  • h has done Pseudo Silk Kimono, Kayleigh and Lavender to be fair so he has covered this, just not all at once, and he doesn't do a bad job, great as he is, it's worth remembering even Fish wouldn't sound much like this nowadays.

  • Leggenda.

  • Fish is the best!

  • What a legend Fish is, what a band they were, so special.

  • quite rightly, h has never dared cover this. The song that guides my through this vale of tears.

  • Real, beautity, old music, not present shit.

Love to Fish from old polish fan. :)

  • Misplaced childhood. The best album of the last century.

  • This is the original recording from the album. You can tell from the singing, it doesn't fluctuate like live singing does because it was recorded in a soundproof booth. Top of the pops never used live equipment either.

  • Beast of the best.

  • This is not a concert. Is a TV show. Playback.

  • lip syncing sure did look like it...

  • DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.

  • Chingao, qué grande era Marillion con Fish!

  • LOL at the audience trying to clap along to the oddly syncopated rhythm in kayleigh

  • or at home with headphones!

  • playback

  • @mikunitmr, this shows you just how good this band is :-)

  • J'ai vu ce show mais à québec et montreal...Isaw this show but IN QUEBEC CITY..and Montreal......wow que de souvenir....

  • I would love to have the entire concert on video. It was so great!

  • Is this lip-sync? It sounds perfectly same to original studio album…

  • @mikunitmr Yep.

  • Marillion en playback, je refuse d'y croire !

  • Marillion en playback, je refuse d'y croire !

  • I love Marillion, BUT it's playback :o))))

  • @market0square0hero Are you sure ?

  • Best f*cking prog album of the 80's. A massive masterpiece.

  • How come they lip-synched in Montreux?

  • Fish is from Dalkeith in the Midlothian!!

  • @cougarsjraaa ù

    scotland?

  • do you like fish sticks?

  • The song from my childhood. :D

  • THIS L.P IS STILL A CLASSIC U.K FAN HERE GOD BLESS YOU ALL MY MISPLACED FRIENDS

  • Thanks for sharing this incredible video. Oh man, those were such good times..

  • good Fish

  • FISH for EVER... Love you

  • Marillion = Fans of Peter Gabriel & Genesis

  • @jarcor0720

is very wrong and shallow to compare Marillion to the Genesis ... imo. MArrillion's had a musical romanticism and poetry that Genesis never had

SSSEEHR

  • the cheering is really annoying, otherwise this would have been a great recording :(

  • @Jyotirveda2

It IS a great recording, they're playbacking to the recording on the album ... I don't think I've ever seen them do playback before.

  • Thanks for the great time, I will preserve the music in my heart

  • quanti ricordi indimenticabili

  • Beautiful song. Unfortunately this performance is in playback.

  • Yes Guntharwest i was 1 with a walkman and the cassette in was this 1

  • How many can remember listening to this on a cassette on their walkman when it came out ??:-)

  • @GuntharWest: Me for example - until the cassette glew

  • @GuntharWest

i can gunthar, so many times all my pocket money went on batteries. i actually met Fish and got a photo taken with him in 1993 one of my prized memories

  • @GuntharWest I do!

  • @GuntharWest You listened to this album on Marillions walkman ?

  • Thanks Fish

  • They are really good at lip synching. I couldn't tell. The audience cheers at random points and are louder than the band which kind of gives it away.

  • This is my best album ever..

  • those were the 80`s...the times of playback and plastic......

  • those were the 80`s...the times of playback and plastic......

  • Love it :)

  • The only thing 'live' on that video . . . is the audience, . . . the band isn't, . . . nor is 'Fish'!

Still a brilliant band with brilliant songs and an outstanding band history!

  • Superb! Mais le titre est "Kayleigh" ;-)

  • @HousekaterClaudio no my dear... this ist from the album misplaced childhood... the first song is pseudo silk kimano, and then comes Kayleigh...... buy the album my friend..

  • @Zeus97

I brought the album once (long ago :-) O.k., this refers to the album title, sorry. Now i saw the full clip and also Lavender following Kayleigh. Thanks for the info :-)

My favorite song was "Garden Party" in "Script For A Jester's Tear" my first Marillion Vinyl

  • Is this from the Montreux Rose Pop Festival? If it is, they're lip synching.

  • @Kohntarkosz

Kohn/Chirs - is this you making this statement? If so, Damn you, you and your obscure knowledge of all things of this kind - it ruins it dude! ;) Welll I LOVE THIS ANYWAY, got a problem with that?!? Marla xx

  • The Montreux Rose Pop Fest was held every year in the mid 80's, and consisted entirely of whoever the current pop bands that summer lip synching, or at best, singing live to playback (usually meaning only the lead singer is live, everything else is on tape). I remember the year Frankie Goes To Hollywood played, they actually demolished all their gear DURING the song. Funny how the drums kept going even as the drummer was tossing them off the stage! ;)
