  • My sister gets like that when she has too much sugar

  • So True, but I love both of them. Also, it seem that each voice actress brings a different personality to Serena.

  • Lol well the english version was meant to target a younger age group (5-8 year olds I'd say)then the Japanese version which was meant to target Japanese girls around 14 and older so saying 'juice' in the english version makes more sense and when I was that age I loved Sailor Moon. It's only now looking back that I realize just how corny the english version is... The Japanese is much better in my opinion nowadays :P

  • Sry but the German dub is even more better.

  • my fav was japenese she drunk omg lol!!!!!!!

  • @alana43b It would also explain why Neflite drank 'lemonade' and Dimand was drinking ... grape juice :) But WTF is a Neflite? Please don't reply back to me with the 'L' vs 'r' explanations because I understand that.

  • Ich fand japanisch auf jeden fall besser! Ich mag die englische Version irgendwie eh nicht ihre Stimme hört sich so komisch an und die Namen in der japanischen Version find ich auch besser.

  • the Jamba Juice HAHAHA it's a win win Adults know that jamba Juice isn't all juice but kids don't know whats in it HAHAHA

  • Definitely Japanese!!!

  • she's been hanging around artimus for too long

  • In my opinion, JAPANESE is way better (no offence) since its hilarious and its the real one...

  • @PurpleSailor220 The true answer lies in the beginning of your response.Since it's basically a question of opinion.

  • Japanese ^^

  • @wiiplayer9isback

hell, I don't think they would even be able to do her being drunk in japan these days either.

  • Watching this a second time, I think the worst part of this comparison vid is that the author cut it before she pukes over the balcony. That was such a classic moment.

  • The problem with the dub is they americanized it they insulted Japan as much as they could with their changes

  • @CybellaN America didn't dub the series....

  • I think there both funny

  • I like japanese version better.

In English one Usagi chan sounds like an old hag - and she's teenager. :/

  • I really don't care if it's the original or the dubbed because no anime I have watched yet can beat Sailor Moon, Serena/Usagi is the funniest anime character ever created! All those that agree, thumbs up!

  • THE ENGLISH VERSION OF SAILOR MOON IS BAD DARION DOSENT LOVE HER D< in the other version they are together even in death :3

  • See you again! I won't give you anything! xD Too funny!

  • well, Linda Ballantyne (Serena's voice in NA) totally made it awkward, although she kinda kept to what the Japanese version said about the Pudding of Relativity... either way, I had to laugh...although the sub was funnier...NICE TO MEET YOU CREAM STEW...

  • JAPANESE

  • I really feel bad for Sailor Moon. It was one of the first anime to come from Japan and like Tokyo Mew Mew in mid 2000 was scooped up by a crappy dub company that Americanized it beyond recognition. If it was re-dubbed today hopefully they'd have a better company and a better voice cast. Of course they'd still have to fix a few things (IE FishEye, Zoicite, Kunzite) to air it on US or Canadian TV or air it at night, but it would get treated a little better

  • @Cerridwen247 Apparently you've never watched Sailor Stars. Good luck ever seeing the 5th Season brought to US shores and dubbed appropriately.

  • @ShoeUnited On the contrary. I've watched the entire season of Stars I know about the Starlights male into female when they really were female thing. One thing I didn't get is why TOEI didn't stick to the manga and keep them female? If it can't be shown on TV then at least give it to a dubbing company who'll release a better dub on dvd w/ a dual language track. Then they could do the 5th season without having parents freak out. Although that Star Gentle Uterus eew

  • @Cerridwen247 Hey now! Star Gentle Uterus was equally hilarious and awesome. You just can't cut things like that without anesthesia.

  • @ShoeUnited I agree, all three of the Star Lights had very interesting attacks.

  • @Cerridwen247 It wasn't "Americanized" as it was never dubbed by American companies. Both DiC and Cloverwei were Canadian dubbing companies.

  • @Dragoon11792 That's good. So Canada can take the blame for screwing up Sailor Moon instead of The US. Did you really comment on all these people just to prove it's not just American companies who screw up Japanese cartoons? You really need a life.

