Considering that the resistance to gay marriage is somehow based on the irrational fear that this will somehow affect "us" (the straight people;) it's not difficult to see that most homophobes are just expressing fear but wrapped in the cloth of indignation. Of course I won't deny that extremists like to take words out of context and twist them to their way of thinking. Politicians and world leaders have been doing it for centuries! Anyway, twisting words to make yourself feel more comfortable about immoral behaviour won't silence God's people. My original question still stands; IF "time" is going to "silence" God's people, why are we still here? Many centuries have passed since the time of the Romans and yet nothing has silenced us.

If "time" is going to "silence" God's people, why hasn't it done so already? For thousands of years we've listened to the same old lines and we're still here and very much alive.
