  • I have to use a netutral type grip due to a lot of shoulder injuries but the lower incline 20-40 degreees filled in my upper chest quite well with reps from 8-15.

  • You should try to put together your dumbbells as close as you can at the top; this will give the best workout for the inner pectorals. Also, make sure you breathe out when pressing the weights.

    Yes, it can. I did it alone over the past summer. But remember not to push your limits too hard. Keep in mind you are putting the dumbbell up in the air so if you can't handle the movement...you might fail. It is difficult to cheat without a spotter so you won't be able to get those few extra "bad" reps in either...but it is still worth it.

    It is a great exercise (I now prefer using dumbbells versus single bar) because it really helps build up those stabilizer muscles.

  • @neilp4453 i prefer dumbbells most of the time too cause your using individual strength on each arm.. with a bar, say like your a rightie , your right hand is doing most of the lifting for your left hand..

  • I do 70x2 for incline.. but I don't do no 20-25 reps or however many he did lmao. He can probably dish out 120+x2 easy for 10 or so reps I bet. 10-12 is the best rep range for hypertrophy.
