Only 36,000 British had destroyed an Italian force of 150,000 but as I said, Italian and german reinforcements arrived as the British forces were being diverted to Greece and Crete.

As stated - before lendlease, the US bled the UK dry supplying goods and weapons on a cash and collect basis only.
The US only joined the war after Pearl Harbour and after Germany declared war on the US - else the US would have stayed out of the war - like Sweden.

The war wasn't just over Poland, it was over German plans to conquer all Europe, and Poland was the last straw.
No one expected the Germans to declare war on the US, or the Soviets to take all of eastern Europe.

the reason why they fought bach the brithsh was the surperior tactics and training of the german forces
and acceptable tanks an weapons
take a look at the operating forces
at first only one and a half tank divisions and 2 light divisions on germanys side
and lots of more or less useless italian forces with insufiscient equipment and training
and without transport vehicles for their infantry and guns 0o
