For the inspired players out there, If your interested in Obtaining the Ice Spear skill, It's still avaliable in the NA Mabinogi, just have an Ice Wand equiped, have the title Noob Elemental Master title showing (Obtained by learning Firebolt Lightningbolt and Icebolt to Rank F) and talk to Stewart using the Skills keyword, but remember to not have any other skill quests in progress!

I don't see why ppl are always limiting dks to be just archers or mages. They make better melée'rs than pally if they have an str roll

Dk's are mainly good if your untouchable. They have tons of hp but lower defense than pally's.

Personally, Holy Knight is sexy, and all dk's are as ugly as shit T^T

I would recomment paladin if your a ranger, and dk is your a mage, if your pure melee, both will work.

@40aldrick Sorry your wrong there Champ. To keep this short Dks have max damage and highest HP. While your Knights in shining armor ( Pally) have Decent HP outstanding Defenses and a load of stamina. So all in all Dk is risk and high reward while Paladin is stable and reliable.

Because honestly, if you only look at the PvP perspective: melee would be the worse type of combat in the game, and I assume that we all know that is far from the case.

@shogungari and frostednightmare: It doesn't matter. PvP is a very weak and unworthy representation of your strength as well as your potential. Just because you lose or win in a PvP usually does not mean you are worse or better than your opponent, respectively.

I advise that you both not be discouraged solely because of your PvP abilities. It is just pointless otherwise.

@shogungari Actully. It only ignores protection for critical chance. Protection and Defence still reduce damage.

And the most effective magic uses require ALOT of money and time. (Such as the time/money to make a fully upgraded phoenix fire wand, or to collect all the pages for ice spear/fireball.)

Even with mana sheild, it uses up precious mana (Which I go through ALOT, yay more money spent on mana pots/herbs)

I've always taken a liking for magic, Ice Spear being my favorite, I can't ever seem to find any pages though except 3 from Mimics.

Also, I know many people already know this but, I think you can only get pages from Ice monsters, like Mimics that give page 3, Mimics are Ice monsters if you didn't know.

Well I decided not to be a mage I am going to be a ranger, but I do ahve a sword and a shield and rank 9 icebolt so I can also fight combat/ice counter style eventually I might get around to raising my combat mastery level since it's the only combat option for elves that doesn't use a ton of ap.

yo. Fuck Ice Spear. Rank 1 Thunder kills. I was in Dunbarton, and killed 16 people at once. I put noob clothes on, and snuck in with a thunder wand into a big mob. I put pvp on and charged it 5 times. Then i shot it at someone in the middle. I was one of the most hated people for a little bit on that channel, and whenever i switched ot it I'd get mobbed by like 20 people. But i have to admit, it was fun.

Maybe like next year when I get bored of range I'll take up magic and I'll learn thunder and lightening ty for your imput cause ice spear is annoying anyway cause you cant shoot shit when it's frozen and I ahte soloing dungeons so lonely :(

To get the title elemental master u must learn all 3 bolt skill: icebolt, firebolt, and lightingbolt.

fast way to learn it is take lasser magic class

Humans may be overpowered in comparison to other races due to select skills (Arrow revolver-elf and Final hit- Giant) But when you think about the dungeons, i think that elves and giants were made too weak for being such a concentrated form of combat. And elf ranged attack needs to be fixd- that whole loading percent and ap thing is wack >_>.
