C.Ronaldo takes too may freekicks. Everytime his team is within 30 yards he goes for goal. And subsuquently his freekick stat is low. He is not above average, he is an average player, he have only three skills: running, jumping and strength. His dribbling and shooting tecnique is very poor. He has no skill for passing and, in the most important matches, he hides instead of pulling his team.

@etplayah thats actually not true. i have a coaching license in football and the man makes a cogent point about qualities of a good freekick. while it may not be bad or good its certainly the difference between quality and mediocre. the powerful kicks might give crowd a sense of amusement when it goes in but it lacks accuracy. 4% success rate is pretty poor to be known as a great freekick taker. messi actually has a higher shot-on-target rate from FKs and he isnt known as a free-kick taker.

C.Ronaldo takes too may freekicks. Everytime his team is within 30 yards he goes for goal. And subsuquently his freekick stat is low. But you can't undermine his ability as a freekick taker as a whole. Regardless, he is still a world class player and freekick taker, whether he often curves it or not.

But, like I said, he takes to many freekicks and shots in general. Around March, when him and Messi had about the same amount of goals in La Liga, he had taken about 100 more shots. 100 more shots, and still had about 1 goal less than Messi.
He needs to look to create more on his freekicks and his play in general...
