  • beautiful dog. best breed, PERIOD.

  • Give a Dog some food, It thinks you're God, give a Cat some food, It thinks It's god.

  • Well, I personally think the dog isn't atheist, since you are the superior being in his life to which he dedicates his life serving you. Sounds like a god to me... :-)

  • Actually it is a she, and yes, I am some sort of deity to her. That being said, she is a polytheist because she thinks my wife is some sort of deity too.

  • @baconeater maybe not a deity, but I would assume you and ur wife astablished yourselves as "pack leaders", you as the alpha-male and ur wife as the alpha-female. And in K9 society what ever the alpha's say goes.

  • Sounds like someone is being a little bit full of themselves...

More like... alphas. Leaders. Not... Deities.

  • my dog wont do the colour thing right lol how do i get him 2 do it ?

  • You have to be patient. It may take quite a few times. Point at the red ball for example, tell your dog to get the red ball. Do it over and over and over. Then change colors of balls, but keep the red ball in site. It takes time, but it will work.

  • im 10 and i can teach my dog a few things so i will try and teach him some of these tricks

  • Clever girl!

  • From watching this video of your beautiful genius dog, I'm 99.9999% sure she's not an atheist.

  • my collie "Buckley" was a jehovahs witness now thou he has turned to Islam.

  • No way. Border collies are too smart to be JWs and way too smart to become Muslim.

  • what can i say he's dipping his paws in a few pies. Goin door to door annoyed him, He met an afgan hound and was converted.. now he prefers the quran to his ballz.

  • wow... didn't know that dogs can understand human language. amazing border collie. i would like to get one someday.

  • I didn't think dogs could see color? How did you train her to do that?

  • Dogs can differentiate shades.

  • Yeah I shouldn've known that

  • my bc knows several toys by name and several ppl as well they are amazing friends

  • This is a great video. Our Border Collie is the same way. She memorizes words that you can then put into phrases- this it gives everyone the sense that she completely understands what you are asking. So in this video the dog clearly understands tv, living room, and chair. Ours understands really random words like brush, ceiling fan, door, and "Go Kiss". Such amazing dogs!

  • i love my nellie more than anything in the world, but i have to admit that your daisy is far smarter. well done, dais!

  • thats the most chill border collie ive ever seen, there usually like crack heads

  • I'm puzzled about what in this video is atheist related?

  • I'm an atheist. Daisy is really an agnostic.

  • stunning dog

  • The pleasures of a real working-dog; typical dog owners will never know them...

  • brilliant.. very impressive. I babysit my brother border collie on occasion and she's quite intense. My understanding - so far as dog breeds go, border collies wind for IQ and are the easiest to train (but they need to be busy). I also have a Borzoi who really almost refuses to learn anything (But shes very sweet and smiles a lot)

  • They are supposedly the smartest dog breed in the world.

  • what in the video makes this dog an atheist?!

  • I'm an atheist, so I'm assuming that my dog is one too.

Seriously though, all animals have zero knowledge of God and live their life with purpose.

  • Or do they? :]

  • (cont.) If you are considering a BC, *please* talk to folks who have and live with them, and talk to folks who do rescue (even if you want a pup) and not just someone who has had experience with one BC or who is themselves trying to sell you a puppy. They are one of the most challenging breeds to happily and safely own. Think of them as taking on another part-time job--do you have the time and energy for that?

  • I am a professional trainer and quite active in Border Collie rescue. A "smart" does not necessarily equal an "easy" dog. Too many folks get them thinking that they'll be perfect right out of the box, but those Border Collie brains are working in overdrive *all* of the time, and they just as easily learn "bad" things as they do "good" things.

  • got one myself smart as a whip!

  • No, a border collie needs to be in a home where there is at least one person home most of the time.

I hear they do all kinds of nutty things if they are left alone for long periods frequently.

  • I absolutely LOVE border collies. They are so smart and adorable. I have a question, though. I've been looking up info for border collies for a while and the sources I have used say they need to be active a lot. Let's say I wanted a border collie but knew I wouldn't be around enough to let it out so it can run and stuff- should I not bother getting a border collie?

  • Thats Amazing! Thank You!

  • Border Collies are pretty easy to train. When it comes to taking commands, they are the geniuses of the doggy world.

It takes less repetitions for a BC to learn a command than any other breed of dog.

  • I love your dog. She is so smart. Did you train her?

I was very impressed. My dogs only seem to want to understand the words - food, bones, outside or car ride.

  • Border Collies are easily the smartest dogs, my friend has one that like just about does a full out ball room dance with you
