@Cozycriter I'm fine, thanks ... You? Yeah !!!! I have sweet memories about this song .. It was the B-side from "Yesterday"....released by Parlophone as a single in the UK 1976.. I bought as a teenager!! Cover image was little bit "wrong"..Beatles during 1968! :D CHEERS!
@gdosic I'm okay, thank you. Interesting about the UK release of this song so many years after its recording. In the States, "ISHKB" was the B side to "A Hard Day's Night" and was released on Capitol in '64, which makes sense. The picture sleeve not "marrying" to the song, I don't get, either, but I'm sure stranger things have been done in music. ;-) Take care, hon'!
@Cozycriter Hi mate.I`m a little upset? After looking at my northernsongs thing and answering a couple of people. This don`t help! Talk to you tomorrow.Great stuff.Well done!
@Cozycriter LOL! ever talented, astute.Friggin` hell, talk about giving someone a swollen ego! Stop it now! No really,no really. No I really love it,but no really,no really! Hey mate thanks for the comment on the Stevie Wonder vid.I can just about remember when John died, blanket news and radio coverage.Change of television programming etc. Here they showed The Birth of the Beatles and Help,no mean feat when all we had in the UK was three channels then! It is reminiscent of the JFK factor. Thanks Jo X
@HELTERFUCKINGSKELTER LMAO!! :) As to your vid..It dawned on me that maybe you regretted posting it due to someone's comments when you alluded to "ISHKB" as if chastising yourself. Well..You did a BEAUTIFUL thing, hon'. ANYONE can do what I do---post Beatlemania-era footage of the boys in their prime. It takes COURAGE to post the UGLINESS of John's murder..to remind people of not only WHAT they lost, but WHO they lost. Thank you for ensuring that we NEVER forget. John would be so PROUD. ♥♥♥ xoxo
Yeah if you actually care about the music it`s hard to escape the realization of what happened in 1980.I`d rather celebrate than commemorate John.I never really liked the sympathy vote for tribute vids though I`ve put a few together.I can understand why some fans do it though I feel only if you`re unattached emotionally to the music then go for it,I personally feel that I don`t need to as I`ve nothing to prove to myself.I know that I`m a fan! Before Youtube, and the invention of the internet! xxx
@HELTERFUCKINGSKELTER I personally think you do BOTH, hon'..whether you consciously realize it or not..& I don't feel one's attachment to the music (or lack thereof) has any bearing on one's decision. How about one's *feeling* for the *person* and who he was? I've done a couple of tribute vids for John, myself. It wasn't to prove *anything* to *me* or to *anyone*.It was me *honoring, acknowledging & conveying my love & appreciation for him*. You can be a hardcore fan & do that, hon'. I AM. xoxo
@Cozycriter True Jo but I`ve came across a lot of users who couldn`t give diddly squatt about the lads/John and have uploaded tribute vids.Whether they do it for others, the views whatever.I suppose it`s all good.I know what you mean about my stuff, they`re all bloody tribute vids in a way!
@HELTERFUCKINGSKELTER Aw, sweetie..really?? I never imagined. I mean..it hurts my heart that people could be THAT disingenuous. They don't care about John or the boys; they just PRETEND to for the views?? Sickening. :( I thought you were actually insinuating that ANYONE that did a tribute vid was being disingenuous & felt they had to prove something..so I felt a little hurt and taken aback, to be honest..but now I understand you weren't talking about people like me or YOU..who really care. xo
@Cozycriter Afterall none of us have earned a shilling doin` Beatles stuff or covering them and do it to show our appreciation of their fabulous works. You don`t have to convince me that you`re a fan Jo,the proof is in the proverbial pudding mate. And what a tasty pudding you`ve created here! Have a lovely weekend Jo,you`re a sweetheart :) x
@HELTERFUCKINGSKELTER Look how cute these guys are. The girls probably stopped swooning when they all started looking like variations of Charlie Manson-Yikes! :D
@VoxMax1200 LOL! Whilst the lads were busying themselves in hursuit pursuits....! The girls by that time probably resembled Janis Joplin! No offence Janis! They probably still swooned but with a more layed back, joint toting, paint my tits sorta approach!!! HA!!!!!! HA!! HEAVY MAN!!
Who was the girl in there with them?
pawnansell 2 months ago
@pawnansell I *think* that's Patty Boyd (eventually to become Mrs. Harrison)..but don't quote me on it.
