  • The C&O did a good job at keeping as many of thier 2-8-4's away from the scrapyard! Shame about #2701 though. It was one of the survivors, but it was wrecked so badly that it went to the scrapyard in the 1950's after being on display for a few months.

  • I got up in this engine back in the 80's--my father worked for the state park service and got me inside the fence. It's in a lot better shape today than it was back then.

  • @K4JW I went when there was some kind of open house. Plus there was a big family reunion going on the day I went there. I guess it was just luck since it was my very first time to go there.
