and begin a new age. A mental Revolution is needed, one so drastic that all who see will bow down with respect. Changing the hearts and minds of the people will bring a new idea of freedom. Where to begin? People help me Think.

  • I don't care what people say negative about the Kennedy's and their personal lives, however I respect their complete family and their beliefs and opinions about how to run the USA!

  • RFK was shot in the chest. Sirhan was standing behind RFK. Yep, i guess it must have been Sirhan. God bless America!

  • @Anon371 The Mothership is calling you...

  • @billy8686 lolwut

  • @Anon371 shot behind the ear; standing in front of him

  • He was a great man. A man ahead of it's time .

  • @luciannastase ahead of his time

  • it is one of the greatest speeches ever written, and so heart felt, you can hear the pain in his voice. this speech is so true, and gives one reason to pause.

  • This speech is one of the greatest in my opinion. It speaks to every country, every city, every person in the world. Its relevant not only to 1968 but to any time in human history and I fear that it will still be relevant 100 years from now. The human race disgusts me sometimes but Robert Kennedy and men like him are the reason that I have hope we will stop killing each other and end the violence.

  • 31 people fulfill this speech

  • O Mundo precisa de homens como esse.

  • every school child should memories this speech and practice what is says.

  • in a word...astonshing.......and as relevant today as it was when bobby said these words over 40 years ago!!!!

  • lol every one over looks the biggest events and assionations in history by asking who when n where but never WHY, JFK was killed after speaking out agenst secret scocitys, i finde it funny that 2pac malcom x and a few others were killed after talkin out agenst the secret scocitys... RFK was killed for wanting to carry out his brothers plans to expose and combat the secret scocitys

  • @donkeydik7 I also find it interesting that all 3 K's didn't want Vietnam to happen and started to speak about that and were killed shortly after. Why did the government kill these men that didn't want war but peace? Where is the joy and thrill of spending tax payers money for an unnecessary war and unnecessary deaths?

  • 5:20 that is so beautiful. i love my brothers N sisters. black, white, green,i dont give a damn lol peace to all of you. tweezee luv's ya =)

  • America would be a fair and just country if Robert and John F Kennedy were to have lived out their lives.

  • poor guy, he was killed for his wonderful spirit.

  • Compare the speeches by the Kennedy brothers (JFK and RFK) to those by Bush.

  • i miss him so

  • So sad to think that two months later he was a victim of "mindless violence." When we will become the nation that he and his brother wanted us to be?

  • we need someone like him.

  • For one...RK was killed by a Arab for the same reasons other Arabs want to kill us. Cause the US supports Israel. One other thing....cause I see these democratic pics being shown. Bobby and John were conservatives. It was after the assassination of JFK the democratic party got turned around. Remember the famous speech by JFK when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country!" That is conservatism not nationalism.

  • This is amazing!!!! Our country would be in such better shape if he had lived!

  • Comment removed

  • Could you imagine if he wouldn't have been shot? No nixon No watergate We would have gotten out of vietnam around 69' Healthcare?

  • Robert F. Kennedy has inspired me to become a journalist. He will always carry that beacon of hope for all mankind! He embodies the dream of peace, hope, and compassion. So let us all learn from his spirit, his integrity, and his trust in God!!

  • WHY? I wish I could go back in time to that day at the Ambassador Hotel in L.A. and stop what pulled the rug out of our hopes and dreams for a better world for us and our children. Bobby Kennedy would have made that difference. He had a vision and a plan that his brother Jack wasn't able to fulfill. I pray that someday after I die that I will be able to meet him and let him know that I believed in him.

  • The speech as you you hear it here actually does not exist. This is an edited version of a longer speech. I'm guessing it might be the speech he made in Phili. If you search it can be found. Edited or not edited this is one of the great speeches in American history.

  • is there a video of RFK reading the speech... without all the imagery. Just him reading it.

  • The Kennedy brothers were a gift from god for us, but they were taken away from the people because they would of made this world a peaceful place. We need to understand that the world is run by evil people therefore we must respect one another and show love, as a muslim I respect and honour these two special individuals and pray to Allah for their mercy.. Peace and love my brothers and sisters

  • Why do people insist on bringing Obama or Bush into this? It isn't about that, its about one man addressing the horrible moral issues that our country has to deal with. The day Bobby Kennedy was shot was the day America started rotting within.

  • 1:26 "No one can be certain who next will suffer from some senseless act of bloodshed, and yet it goes on and on and on in this country of ours." Chilling to think that it would be him only two months later. Awful times.

  • @hapjang1956 Nicely stated!

  • too political of a view- make it more neutral

  • @thecritiqu how so?

  • The sound of his voice is so calming, despite the violence he speaks about. He is so sincere.

  • This video is a fantastic tribute, brilliantly made in simplicity that should be counted as a National Treasure. Today, the world's youth have built their homes in You-Tube, and guardians who work to protect the future need the help of the past. We are too few, but you condense time, our numbers increase, and the ripple must go on.

  • @pmb77 That is the single greatest thing that I have ever heard in my entire existence...thank you.

  • @ahsasv18 his words are so true and so relevant still, i'm really stunned

  • Well done,I like how you mixed new and old images and then the pics of beautiful people and families at the end, pictures of america and then Bobby at the end. Bobby was a good and decent man,his loss will be felt for all eternity. I'm am afraid each day that with who we now have in power that all is lost for this country.

  • sleep in peace , great man of all the human life. Loves and Respects from an Iranian , Mr , Kennedy

  • Beautiful speech and music as the back drop of what I characterize as another form of racism. Apparently, nobody is a racist......oh yes, unless they're the evil white people. My best friend in Cincinnati, OH is BLACK and I'm WHITE. The writing serves to show the white area for letters, and the letters themselves black as interdependent HUMANS that need to stop calling each other "the problem".

  • @McOmemane that's an easy statistic to make 3.75 of the population care about their brother!

  • Bobby was a political genius. Though he's speaking from his heart in this one. Great vid unfortunate that Obama is at the end because he has proven himself to be one of the worse presidents we have ever had.

  • @jerseyirish Dont want to be rude here but shut your mouth. Your an idiot for even thinking that.

  • @RX7LordDrifta Don't need to shut my mouth. I stated my opinion and I'll state it anytime I feel. Don't like it? Tough. DEAL WITH IT.
