I have seen several videos like this but it don't work for me...I have a Mac book pro...latest Safari and mac os...every time I double click it just opens a new window and the video just starts playing again in a tiny window...is there a setting I can change?

When I double click it's called videoplayback.flv and has a flash icon and it opens in flash!?

Right it is just that the video does not start downloading it just opens up in another tab and plays there, so this doesn't work.

For the first way, when i double click the mega byte sized thing in activity it starts downloading a "videoplayback". how do you get it to be mp4 format?

when i click the thing in activity i dont take the biggest but the one with the name of the video?! cause that has to be the right one right? .. anyway when i click it nothing happens... either nothing happens or the activity window closes and nothing happens :S D: maybe im doing the comman d option thing wrong ..... bleeeh .... should i press it before i click the link in activity or the same time, or ........???? and should i press both of them ?? there are two .. aaaah i suck at this computer

@ChIvOxD try this method .There is a safari bookmarklet which you can place in your toolbar, to just click and start the download of the video, when the video is being loaded. It will lead you to a link of mp4 version download.

Add .FLV after the name of the vid then you should be able to open it with FLV Player. But here, you won't get high quality video (not MP4, only FLV).

ok but what if i want it on mp4, because i wanted to open with quick time player not realplayer, i change the name to mp4 but it says it doenst work so i have to change it back to flv...is there a way i could download them on mp4?

I use keepvid And it was very easy!!! BUT im having a problem. The file saves to my hardrive as MP$ and plays perfect BUT it wont let me import it to imovie, or even edit it in Quicktime, I paste a few clips together and it just pastes the youtube link Why is this happening and how do I fix this???

Get Tube does not work.. I've been using it for months, and now it doesn't work at all.. Does anyone know whats wrong with it? I can't seem to find another program that compares to it! :(

I have.. It doesn't seem to matter, its saying that it works, but the downloads finish too quickly and the videos cannot be found on my Mac. I use the Activity method for Safari, and it works fine, but if the videos are sponsored/runned by Vevo, it WILL not let you download it. Unless I'm missing something, which could be possible.

Hey i have my video in hd and evreything is going good. I get the activity window up and when i click the largest file it brings me up back to the safari window with the video and it doesnt appear in my dowloader.

open the page with the video you like.then if fast download is in right way installed then a little green circle with a white arrow down your safari page should be here.click that and and new page will open and then you'll have the opportunity to download this vid as a flv file.
