Always a pleasure to watch Rob Davies display his Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll". I have seen Rob display the Mustang on numerous occasions at Woodchurch and Duxford, often with Maurice Hammond. Rob often pays a flying visit to Headcorn, which is very near to his strip at Woodchurch. One of Rob's visits may be seen in "Spitfire and Mustangs at Headcorn" on my YouTube Channel "rgnvideo".
Ths is a beautiful mustang, lovingly restored as the mount of Col. John D. Landers, c/o of the 78th Fighter Group from Duxford, England. What a beautiful three point landing. A near twin BBD exists here in the U.S. Thanks for posting.
@TheMrDobbins Thanks for reminding me. I did read that it exists there at the IWM, and just forgot to mention it. Thanks for thinking of it. So, there are really three in the world. What a great tribute to Col. Landers.
This Mustang is stunning , no wonder it is called "Big Beautiful Doll" ;)