  • @Cerridwen247 I'm tired of people saying America always screws up dubs. Does Canada always screw up dubs? Of course not, Ocean does absolutely amazing dubs. If people are going to go around blaming a country for it though, they need to at least get the right one.

  • @Dragoon11792 You do realize that they don't necessarily use Canadian voice actors right? Cinelume is a Canadian company as well and they did the English dub for the first original 4 seasons of Winx Club and their VAs are horrid! 4Kids is a nearly bankrupt US Company that also breaks contracts.

  • @Cerridwen247 The actors don't change what country did the dub. I don't blame any country for ruining the dub, that's just ridiculous. The country can't help what was considered acceptable at the time. I'm just saying, if you are going to be the type to blame a country for doing a bad dub, get the right country. DiC sucked, but Ocean is good, so you can't say Canadian dubs all suck. 4kids is shit, but FUNi is good, so you can't say American dubs all suck either.

  • @Dragoon11792 The term face palm was created for people like you wasn't it? No one's saying that all Canadian or US dub companies are bad. The term 'Amerianization' relates to anything that has been changed so that American and CANADIAN (because a lot of US stations and shows also air in Canada) veiwers can relate to the show. The term also refers to anything that has been changed to reflect a more American veiw point.

  • @Cerridwen247 HA! That's the funniest thing I've read all day. I believe the term you're thinking of is "westernized." By saying shows are ruined by americanized dubbing, that is heavily implying american companies are bad.

  • @Dragoon11792 This coming from the wanker Kvetching about someone saying it was Americanized. Nice one plonker

  • @Cerridwen247 The show was airing in Canada for a few years before Cartoon Network got the rights to even show it in America btw. It wasn't originally made with the intention of airing in America. Canadian shows don't usually air in the US, some do, but very few, so if that's your excuse for putting the wrong country, the term "canadianized" would have fit better, although still the wrong term. Either way, the dub was bad. Don't place any country's name on that though.

  • @Dragoon11792 seriously you are starting a fight about wording? Get a damn life. No one really cares where DiC and CWi are from.

  • @Cerridwen247 I wasn't starting a fight, just pointing out that there is a difference in what those words mean. People apparently do care, because they all the time blame America for something that isn't it's fault. It isn't any country's fault, but especially not America. Somebody doesn't like being wrong do they? ^.^

  • @Dragoon11792 You do realize there is a difference between Westernization and Americanization right? Because Western nations all have different customs and cultures

  • @Cerridwen247 I do realize this, that was my point. Sailor Moon was not Americanized, it was westernized. Western cultures were what influenced the dub, not American. I grew up during the time that was influencing Sailor Moon, and I can assure you, it wasn't American customs alone, it was all of western customs, which in general aren't that different, as they derive from the same original influence.

  • The English Sailor Moon sounds like a posh Gertrude when drunk.

  • oh MAAAAMOCHAAAAAN?!

  • english STINKS SO MUCH i love the japenese cuz she doesnt sound like a retard and in the english they totally cut out the words and mix them around

  • J A P A N S E O N L Y

i want to hear how its sound in heberw

  • GO USAGI!!! usagi had a more kawaii voice plus luna didnt sound like an old english lady

  • JAPANESE ALL THE WAY!!!

  • i so agree with darien"huh?" i'd say she's drunk

  • NICE TO MEET YOU, CREAM STEW.

  • I facepalmed during this.....SAILOR MOON WHY?! Don't drink! You can make a fool of yourself without help.....I'm a fan, I know....

  • Japanese Forever!!! xD

  • @bulma6781 episode 108 for both versions

  • "Oh, and if you forget the whipped cream, your no good as a woman, yeah"

  • Everyone knows (and this isn't a joke), Serena and Usagi are two TOTALLY different people.

  • @SailorMikuMoon I deny that. They're very similar.. the only difference you could suppose would be in your preference.

