The star of The Warrior is going to have a fight to the end with the star of The Fighter later this year. Judging by the level of Hardys hardness (forgive the pun) its gona be a hell of a fight, can't wait!!!!!!!
I love the experts on here. As someone who has trained in Muay Thai for over 15 years, Krav Maga for 8 years and has a rather impressive ground game between wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu -- I've been in the cage. Joel Edgerton (Brendan) was the most realistic character/fighter in the entire movie. Koba and Tommy were the least, although I loved Tommy. I've sparred Strikeforce heavyweights quite a few times and found the entire film to be unrealistic outside of Brendan. Fun to watch, great ending.
@Alki46D I too train in muay thai and jiu jitsu and i agree with the fighters being unrealistic but the problem with that is people don't understand how hard this really is and if things aren't like it was in the movie then the audience would get bored and the movie would get much worse reviews and worst of all, wouldn't of made as much money

This movie is so good. The fights are even better with the sound and the camera changes to all the people that are affected by the fight. Sooo good. Best sound when tommy comes out swinging in the final fight. Its like "bass bass bass boom"
@martar49 except he didn't have a choke. he had an omoplata, and broke his shoulder. usually someone would submit to the omoplata, it hurts like a bitch. it would have been a hell of a lot more work to work from an omoplata to a choke.

All the way at the end, i thought tommy wasnt goint to tap out but then get himself killed because he wouldnt give in at the end. it would have been a more dramatic ending if that would have happened, but in movies today there always has to be a happy ending, but that isnt always the best
@catatart having tom hardy's character die wouldn't be a good ending (plus you can't actaully die by a rear naked choke hold). It was about triumpth and how tommy forgave his brother for ditching out on them when they truely needed him.
I'm upset Tommy lost. Besides, they never told us what happened with the money. Did Brendan give some to the familly Tommy was trying to help? I think Tommy deserved the money more. The woman it was going to was a widow with two or three kids and who is trying to support them single handedly.

It is predictable given Brendon's character,love for his brother and guilt for walking away from the family in time of need; that he probably would have shared his winnings. If tommy wouldn't have won, it wouldn't be the same. The movie isn't about the fight. It is about how a fight brought an estranged family back together.
@OngBak56 No, brendon's win was the only way everyone would live a better life. The brothers reunite, Brendon pays off his debts and maybe Brendon's love for his brother even made him share his winnings.
