MOBIL1 makes motor oil. All cars need oil to lubricate parts and keep them moving. Hybrids might even need more oil because they are powered buy a generator which uses movement to produce electricity, right? So if there's more movement involved, then you need more motor oil. They might make some money!

Electric engine has been around for hundreds of years... it easy to make it more powerful and combine it to existing engine technoloy. end of the day it's cheaper and cleaner and more powerful to build and operate.