  • @SailorMikuMoon yes but they are both funny :D

  • SEE YOU AGAIN! I won't give you anything!

    LOL

  • They're both good. But you just can't beat the original.

  • Hey, did anyone catch some film on her drinking the magic juice?! Lol

  • Japanese wins in my book.

  • Japanese version FTW!! Go Japanese SM!!

  • I can't stand english Usagi voice...it's just unnatural... :( but don't feel bad! my country had even worse dub :)

  • everyone stop hating on the dub b happy we hav a dub show i dont care how each one is i love Sailor Moon no matter wut

  • @wiiplayer9isback maybe they should of dubbed sailor moon right, and not aim it towards children.

  • i say both.

  • I like both! :) lmao! there both hilarious! What episode is this scene from?

  • LOL !

  • LOL what the heck is juice gonna do to you? Japanese way better! x3

  • the japanese is asome!!!!!! XD

My grand mother are not good at be drunk like her XD

  • I recall a yugioh episode in which Pegasus was drinking out of a wine glass, and he called it his "finest juice", but in the movie they allowed him to admit that it was wine.

  • I don't know why people keep complaining about people hating the English dub. It being "aimed towards younger kids" isn't an excuse because the original wasn't aimed towards little kids to begin with. But I am kinda grateful that this was dubbed. Without the shitty dub I never would've heard of this show. :P

  • I think the Jap version is better, harder to follow sometimes with the reading and trying to watch but they changed too much when they dubbed it...not too too much in this scene but throughout the entire series...they sugarcoat a lot of the things in the dubbed...it's pretty disappointing...but it was cool to see them side by side so to speak...sometimes I forget how different they are

  • The japanese one is better by so!! Much mamochans faces = LMFAO XDDDD

  • English one-I really laughed! Epic win!

Japanese one-God how it sucked!!! It did'nt even make me crack a smile, and the sexist remark about "being no good as a woman" was mean spirited and uncalled for.Epic failJapanese version.

  • @strangekid901 Actually, by this point, it was Cloverway, Toei's North American arm, that screwed this up.

  • shes drunk not she has too much juice if they say shes hyper then we would undestand it more

  • @98Dia

Juice is also slang for alcohol.

So they actually managed to pull off a pun. :)

  • if u pause it at 1:52 mamochan face

  • I hate the English dub, but some of what Serena said made me smile. Smile, but not laugh.

  • the jap is way better for starters with the english one *the voice sounds like an old women *how the hell do u get like when u drink too much juice *it sucks and how can that make darien have a surprised look its not funny with the jap one *the vioces are way better *its funnier *she was an idiot LOL and i wouldnt blame mamoru having a surprised look but if any companie should dubb this its funimation
  • "Oh, If you forget the whipped cream, you're no good as a woman. Yeah."

    Usagi FTW. =D

  • I think the English Dub is funnier than the Japanese Subs

  • the Japanese version is way funner

  • The awfulness that is the English version of Sailor Moon makes me want to cry.

  • japanese is totally funny and omg i love it when usagi's drunk. The english was alright, but i kinda stopped watching the s series after they changed usagi's voice!

  • JAPANESE of course!! i agree with sailorsmula! i hate serenas voice why couldnt it be like the others a girl voice not a freakin 50 yr olds voice! i liked wen usagi said NICE TO MEET YOU CREAM STEW hahaha lmfao XD

  • I like what she was saying in the English version when she was shaking the guy's hand though, lol.

  • @wiiplayer9isback it's stupid that's why america should only dud anime that's actual for children this show's amied at teen's the us shouldent dud anime period!

  • @DemonicMonkey88 ....what? Anyway, that's not important. The US never dubbed Sailor Moon. Canada got that one.

  • Japanese version. Its better.@sailorsmula,I agree with you,"serena" have old lady voice.

  • the english version sucks BECAUSE it was aimed at small american children. the japanese version was also aimed at a younger audience, but because of their culture, jap children aren't as "shielded" or "protected" from such things (like a drunk Usagi) like american children. our culture kinda sucks :/

  • @cookiemaniac14 tell me about it. That's why i like the japanese culture better!

