DRUMMERS: I've been trying to figure out the beat on the original track. The beat sounds like a paradiddle between the hihat and snare whenever the chorus sings "Bring the Lord down, Bring the Lord down..." <---I know that's not the right lyrics it just sounds like it. If I can get someone to clarify that rhythm for me. I fell in love with it. It's syncopated and it can be used on some real funky rhythms.
@prepyprince I researched the Purdie Shuffle and I can see why you think that, but I don't think the rhythm he used was based off the Purdie Shuffle, though. I'm still practicing the rhythm and I think the drummer was basing his rhythm according to whenever the bass drum hit. That's the only logical reason I can think of, but it's definitely not the Purdie Shuffle. I appreciate you bringing up the Purdie Shuffle. I didn't even know it existed and it's highly underrated. Awesome beat bro.
