How come KITT's lite scanner is not as brite as KARR's?

@mandymoorefanatic Because KARR is using 55 watt halogen bulbs, Kitt is using adjustable 35 watt break light bulbs. I don't use 55s in Kitt because it's too much of a drain on his battery. His current setup can allow the scanner to be ran much longer without killing the power. Plus, Karr's lens on his scanner is much more transparent then Kitt's red acrylic lens. :-)

@riusu23 The sad thing is, when KARR came back in season three of Knight Rider, I guess Peter Cullen didn't want to do it anymore, or just couldn't. In the episode, "KITT VS KARR" the voice of Karr was done by Paul Freese. Was a very good voice for him....but he wasn't Peter Cullen. :-) Ironically, the new 2008 Knight Rider series used Peter Cullen's voice again for Karr when they brought him back at the end of the series.

But I´ve always wondered whether after installing so many sophisticated, ultra-innovative, super-cool and mega-secret systems they have forgotten to add both to KITT and KARR something as basic and common such as... the turning signals. I think that I´ve never seen them flashing.

Search this channel for the Christmas Parade videos and you'll see they are functional. :-) Just in a much better location than the stock Trans Am. :-) Being how you don't see them, or can't readily identify them......that's good. We hid them well. LoL

As far as I can recall, the first one was overall black just like KITT, while the second had it´s lower half painted in silver or light grey... I forgot to say it before but, awesome video! Congrats! I find KITT´s instrument pannel here more gleamy and shiny than in the TV series, but why can´t we see KARR´s instrument pannel as well? :)

When he came back in season 3, they changed his paint style slightly to give him a distinction between Kitt....at least, on the outside. :-) Thanks for the nice words too....and as far as you not seeing Karr's dash in the video, that's cause it's laying in pieces on my garage floor waiting to be assembled. LoL

@ambspier They aren't specifically made to fit the curvature of the tail light assemblies in the later 90s model third gen Firebirds. However, I have sold a few to folks with those styles, and they continue to this day to use them. But I can tell you this...mine fit great over the flat style tail light assemblies from the early 80s and up models. :-)

@richarded22 The Kitt car (Red Scanner and Full Dash Model) is mine, and the one primarily featured here on my Youtube channel....."Karr" belongs to a very good friend and is slowly getting converted into a full blown conversion. His yellow scanner was a recent upgrade that replaced the old one on him. :-)
