@89Djm bettong is look similar to kangarro it Marsupials small like rabbit u can kept it as pet..my friend from Australia told me..i dont know that was bettong i guess a true kangroo, wallaby etc..
no quokkas should stay famous for only being on Rottnest island- at least i think Rottnest is the only home for Quokkas- but anyway we get more tourist attractions with our beloved quokkas.
There are a few remaining populations in the south west of the state. The quokka population on the mainland has dropped due to habitat destruction and introduced pests such as foxes.
Rottnest aint that great a place, last time i went (1997) it was just dirt and rock with a few tree's and this wonderfull ittle animal that hopped around and let you pat it. Other wise its just a hole. ( Fun Fact - Rottnest was originaly called Ratsnest when it was discoverd. )
Shame we can't keep them as pets. Should have marsupials as pets instead of Cats and Dogs.

Does anyone know what noise they make?

Wish they would try and get them to adapt to other environments so we could have quokkas everywhere <3

livingextreme 5 years ago
they are herbivours, mostly grass and some plants. but they will eat bread and rubbish food but its not good for them.