  • i think in the english version serena's just on the ultimate of sugar highs, but what kind of juice would make her act like that?

  • the jap one soundz like shes 12 xD

  • @Brandocore

    Well she's in middle school.

  • @Brandocore she is 12 or 13 she's about 15 or 16 in sailor stars so ya?

  • @DemonicMonkey88 she's actually 13 in the first and second season of sailor moon. Then she turned 16 in the stars season which is the final season of sailor moon.

  • japanese is much better!

  • I prefer Japanese xD It's funnier than the English version ^^

  • Japenise is much better ! What ep is the English version from ?

  • @11gothgirl episode 108 in sailor moon s.

  • The Japanese is way better.

  • My sister gets like that when she's high on Sugar. She starts splurting nonesense

  • japanese is more funnier XD

  • I like japanese more better

  • @wiiplayer9isback what I am pointing out in this video is the quality of acting and dialogue. I think the Sailor Moon dub has gotten the short end of the stick compared to "Dragonball Z" "Inuyasha" and "Tenchi Muyo". In my Prizma vs. Petz video, I liked Prizma's as much as I liked Petz.

  • @originalvsdub Yeah, I thought the juice thing was actually a clever way of censoring it, given Usagi herself thought it was juice. I agree, though, the quality of the voice acting leaves alot to be desired. Hope that rumor about the license reopening in the US is true and Funimation gets it. Even if they called it juice again, atleast the scene will be alot better.

  • Both were equally funny. ^^

  • japanese she all like " SEE YOU AGAIN I WONT GIVE YOU ANYTHING!!!

  • The english one sucks.

    "serena" have old lady voice.

    Go japanese sailor moon!

  • @sailorsmula Lol, purists. Only the English one is funny.

  • Agreed, Japanese version, no contest.

  • Japanese is ALWAYS better!!

  • "If you forget the whipped cream, you're no good as a woman"

??? I really hope that Japan doesn't actually have these sexist attitudes.

  • i like the japanese one.

    :p

  • DUH! It's obvious which one is better :p

  • the english dubs makes me cringe. I think their english voices are not compatible at all with the character itself.

  • THE DRUNK CLIP WAS 10x BETTER

  • lol "sweet souffle omelette!"

  • Again, the English SUCKS! I dunno what you are all talking about 'the English is better'. Dubbers like Dic and 4Kids RAPE perfectly good Japanese cartoons with their 'Americanized' 'child appropriate' sh*t!

  • Comment removed

  • @Kumori90 leave 4kids alone they helped me o to the rode to anime

  • @ErinLovegood Yeah, and look at Pokemon and Yugioh now. They are real jokes.

  • @Kumori90 DiC was Canadian, not American...just saying.

  • Dude, what the f*ck is up with Serena's (dub) voice? She didn't have a s*itty British accent in the first series. This is why I never watch dubs...

  • what episode?

  • shes a teen not mrs. wake man

  • I think the japanese version is better

  • which is better? gee i dont know? the one i can understand. and its not the english version.

  • Nice to meet you, cream stew! Definately Japanese!

  • Do not worry, big bowl of curry!

  • It's a draw. The original Japanese was funny while the English dub was equally funny... despite Linda's voice of Serena sounding like a not yet sober Sailor Scout.

  • I like the Japanese verison better....it sounds better haha....also it makes more sense

  • For some strange reason, Serena (English dub) makes me think of Mlaatr's Mrs. Nora Wakeman (Jenny's Mom).

The english dub still made me smile!

  • japanese

  • English. I go for English because it`s so funny

Don`t like Japanese I just HATE the language

  • japannesse is better for me

  • I think both are really funny.

  • Lol this scene is hilarious. Ami mustve been referring to what Michael Jackson called "Jesus Juice." lol. I think the English version she comes off as even more drunk...

Both are funny but for once, the dub is funnier...

  • i <3 the drunk scene in both versions, i cant decide lol

  • lol
