I have a great amount of respect for this man, and he speaks nothing but the absolute truth.

These robocalls tell of desperate campaign in its death throes -- the last gasping breath of a campaign that, beginning with racially tinged speeches at the RNC, has focused not on the issues of day but instead on appeals to the basest of human hatreds.

Yes, the low tactic successfully rallied the core Republican base, but it also alienated a large swath of independent voters -- voters who will decide this race. The gamble failed because, by and large, today's America is much better than that.

Even I was stunned when they didn't find anything! After all, we gave Iraq biowar weapons (including Anthrax) and "dual-use" technology that allowed them to make nerve agents in the early 80's when they were fighting Iran... and Rummy was Reagan's "Envoy to Iraq"!
