Question, how can I do blinking animation? I mean I would just do making the layer invisible by clicking the 'eyes' box, but when I move to a different frame and make the eyes visible again, the rest of the frames behind would just make the eyes visible again.

I wish there were more tools and they were a little more versatile and easier to use, or at least a better tutorial was given along with the software. Someone who isn't familiar with this sort of thing, or not a talented artist to begin with, will have trouble creating even something very simple with this. Maybe that's why most people I hear talking about this program say they perfer to create images in other programs and import them to anime studio.

Have you checked out the examples on the Anime Studio website? It includes everything from music videos to full length animations. You don't have to make Anime, it is for whatever your style of animation is. Anime Studio is highly rated and reviewed. Have you used it?

You can do whatever style you want in any animation software. I really wish they hadn't changed the name from MOHO to Anime Studio but just because the name changed doesn't mean you can only do Anime with it. I work with both Flash and Anime Studio. Flash is great for frame-by frame animation, Anime Studio is like a cross between Flash and 3D, you loose the frame-by-frame, but gain awesome tweening and great bones and switch layers.

In the end it all depends on what you are going for, and how good you are.

this software used to be called Moho, some years ago, then its name was changed to Anime Studio and now everybody think this is specially for making anime but actually you can draw in any style with the software so i would suggest you to get AS not because its better for making anime than flash but because its one of the best animation softwares available nowadays.

AE is a multi puprose tool used by pros in both the animation and video world.

Like I said to each his own but I've never heard of a single professional work created on "anime studio." At the end of the day they're all just tools though if you can do it with the tool you prefer, then go for it.

I can't decide which is better Toonboom Animate Pro or Anime Studio Pro 7. I like the capabilities of both software however I think Anime Studio's bone rigging and inverse kinematics features are still very powerful. I have yet to give it a test drive.

Anime Studio 5 sucks! I may get this software and save myself 1,000 dollars.
