So I have been using this trick for a while now, and all-of-a-sudden, yesterday, my XBox will no longer recognize my PC. I've restarted the box, my computer, as well as the router, and it still won't find it.

@hellified666 Your Problem is The Wirless Network (Your Router) Cant handle the pressure of keeping everything going like Internet,Phone Lines E.G so what you can do is turn pff you router for i say about 1hr 30 mins and that will give it time to cool down and catch up with what it is doing then it will stay up to date for about 5 to 6 months

I'm not sure WHY people are having trouble with Windows 7. I was about to watch this video, when I figured it out on my own. Control Panel > Network and Internet > View Network Computers and Devices

Find Xbox 360 and right click, and go to Media Sharing Options and allow sharing. Quit your bitching and enjoy.

you CAN do it on windows 7! you need to go to control panel and in the search box type in media. on the first option it will say "media streaming options". your xbox will show up there and it will work after you click allow. thumbs up so the world can see :D

@Stiffoo I had the same problem with mine, I went to media player an allowed my 360 and my 360 wouldn't detect my pc. Until a couple of days later it just showed up all of a sudden. So my advice is set it up and give it time for the two to establish the connection.
