All movements of Moonlight Sonata??? Its a tough song but, it's probably easier to learn on piano. The third movement on guitar would be close to impossible to play.

if you're playing classical, you should use a footrest if you can help it. How to find a good sitting technique is literally by shifting little bits over your practice sessions to where you CAN sit for hours without any strain at all.

Before you go setting up like this, count the number of frets from the Nut to the Body of your guitar. If it has 12 frets, then likely the guitar is balanced like his (The bridge is also closer to the bottom of the Body) and it is meant to be held on your left leg. If you play a "normal" steel stringed guitar, it will have 14 frets from Nut to Body, the bridge will be farther from the base and the guitar will feel more comfortable on your right leg.

No, a western guitar is designed to take the stress of steel strings, nylon strings have a much lower tension so you won't get anything like the full sound. And I guess Vic3D is replying to this and is right, the nut grooves are too narrow for nylon strings.

A used classical can be picked up for peanuts, have a look around and see what you can find, Yamaha made and still makes some great ones, about as good as you'll get for the $.
