  • If pearl jam were to enter a time machine and go back to the late 50s through early 70s they would be just as popular if not more....you got my heart PJ

  • Just listen to the percussion from 3:20 to the end...so powerful and amazing.

  • @FixFalcon LISTEN TO THE PERCUSSION FROM 0.00 TO THE END!!

  • @whoneedsposers Yeah...ok fruitcake.

  • Pearl Jam by far my favorite band for 20 years strong now (PJ20) but god do i miss Jack Irons. The power is intense and for my money their best drummer. It's hard(impossible) to rank but this is definetly one of their best song & album , for me as well.

  • 1 person is a lumberjack. >:(

  • This is probably my favorite Pearl Jam song.... No Code was my first rock album I listened to. I got it as a birthday gift for my 12th B-day. It pretty much kicked off my interest in music because I got to see that it wasn't just noise. It released a feeling. Music was more about being the soundtrack to your emotions. Every time I listen to this song it evokes images in my mind and puts a lump in my throat. Love it!

  • and i remember listening to this album religiously in MY 20s :) and then going to a gig in Budapest and feeling like "Im gonna die" when the crowd moved forward at the beginning of the concert and they almost killed me...but it was great. and this is a fantastic album!!!

  • I remember when.....(yeah)

    I swore I knew everything....(oh yeah)

    Let's say knowledge is a tree....(yeah)

it's growing up just like me...(yeah)

  • such a beautiful song

  • amazing song and album

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Virtualizate = ) Eddy

  • Hands down... this is my favorite Pearl Jam album! It's amazing to me that so few people seem to know about it.

  • So weird, cause I associate major life experiences with various PJ albums, but with No Code, all I can think about is Final Fantasy III on the SNES, cause I listened to this album NONSTOP on the headphones whilst completing that game. What a dork. PJ is so awesome.

  • @johnw353588 Cool. Badmotorfinger was the album I was listening to repeately while playing FF3. Then with the first Final Fantasy for nintendo the album was Roll the Bones by Rush.

  • is this a sad song? everytime i hear this song i think and look down

  • @Kakurame I think a lot of pearl jam songs are somewhat downers but very uplifting in a strange way.

  • @kevman5

    Thats it!! Thank you.

  • Such an underrated PJ song. The percussion is superb...the last 30 seconds are awe-inspiring.

  • fuck off mainstream!!!!

    fuck off popular shit!!!!!

    long live The Pearl Jam

  • Love the brakedown in this song.

  • @edammade yes!\

  • es la música de nuestra generación, la generación del vacio existencias y de la soledad, de la genialidad de grupos como Pear Jam que sólo nosotros gustamos tanto porque nosotros vivíamos sus letras

  • have to agree this and yield top class this is proper pj

  • Very deep song.

  • such a good song? its so fucking emotional.

  • UN LUJO

  • I'm Spanish and I listen to Pearl Jam from Ten. Now, I study English and I understand their letters. I really love their songs.. They're simply the best.

    Specifically, this song is incredible.

  • No Code and Yeild is when Pearl Jam hit their stride in my opinion. every song on those albums is epic beyond proportion.

  • Defo their best two albums, thanks in big part to Mr.Jack Irons.

  • I agree! and real fans would too

  • making a pearl jam station on pandora was the best decision i ever made. im finding out about amazing songs by them like this on there

  • @BDS1984 good call

  • This is an amazing song. a long time ago, I gave my sister "apple juice" which was actually hot pickle juice, to get back at her for some juvinile conflict, anyhow... I sat in a tree for half a day, chanting "You cant make me come down!" to my mother haha. This reminds me of that instance. Love it!

  • @rainbowskyz haha, that's a great memory, i got three older sisters i did some shit i should have hid in a tree instead of getting my ass beat

  • @rainbowskyz 3 Days? Humans cant survive 2 days without water.

  • @besterich277 He said for half a day. and humans can survive without water for 4 days.

  • @Ekyvvsaq I watched a science movie, it clearly said 2 days. And im also a biology (We were learning about how humans can survive) student, apologize me for the misreading. But you my friend, are wrong.

  • @besterich277 Well there have been shipwrecked people on islands surviving 4 days, but i dont know maybe they got some from a cactus but Im pretty sure they had no water and people said they beated the biological rules... What movie did you watch? It might be interesting...

  • @Ekyvvsaq Well, it wasnt really a movie, it was a documentary show on that "Explorer" channel, im pretty sure. Though, yeah, sea-water has salt, wich sucks all the water in and doesnt give any to the human. But it is possible to get liquid water from underground and from plants. But WITHOUT ANY water, a human would die in 2 days. With salt water, wich takes even the little liquid you have left, you will die (I bet) in 12-24 hours.

  • can't survive 1 day , without PJ :)

  • This is amazing.

  • The studio album version of this song is always amazing, but I purchased the "Live at the Gorge" album and there is a live version very different from the original I loved. Lets just say it will blow your mind!!!

  • all their songs r better live

  • i don't know, i downloaded two of their live albums off that backspacer album... but maybe it's better when your there :)

  • @AmonTRodgers Live at the show, not on a cd. Go see them you'll know what I mean

  • i remeber this when it came out...listened to it for days

  • Everything after 'ten' had a roughness to it that got in your blood.

After "ten" is when they really came into their own. IMO.

  • but ten is still good.

  • I love this album. Very earthy and real. Wonderfully lost by the mainstream.

  • Indeed, wonderfully.

  • @wainfiggitty

Def my top album from the best band.

Wonderfully lost by the mainstream ..... I like that. : )

    If only more things were?

  • @wainfiggitty 'Earthy' that IS totally the word for it!!! I never thought of that before, but that's a spot-on word for this album!!

  • oh shit .. this bring memories.

  • One of my fav's.

Thanks for posting the studio version.
