If pearl jam were to enter a time machine and go back to the late 50s through early 70s they would be just as popular if not more....you got my heart PJ
Pearl Jam by far my favorite band for 20 years strong now (PJ20) but god do i miss Jack Irons. The power is intense and for my money their best drummer. It's hard(impossible) to rank but this is definetly one of their best song & album , for me as well.
This is probably my favorite Pearl Jam song.... No Code was my first rock album I listened to. I got it as a birthday gift for my 12th B-day. It pretty much kicked off my interest in music because I got to see that it wasn't just noise. It released a feeling. Music was more about being the soundtrack to your emotions. Every time I listen to this song it evokes images in my mind and puts a lump in my throat. Love it!
and i remember listening to this album religiously in MY 20s :) and then going to a gig in Budapest and feeling like "Im gonna die" when the crowd moved forward at the beginning of the concert and they almost killed me...but it was great. and this is a fantastic album!!!
i remember listening to this album religiously in my early 20's while working, over and over again, just a great album love it, cheers to nitro for the upload.
So weird, cause I associate major life experiences with various PJ albums, but with No Code, all I can think about is Final Fantasy III on the SNES, cause I listened to this album NONSTOP on the headphones whilst completing that game. What a dork. PJ is so awesome.
@johnw353588 Cool. Badmotorfinger was the album I was listening to repeately while playing FF3. Then with the first Final Fantasy for nintendo the album was Roll the Bones by Rush.
es la música de nuestra generación, la generación del vacio existencias y de la soledad, de la genialidad de grupos como Pear Jam que sólo nosotros gustamos tanto porque nosotros vivíamos sus letras
I'm Spanish and I listen to Pearl Jam from Ten. Now, I study English and I understand their letters. I really love their songs.. They're simply the best.
This is an amazing song. a long time ago, I gave my sister "apple juice" which was actually hot pickle juice, to get back at her for some juvinile conflict, anyhow... I sat in a tree for half a day, chanting "You cant make me come down!" to my mother haha. This reminds me of that instance. Love it!
@Ekyvvsaq I watched a science movie, it clearly said 2 days. And im also a biology (We were learning about how humans can survive) student, apologize me for the misreading. But you my friend, are wrong.
@besterich277 Well there have been shipwrecked people on islands surviving 4 days, but i dont know maybe they got some from a cactus but Im pretty sure they had no water and people said they beated the biological rules... What movie did you watch? It might be interesting...
@Ekyvvsaq Well, it wasnt really a movie, it was a documentary show on that "Explorer" channel, im pretty sure. Though, yeah, sea-water has salt, wich sucks all the water in and doesnt give any to the human. But it is possible to get liquid water from underground and from plants. But WITHOUT ANY water, a human would die in 2 days. With salt water, wich takes even the little liquid you have left, you will die (I bet) in 12-24 hours.
The studio album version of this song is always amazing, but I purchased the "Live at the Gorge" album and there is a live version very different from the original I loved. Lets just say it will blow your mind!!!

@Kakurame I think a lot of pearl jam songs are somewhat downers but very uplifting in a strange way.

After "ten" is when they really came into their own. IMO.
